Superb, quality work at a fair price. Lester Garcia was easy to work with and very helpful in suggesting some details we did not think of. His team takes pride in a job well done. I've already talked to Lester about additional work we have in mind for the near future.

It went fantastic. I don't think I had a better contractor in the past. He did exceptional work. I would recommend them.

Lester came out and did the estimate. Took a few days for him to send the estimate but it was acceptable. Work started promptly and the bulk of it was completed in a few days. However, there was some touch up work and a screen door needed to be put back and that took much more time than it should have. That was the only negative. The workers were friendly and professional and I will consider using them in the future.

After seeing how highly rated McLean Home Improvement was here on Angie's List, I called to see if I could get an estimate for a major renovation of a house that we have a contract on. When Mr. Garcia answered the phone and I explained what I was looking for, he didn't sound very interested in the job. He said he would check his schedule and call me "right back," but it's been several days and I haven't heard from him. I didn't get a very professional vibe from him and would not be interested in working with him even if he did call me back. Everyone else on Angie's List seems to have liked him, but I had a different experience.

Mr. Garcia was very punctual, professional, and completed the job in less than an hour. I supplied the new disposal, and he provided the labor. Comparatively speaking, his labor costs beat other companies hands down. I would highly recommend his company to anyone needing kitchen/bath home improvements because of his professionalism, positive attitude, and competence.

Due to a cancellation they had, I received "next day" service from my initial call to schedule. They arrived within a 15 minute window of when they were scheduled to be there, which I deem perfectly reasonable. They were courteous and tidy, and confirmed with me that I was satisfied with everything before they left.

I received various quotes and though Lester was slightly higher than all the rest, I quickly understood why. The quote was so detailed, I knew exactly what I was getting, the cost of everything down to the sq ft., etc. Because I was doing a complete kitchen remodel I was hesitant of changing the layout. Lester came out, not once, but twice to ensure everything was going to be exactly they way I wanted it. Custom shelving including for the microwave. The professionalism, help and hard work was well beyond anything I could have imagined. As a younger woman, I really appreciated the extra time Lester took to help me when picking out the counter tops, floors and back splash. He certainly has an "eye" for style and the hard working, polite contractors to go along with it. My project was supposed to take 3 weeks, they were done a couple days early. This is even after the fact that I changed my mind on the paint color and caused them to have to re-paint 3-4 times and added an unexpected pantry shelves into the mix. The guys were polite and did a great job keeping the house "Clean" with putting down tarps and always cleaning up after themselves. They were even great about my cats being out. MHI even had a cleaning woman come in after the job was done to clean the kitchen! I have already recommended McLean Home Improvement to others and will be getting a quote for my front door replacement with them soon. They will not disappoint!

We installed new cabinets, new granite countertops and backsplash, a new porcelain tile floor, new lighting, and tore down a wall between the kitchen and dining room. This was not only a load bearing wall, but a significant amount of plumbing and electricity connections needed to be rerouted. We interviewed seven contractors, and are very glad we selected McLean Home Improvement. We are very happy with the work and we love our new kitchen. Our main point of contact was Lester Garcia. Lester is not only very knowledgeable, but very easy to work with as well. He accompanied us to the marble/granite store to select the granite slab for our countertops, and also to the tile store to help select our floor tile and backsplash. He was very responsive to my emails and phone calls. He also provided a fixed schedule for the project (three weeks), and kept to the schedule. This was very important to us because we had heard horror stories from friends about contractors beginning a project and then disappearing. McLean Home Improvement is meticulous in their work. We were very impressed with the quality. They did this all at what we thought was a very reasonable price. Selecting the was a very good decision! We will be using them for other projects around the house.

Lester and his group was hard-working, trustworthy and very professional. We would hire them again anytime. We love our Kitchen

Overall I was very happy with Lester and his crew. We had some schedule slips due to extreme weather but Lester capitalized on good weather whenever possible even if it meant working on a Sunday to make up for lost time. A little delay while waiting for a permit as well. Minor debris left on driveway and yard but once brought to Lester's attention the situation was resolved right away. The job is not quite finished as we are waiting on the fabrication and installation of the stair railing and some minor finish work. Lester came to my job almost everyday his crew was working to oversee their work. I will definitely use this company in the future. The installation of the stair railing has been completed and passed all county inspections for all work.

Lester was very professional in his dealings before and after signing the contract. He stuck to the agreed upon schedule and price for the most part. The sole exception was that he was to fix a garden window for which he depended on the manufacturer - and it turned out, after the contract was signed, that the window would be delivered late. So, the window dragged the month long project by another month, but we were able to use the kitchen after the original finish date. I learned about him from one of the kitchen remodeling specials that he offered and overall, he did a fantastic job. His strengths are a thorough understanding of his projects and great capability in the operations and logistics aspects of the project. His crew is well skilled. Even when he suggests workarounds or design changes, the outcome is beautiful and well engineered. The quality of the work (tile, countertop, backsplash,electrical...etc) is just amazingly good. He knows what he is doing, and this is a big plus on an expensive job. I wish he would do a better job at containing the dust from entering the house. They put plastic sheet barriers on the first day, but those became ripped soon thereafter, and his crew would sometimes forget to put them back on after their visits to the restrooms. Communication with him was spotty. Sometimes it would be prompt and comprehensive, and at other times I would feel as if he ignored my emails. His Angie's List deals are a solid value.

We didn't work with them because we found someone that we had previously worked with that said they could do the job and it was somebody we knew and trusted. He was really nice and gave a great quote. The pricing was really good. He was really thorough. He didn't charge for the quote. They were really good. I would call them again.

From our very first encounter, Lester and his crew were professional, helpful and a pleasure to work with. Lester visited our home for the initial assessment and provided a thorough and detailed evaluation of our kitchen renovation. His initial quote was very close to what we ended up paying (a few unexpected events increased the price but we were informed ) and he finished the job on the date that he initially gave us!! Prior to beginning the renovations, he joined us at each retail location to pick out the tiles, back splash and countertops and provided us with his professional opinion when he was asked. Lester listened to what we wanted and made adjustments to the design when needed. The workmanship on each detail in the kitchen (floor tiles, back splash, cabinets, customized corner cabinet, granite countertops) is incredible! Additionally, Lester was immediately responsive to all of our concerns and requests during the job. For example, we didn't like the customized corner wall unit after it was installed because it didn't match the base unit. Lester acknowledged our concerns and made some recommendations. Within a day or two, we had a customized cabinet that matched the base, and it looks amazing. We also found a few minor things that we wanted fixed after the job was completed which Lester took care of. Lester's team is hard-working, trustworthy and very professional. We would hire them again anytime and will recommend them to our neighbors and friends. WE LOVE OUR NEW KITCHEN!!

McLean home improvement has the most reasonable price compared to other vendors' quote. The owner is responsive via phone or email. The crew has done a fantastic job on tiling our basement. We don't have to worry have to stay home they have a lock box and they complete our huge basement ahead of schedule. We are pretty happy about the result. Also one thing I would like to mention they are very flexible, our basement has leaking problem at one of our unfinished room, they are fine to come back to finish it after a month once that leaking problem is fixed.

They did a great job but it was a bet messy and lots of dust every where. I am having some cracks coming back and I am calling them back to fix.

This was a very good experience from start to finish. Lester came out and provided an estimate form the work as well as some suggestions to consider. It was a two day job that needed to be spread out over a week's time so as to allow for installation of a stone counter top. Lester provided me with scheduling options and was able to accommodate our needs in a timely manner. He worked the first day with another employee and sent two others to complete the work the second day. Lester followed up to address some minor concerns as well. I found him to be very approachable, informative and receptive. I would have preferred a bit more communication with the workers who performed the job, and this might have avoided the need for a follow up to address some minor concerns.

The contractors were prompt, the crew courteous and the work very satisfactory.

Overall it went well. Lester, the manager, was often on the site or came to check up on things. The load bearing wall was our chief concern in this remodel and we chose MHI because Lester seemed to be knowledgeable on the structural work and he was reasonably priced overall (although in the end MHI did not turn out to be our lowest estimate). The structural work was completed quickly, passed inspection, and blended smoothly into our ceilings and walls. We had some snags unrelated to the contractor but rather with the cabinets that we had purchased from another source, late delivery and quality issues, and Lester took additional steps to help us overcome the problems, including rebuilding an entire tall pantry cabinet that didn't fit on site. We had some issues with minor errors made by some of his crew (with the replacement flooring, some drill holes where they shouldn't have been, damage to a drawer face during granite installation), but in the end they addressed practically everything and in addition they had gone over and above in some other areas so we are happy with the work and final product.

Overall it went really well. They started and finished on time. The quality of work was good and when I noticed a few missing final touches in the end, they came back right away to fix them.

This was one of the best experiences I've had with a contractor and we've done a lot of work in our house. Lester and his MHI team were incredibly professional. The work started on time and completed when the work was done to a level Lester would find acceptable in his own home. I was well informed throughout the process and anytime there was a decision to be made Lester would provide the tradeoffs and allow me to make the decision. When they were finished the cleaned the area so well that is was hard to believe we even had work done. I highly recommend MHI and can't wait to have them back to do more work.

Sorry it has taken my so long to write this review..... I worked directly with Lester Garcia during the whole project. He fixed the shower leak, installed new plumbing fixtures in the shower, installed a new glass door, installed new granite counters, designed the bathroom remodel, met me at the tile store to help me pick tile and pattern, installed a new bathtub, filled and painted the holes in the kitchen ceiling, did an outstanding job installing a very intricate travertine tile pattern throughout the bathroom, and painted the bathroom walls and ceiling. I hope I didn't leave anything out. Lester and his crew did an outstanding job. They were professional, neat and the bathroom is absolutely gorgeous! I think there are pictures of my bathroom on his website. I highly recommend McLean Home Improvement! I have recommended them to friends and I would certainly use them again.

I highly recommend McClean Home Improvement after using them for a complete kitchen remodel. I found Lester Garcia on Angie's List and now understand why his company is so highly rated. It's hard to find words to adequately describe how phenomenal my experience was with Lester and his crew. They are extremely reliable, detail-oriented, and hard-working. They completed my kitchen under budget and on time. In less than three weeks, they gutted the kitchen and installed hardwood floors, new window, granite counters, and all new cabinets. Lester is easy to work with; he never gave me the hard sell. He is extremely knowledgeable - he kept costs low, had great design ideas, and identified ways for me to save money. The supervisor on my job, Antonio, was a pleasure to work with. His crew was always professional. They sealed off the kitchen to keep my house dust-free and they cleaned up every night before leaving. They were very trustworthy and completed the job as promised with great attention to even the most minor details. Lester was onsite most of the time and always returned calls quickly and delivered on every promise. I was impressed by the fact that Lester's crew were all employees of his company and were very experienced in their areas of expertise. They did such a great job that I never had to call Lester after the fact to get things done. My kitchen is perfect! I also used McClean Home Improvement to paint my living room. I highly recommend this contractor for any job, big or small.

MHI did an outstanding job and made the exterior of our home look brand new. The team was meticulous in its attention to detail, ensuring everything was done exactly as we envisioned at the beginning. This is the second major project on which we used MHI and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

The renovation went great. Lester and his workers at Mclean Home Improvement stuck to the 2 week delivery time-frame to complete our full kitchen remodel even after additional work was added to the original job. Lester was a true professional from the first visit where he spent as much time as needed to get the design correct on the new kitchen. He wanted to make sure it was perfect for us. He even made some great suggestions that we added to the design. The crew showed up on time the first day and worked every day until completion and my family was thrilled with the end results. Lester could relate to our schedule because of his young children, and wanted to make sure to meet the 2 week delivery as agreed upon. This was extra important, because my 21 month old daughter and wife went to live with Grandma for the 2 weeks during the renovation. We wanted them to move back into the house as soon as possible and leave the workers with room to work. The kitchen turned out even better than we imagined. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Lester and his crew to friends and family and whoever asks if I know of a good contractor. Mclean Home Improvement does an excellent job for a very reasonable price.

I set an appointment with these folks to take measurements and receive a quote. Lester Garcia showed up last Sat (Dec 7) two hours later than the agreed time. That notwithstanding, as we've been discussing removal of the partial wall, Garcia proposed to cut a hole on the ceiling of the kitchen to see if the wall proposed to be removed is load-bearing, in order to give "a more accurate estimate" on the job. I reluctantly agreed, as I was under assumption that he will patch the hole back after looking and making his judgement on the wall. He decided to cut two large holes (one on the ceiling and the other on the soffit) and that really made me and my wife upset. As it was late and we were waiting for some guests to arrive soon, we decided not to ask him to patch the holes at that moment, thinking that we will do it at time of remodeling. We were in fact anticipating to receive a quote from this company. We have yet to receive the estimate from this company. Instead, I received few phone calls from Garcia, telling me that he left his catalogs at our home and would like to pick them up. Today I called Garcia asking him to come and patch the holes back when he comes to pick up his catalogs. He told me that the job will cost me $225 per hole!!! And I never asked this idiot make the holes in the first instance! Overall, that's the worst experience I've had interactive with a contractor. The guy was very unprofessional, didn't understand what we wanted to have, does not have a vision, and, very irresponsible!
