Description of Work: I didn't have to be home at the time of service. The job was completed and the clean up was done while I was away. Very satisfied with job and service.

Description of Work: I wanted them to sealcoat as well as address large cracks that needed to be filled. They refused to come out for estimate saying they had already surveyed prior to sending out the postcard mailer. They said their techs were very knowledgeable as to how to address all the driveway services. I stupidly scheduled the appointment for the services. The day of the appointment came and went. I called to find out why they didn't come as scheduled. They said bad weather was coming and they had called me first thing in the morning to cancel, but I never had a call, missed or otherwise on my cell number, the only one I gave them. And it was sunny all day. So we rescheduled for the following Friday. Another day waiting. They showed up around 3pm. I went out to show and explain to the workers what was needed. They looked at me with blank stares and appeared not to understand much English. I kept trying to explain and then they nodded and said lots of okays. They ended up taking a bucket of black goo and spreading it on the driveway. They took a smaller jug out of their truck and filled it with what looked to be the same goo and splashed it sloppily into the large cracks which did nothing but create a h*** of mess and splash marks which the sealer did not cover. I still have the original gaping cracks and the splash marks on my driveway. The sealer is very cheap, not thick or applied like a previous company had done in past years. I did not contact the company as I noticed how the manager/owner has made excuses and does nothing for complaints according to Angies list. I went by the grade and did not dig into the details, regrettably. I won't not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I am done with them and am trying to find a reputable and higher quality company to fix my driveway now. Don't ever fall for those cheap mailer prices! I won't. Lesson learned.

Description of Work: The company originally came out, I spoke to a technician about some stains in our driveway. I was assured the driveway was going to be cleaned before the sealant was put down. Came home two days later in the place where this asphalt was stained was Already peeling up. Talk to the owner of the company, He was very rude and unprofessional. They did come back out to reseal the driveway, but it wasn't done any better the second time it was the first time. Stay away from this company don't ever use them shoddy workmanship, it reminds me of the traveling craftsmen that never do the job properly for the money. FAIL!!!!

Description of Work: Academy did a very nice job of sealing my driveway. There were some small cracks through the sealer throughout, probably because the weather turned cold. I sent them pictures and they immediately responded advising they would seal the entire driveway again at no charge. Very happy with their service, and immediate response to my concerns.

Description of Work: Our driveway was sealed. Our biggest concern, which we voiced before we had the work done, was the cracks in the asphalt. We were told that Academy Sealers had some kind of material that had something that would expand and contract and rid the asphalt of cracks. We were so pleased with the results that we told our next door neighbors who then had their driveway done a day or two later. After the first day, the material in some of the cracks had sunk and the cracks again were there. We spoke to one of the workers next door who came back to us and applied some more sealant. The cracks are now much better. However, our neighbors were not so fortunate as the people missed some cracks and didn't do a good job on the others. They called but were told that there was nothing more you could do. Their problem is why you did not get the best rating.

Description of Work: Provided sealing for driveway. Before they arrived I had trimmed the grass along the driveway and taped off the brick sidewalk and the concrete to the garage to prevent overspray.

Description of Work: Had my driveway sealed. They were the best price and did an outstanding job (normally I don't hire the low-bidder but I was so impressed by my neighbor's driveway I tried them). Not only did they do a great job, but they can back and sealed a crack in the driveway that they forgot to seal. It was the crack from the invisible dog fence wire. I have mentioned it to them on the phone and then when I put on the invoice that they forgot to do it, they sent me an email that they were coming back! I really appreciate that kind of service. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: Received prompt estimate and service. Company applied thick coating of sealer and left no mess whatsoever. However, they did apply sealer on top on some moss in a shady area of my driveway and on an area where I had removed ground cover, both places without cleaning/brushing first. I told the company of this discrepancy on my feedback form and never heard back. Price was 150% of another Angie's list A-lister that was slow to submit a bid. It might be that the price I paid was higher because Academy certainly applied a lot of sealer. I would use this company again, but would warn them that they need to clean the surface appropriately first as advertised.

Description of Work: I made 1 phone call to this place was given a very reasonable quote, decided to go ahead and schedule. I was given a date just 2 days away and although it rained on the day I was scheduled they were nice enough to call me to tell me they would have to reschedule for the next day. No one had to be home for this treatment, so they just came and took care of it and left my bill in my mailbox. My one regret is that I do have a fairly significant crack in my asphalt driveway that I should have told them about so they could have made repairs and then sealed. I'm sure that would have cost more.
