We completed a kitchen remodeling project with Rendon Remodeling in May 2011. This entailed moving a structural support beam (with the oversight of a structural engineer) to obtain the new floor plan we envisioned. As with any project….issues did come up but they were addressed quickly and often exceeded our expectation of what we had in mind. Prior to hiring Rendon Remodeling I had done quite a bit of research on them ahead of time (checked VA License, checked BBB standing, verified insurance, NARI certification, called and emailed 10-14 references etc.) so I was pretty confident we selected a good contractor. When we began construction planning Michael Rendon came to the table with a professional and diligent work ethic. We had multiple changes to our design ideas and all of the assistance with planning was greatly appreciated. Our Project Manager, Joseph Rendon was always available to us with any questions or concerns we had. He was on site daily, sometimes several times throughout the day. In addition his father, Fred Rendon also frequented the job site throughout the process. Although they had other jobs to contend with, we never felt like our project was insignificant. The communication we had with the company on a daily basis was excellent. Being able to communicate with the PM via text throughout the day…and multiple times a day…was fantastic. We received great customer care from Karen Rendon for the selection of our tiles and granite. I found this part of the project to be one of the most stressful as I am not one with a decorative eye so her patience and guidance was welcomed. Rendon did an excellent job of cleaning up everyday. Each night the worksite was swept, vacuumed, tools and materials placed in an orderly fashion (nothing was left unraveled or in a haphazard way). Rendon uses outside contractors for their plumbing and electrical, but they have had a working relationship with these contractors for several years...so they were not fly-by-night hires. As a precaution we asked to have copes of all their licenses/insurance certificates and asked them all to signs lien wavers. Although Rendon said they never had anyone ask them to do this before...they were happy to fulfill our request. Overall we were satisfied with Rendon Remodeling; their service and workmanship. We would definitely use them again (hope to do a Master Bath project someday) for future renovation projects. We would highly recommend them to anyone who is about to embark on a home remodeling project.
