Description of Work: Two caveats to this review: |1. I did not actually receive any services from this company |2. I have had similar problems with other services in this area | |I contacted Black Goose to schedule a cleaning of my chimney before the winter season. The woman I spoke with on the phone said that she would pass along my request, but that it was the busy season so it may be a few days. Totally understandable. | |10 days pass, I decide to call back and give them another shot. Different person on the phone who apologized for the lack of response, but stated that all she could do was pass along my request for contact and note that it was my second attempt. Wasn't her fault that this is the way their system is set up, but it was kind of disappointing to not have any real hope of moving forward. | |So here I am several days beyond that, still no contact. I've reached out to other businesses to schedule the cleaning, I guess Black Goose either has enough business that they don't need mine or their customer request system isn't very good. Disappointed.

Description of Work: Cleaned the fireplace and suggested adding a protective topper to prevent further bird nests in my fire place

Description of Work: They swept the chimney and inspected a pellet stove installation and the flew it drafts into. They were considerate and did an overall excellent job. We did have to wait longer than we would have preferred for the service but it was done when scheduled.

Description of Work: Arrived promptly, cleaned 2 chimneys and did a nice job cleaning up after the job was complete

Description of Work: Called Black Goose who is pretty far away from Boones Mill she wanted to get 203 appointments in the area before coming out which is understandable based on gas prices. They arrived and did a chimney cleaning. Very professional answered questions. I would use them again.

Description of Work: I called this company back in the fall concerning a chimney sweep. I was asked to leave a message and told that someone would call me back to arrange an appointment. That call never came. Granted, it was the beginning of their busy season, but someone should have been in touch.

Description of Work: Swept two chimneys and fixed a crack in one. Checked other flues but since we don't use them will have them cleaned at later date. Rearranged grates in fireplaces

Description of Work: Black Goose has been cleaning our chimneys since a flue fire several years ago. John Briscoe, one of the owners, is very professional and thorough. He recommended a new stove in one of our fireplaces a couple of years ago and we have been so thrilled with the outcome. We now would like to add another to our other fireplace. Black Goose is the only certified sweep in our area and to us that is very important. When they come to sweep they cover the area to keep the dust down to a minimum and also clean the area when complete. If BLack Goose has a emergency call they are quick to respond. This may require my appointment being changed to another time or date. This really is a comfort, feeling since one day I may be the emergency. I find their prices are very reasonable and enjoy having the workers in our home. Everyone is so friendly. This relationship has led us to a friendship and for that we are truly thankful.
