The Contractors Inc: Kitchen Cabinet Refacers

This is the second time we hired The Contractors. No high pressure sales pitches, no extra costs. The bathroom cabinet refacing turned out great. Our old 1980’s Wood cabinets are now a clean white. I can’t tell you how much better the bathroom looks. 3 hours and it’s done.

From meeting with Jon for estimate, to measuring with Jeremiah, to Alex installing, everything was great. Cabinets and workmanship is top notch. Job finished on time. Omar, the owner, is very responsive to texts and phone calls. Love my new kitchen. Highly recommend The Contractor's Inc.

The company did an excellent job on our kitchen cabinets; their employees Alex Solórzano and Jorge were very professional and outstanding craftsman. The company delivered on everything that they promised they would.

After several estimates and just not getting a good feeling and ready to give up, we contacted The Contractors Inc. Jon Engel was our salesman and was very thorough, considerate, and made this difficult process mush easier. Jon listened to our needs and helped us make the right decisions. Our refacing, new counter-tops, install back-splash, and associated plumbing/electrical only took three days. The install crew was on time, meticulous and cleaned up everything. Overall, The Contractors Inc. had the best price but had high quality materials and craftsmanship. We could not be more pleased with the entire process. We highly recommend The Contractors Inc.

Very happy. Jon worked with us on our pantry and cabinet design.. Liked that we were able to do some diy to lower construction price. They then finished the project in 3 days as promised. Worked with us to get what we wanted.

Fantastic. All of the employees were meticulous and worked to assure the best product. The owner, Omar, came to the home to assure that the renovation was on track. I could not be happier with my experience working with The contractors, Inc.! From start to finish they were considerate and professional. They are very proud of their high ratings-- and they should be-- because they earn them! I can’t think of anything I would change about the overall experience or my new kitchen! The original bid was completed by Jon. Jeremiah (and his helper Amy) did the resurfacing, Ariel provided the countertops and Gerardo did the tile backsplash and fireplace surround. All five were meticulous and easy to work with. Even though I had not yet moved into my townhouse, every evening the job site was left clean. After the job was complete, the area was likely left cleaner than before it was started. Another thing I really liked about working with this crew was they never hesitated to stop what they were doing and ask me for my preference if there was a choice to be made. I have built a house and remodeled several and do not believe any group I have worked with has been as good at communicating. If you are thinking about updating your kitchen and you are generally happy with the layout, then you can’t go wrong with cabinet resurfacing-- if you hire The Contractors Inc! They really know what they are doing, and you will have what will feel like a brand new kitchen at a much lower price than purchasing new cabinets.

We hired The Contractors Inc. to reface kitchen cabinets, and needed a very fast turnaround. Jon worked with us to meet the deadline. Omar did a great job of doing the measurements and Alex and Jorge did a fabulous job of actually installing the new facing. It looks like we have brand new cabinets! They have a strong work ethic and and excellent workmanship. Given how difficult it can sometimes be dealing with contractors, this experience was actually a pleasure!

Very professional job. Addressed any concerns quickly and courteously. Very good value for the money. Be aware that some colors do not exactly match on doors and boxes. This did not bother us but it is a potential concern Highly recommend this company.

We were very pleased with the high quality work and the results of the project. Jeremiah (the specialist who did the work) was very careful, patient and detail-oriented. He took the time to make sure everything fit and that the end result met our expectations.

A year ago I had given up on finding a refacing company after contacting 3 that required my husband to be home at the time of the estimate - which he did not want to do and which I found very insulting. Desperate to reface the kitchen cabinets I went back to Angie's List to look for another company. From my first phone call I had an excellent experience. Jon called me right back and made an appointment to visit our home the next week. When I asked Jon if my husband had to be present he said absolutely not. The estimate was thorough and was completed in about 30 minutes. Jon brought samples and photos their work. He is a friendly and very knowledgeable young man and a pleasure to work with. He had exactly the type of white, raised panel door I wanted. The doors and drawers are solid, open fully and soft close. I also requested they install a trash and recycle drawer (and I love the convenience). I wanted to do something about the plain surface on my island and peninsula and Jon suggested a bead board which looks beautiful. I opted to keep my original knobs. A week after the estimate Alex came to take measurements, he was quick and efficient. A week after that Omar called to give me the date of installation. It was about 7 weeks between placing the order and installation, but was well worth the wait. Omar called the night before to confirm the installation the next day. Alex came back with Victor and Carlos. They hung a plastic sheet from the ceiling to keep the dust from sanding out of the rest of the house. The team worked hard and quietly each day and were a pleasure to have in our home. It is a loud and kind of smelly process due to sanding, cutting and gluing, but the entire kitchen was complete in 2 1/2 days and it is beautiful! Omar came the last morning to check the work and make sure I was happy with the experience. My only regret is that I did not find The Contractors, Inc. sooner because this was the best renovation experience I have ever had.

This company was amazing. I highly recommend them. Alex and Carlos worked tirelessly and got everything done in less than 2 weeks. The Contractors, Inc. gave me everything I asked for--and then some. They installed some new cabinets to make the changes I wanted and refaced the others, When one cabinet wasn't the pull-out that I wanted, I realized that I was never clear on what I wanted and when I checked the contract, it just had a cabinet listed. I was willing to accept the plain cabinet, since it was my fault that I wasn't clear, but they ordered the parts for the pull out and gave me what I wanted. Their constant message was that they wanted me to be happy and I definitely am. When my new dishwasher was installed, there was a problem with the electrical and plumbing. Alex stayed late and fixed them for me. Also, when I mentioned that I had to find someone to do my floors, Omar recommended Gerardo Mora (who also did my ceiling renovation and the painting). The 2 teams communicated with each other and worked to get their jobs done without getting in each others way. So happy that I chose this group to give me my dream kitchen and bathrooms.

You both were the ultimate professional and took care of everything in under 8 hours and left the apartment cleaner then when you came. Alex and Carlos from Contractor's Inc did a wonderful job completing our new kitchen. Upon completion, the owner Omar came out and inspected. He was very pleasant and clearly wants his customers to be satisfied. He also provides a lifetime warranty. The final transformation of our kitchen was amazing. The sales/customer service Jon provided for us was top notch. We preferred a resurfacing material that Contractor's Inc did not normally stock. However, Jon promptly located it and updated the original quote accordingly. Lastly, one of the nice things about this contracting company is they don't play high pressure games. We had other companies provide us quotes that were good for "today only." The quote Jon provided us was good as long as materials were available.

Incredible service and workmanship. The best part was that there was NO sales pitches. We had our kitchen and bath done at half the cost of their competitors.

We felt very confident choosing this company from the very beginning! Not only was their quote better than the competitors, but Jonathan gave a better overview of their service, which helped make our decision. The crew was always very punctual and professional, and finished refacing our large kitchen and butlers pantry in only 5 days- we now have the trendy kitchen we always wanted. The owner of the company, Omar, also made it a point to check in and visit the job to make sure we were satisfied- We highly recommend calling The Contractors, Inc. for an estimate if considering any kitchen remodel work!

Everything went very well. Wanted to update my kitchen but was on a budget. Visited there booth at the Gaithersburg home show and scheduled an appointment. Was quoted the best price for cabinet refacing and countertop. They would tile the backsplash at no cost if I provided the tile. Visit was scheduled that they where prompt. Cabinates turned out much better then I expected. Tile job is superb. I would highly recommend and plan on hiring them again for another job in the future.

Very professional and efficient people. The kitchen looks great, they even installed a new back splash for us for a small additional fee. In addition to refacing the current cabinets, they installed a new set of cabinets over the refrigerator, replaced a broken lazy susan, and replaced a water damage, rotten cabinet under the sink. They did all of this in just 2 1/2 days! i was very satisfied with the entire experience, from the guy who came out to give us an estimate, the people who did the work, and the owner, who came by to make sure we were happy.

The crew was very puntual and started working right away. They sent three men and they all had their jobs to do. They were very courteous and polite and were great to work with. They didn't mind that dogs were curious and were very nice to them. They answered every question we had and the finished product is beautiful. I would definitely hire this company again.

The scheduling was fantastic, the sales rep and scheduler was incredibly thorough and explained the process completely. The installing crew were very skilled, punctual and cleaned up nicely after the project was done. We took the time to get quotes from other companies and we are so please with the end result. Out kitchen and bathrooms look amazing. The Contractors would have won the job if we only considered price, but we also felt the product was superior. Nicely done and money well spent!!

It went great! The installers were very professional, arrived promptly, and cleaned up before they left every day. They did beautiful work! My husband and I cannot believe that it's the same kitchen! We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Additionally, we appreciate the level of interaction with the owner, Omar Hamden. He was with us every step of the way, and was responsive to our [changing] needs. For example, we initally wanted a corner area with a drawer and doors to cover our trash and recycle receptacles. During the installation it became apparent that the drawer would not be needed. Our installers re-measured and will return to install new doors as soon as they are made. In the meantime, they put in the original doors and drawer front we ordered so the kitchen still has a completed look. I also later realized that I could use two more slide-outs, which were not in the original order. Omar was happy to work with us on that and had the two slide-outs installed.

The owner, Omar, was personally involved with the refacing project of our large kitchen. He met with us to explain the process and to answer all our questions. He also called often to verify receipt of materials and start dates etc. The installation team, Alex and Carlos, arrived on time both days and our whole kitchen took them only two days. The experience of this team was obvious. These gentlemen are absolute craftsmen. Their work ethic and attention to detail was amazing, and they worked diligently to achieve perfection. I thought our existing cabinets were well made, but I wanted a more modern look. I had no idea how average and unfinished they were compared to our newly refaced cabinets. Our new ones are finished beautifully, even the underneath and the sides, and we have all new moldings and toekicks. I smile whenever I come into my new, bright kitchen! Alex and Carlos were a pleasure to have in our house, protected surrounding areas, and cleaned up well. We would highly recommend The Contractors Inc. Our kitchen transformation is awesome!
