John arrived within the two hour window I was given. I had been quoted a price of $149 to clean and inspect my chimney. After looking, he told me it wasn't very dirty and didn't require cleaning at this time. Said he would just perform the inspection for $75. After getting on the roof he gave a favorable report on the state of the fireplace chimney, roof shingles, and furnace chimney, and told me to call him in a couple years for cleaning. His honesty was most appreciated.

John, the owner of Fairfax Chimney, came out to our house on 10/8/2012. He arrived during the 2 hour window he gave me over the phone. We had recently purchased our house and had no idea about the shape of the Chimneys/fireplaces. John did an excellent job sweeping them - not a speck of dust got inside our house. He inspected the inside and outside and said everything looked great. He gave us some safety tips and suggestions on where to get wood and the type of wood to burn. He said our Chimney caps were starting to rust, but still had a couple of more years in them. Did NOT try to upsell us on services/repairs/products. Highly recommend!

They are very professional and responsive. When I had a problem they came back and fixed it for me, even after it being a year later.

He was on time and professional. He cleaned both of our fireplaces and cleaned up afterwards. We were renters at the time and now own our own home and will call him again. We need a new fence as well and thinking about calling him for an estimate.

He did a great job! The owner does his own work, so it’s hard to get scheduled in the same week that you call. He was thorough, clean, and very professional. Everything went well overall and I’ll call him again next year!

The company representative arrived on time and did the work in a clean and efficient way. He gave us an estimate for additional work on our chimney which we may have done in the future. Our fireplace is working well and we were pleased with the work.

Every time I called this company, John, the president answered the phone. He was very responsive. I got his name from a neighbor. He looked at all the work I wanted done and gave me a few options and estimates. His work involved our home and a rental property-three chimneys in all. We hadn't used one chimney in years because it blew smoke into the room from the recessed lighting by the chimney. He recommended a solution and we agreed and the work was done promptly. I asked him to sweep the chimney in our rental, which he did, and one of the two chimneys in our home and he said it didn't need it (honesty). I used both chimneys in our house this past week and was so happy! The damaged chimney did not blow smoke and it no longer leaks when it rains. I am VERY happy with Fairfax's response, honesty and price. A great big A+!

I've been using John/Fairfax Chimney for ten years (cleaning every few years). He is great - thorough, responsive, etc. I will be calling him again in the future for more work.

John installed a new chimney cap at our old house a few years ago. He idd a fantastic job. We were hoping to hire him again to work on the chimney's in our new house. He came out to our new house to look at the chimneys. They are very large (1 chimney has 3 fireplaces and the second chimney has two fireplaces) and have crakced crowns a few other problems. He said that he wouldn't be able to help us because of the size and complexity of our chimney problems. I REALLY respected his honesty. I would hire him again any time.

They really did a good job. The person who came out was very knowledgeable about the job. He did the job very quickly and very cleanly. He was very clean. I have two dogs and my dogs did not bother him at all. One of my dogs like people so it will be climbing over the shoulder if you are doing something, he had no problem at all with that. He did a timely and professional job. I like Fairfax Chimney & Fence, Inc. service because they came out quickly. They found the time that was almost like a last minute. They were on time. I would use their service in the future too.

The guy's name was John Orosch. The people that were here previously put the wrong cap on and the squirrels had gotten in. That was several years ago. I don't remember how much it cost, but it was worth every penny. We tried getting the squirrels out ourselves and that was a pretty stinky job. By the time you know they are in there, they are dead and have been there a while because you can get the smell. It's not a pleasant job. I think Fairfax preferred to do fences. My overall experience was excellent. You call them up and whatever you can get is what you take. They were comparable with anybody else on price. Their quality was very good. Their responsiveness was very good. They came out right away. If I needed to I would use them, but hopefully they fixed it so I will never need to.

After all the trouble I've had with a bathroom remodeler recently, I can't tell you how happy I am with Fairfax Chimney's service. John showed up for the estimate when he said he would, he only asked for a third down, and he started the work 2 weeks after the estimate when he said he would. He matched my antique brick as closely as it could be matched, and his crew did an excellent job matching up the pattern to my old brick. He finished when he said he would and fulfilled all of his promises and didn't even hound us for the rest of the money, unlike a certain bathroom remodeler who keeps asking for money but doesn't keep its promises. I highly recommend this company.

VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL ABOUT HOW TO USE THE FIREPLACE AND WHERE TO GET FIREWOOD LOCALLY. PRIOR TO THIS VISIT, WE'D NO IDEA HOW TO USE OUR FLUE, BUT JOHN SHOWED US HOW. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
