Postcards announcing the treatment date each month, but could change that date if needed. When I had mosquitos in the yard just a few days after a treatment, I called for a retreat, and they scheduled another treatment within a few days and without any questions asked. This responsiveness was very much appreciated.

The first treatment seemed to go well, and I noticed a marked decrease in the bugs for about 3 weeks. Then their scheduling got mixed up, and I didn't serviced for 6 weeks (when I was supposed to get serviced approx every 4). After that the pests returned after about 2 weeks. This last time, mosquitos were back wihin a week, and stink bugs were there in 10 days. I have to say I haven't seen any ticks on the pups all summer, but the dogs are treated monthly too. I live in a highly wooded area, but my yard is cleared, and is about 3/4 of acres (I'm guessing). If the technician spends 20 minutes spraying the property, I'm surprised. Although I was told it is a high powered sprayer, it is still hard for me to believe it is adequate to spray a wooded area in that short of time. I doubt I will use them again, although they were very nice people.

The technician arrived before the scheduled time, we were outside shopping, he waited for us without any complain, he asked if he could tour the house first (which he did) and looked inside cabinets, behind doors, etc... searching for insects. he thoroughly explained the difference between spraying the inside and the outside of the house and the benefits of each. He also took us throught he brochure of services that Protech provides and introduced us to his "termite inspectors" (2 little cute dogs, their pictures are on his van). finished in 30 minutes, gave us his card and left. we didn't have any major insect issues at the house, it was just a move in precaution. recommended.

We contacted Colony Pest control about ant infestation in the kitchen area. The service provider was courteous and professional.

I contacted Protech to get a inspection for termites in a home that we will be purchasing soon. Steve showed up on time and did a thorough visual inspection in which he explained a number of things that a homeowner should watch for. Steve then introduced me to his termite sniffing dog, Marlowe. Marlowe checked everywhere and luckily found nothing. Steve then hid a vile containing termites in the bathroom and within a short period of time Marlowe found it. I was very impressed!

He was late and calling the office was frustrating as the customer service representative couldn't reach the pest control technician to find out why he was delayed. He was professional and explained what he would he doing to control the spiders with spray. The spray was deemed safe; however as a precaution - we waited 24 hours before permitting our grandchildren to play downstairs.

It went well. The dog sniffed around and didn't find any termites in the house.

ProTech Termite & Pest Control have been very responsive. What happened is when they spray and there's a heavy rain that basically washes their spray away so you give them a call and say "oh my god! I found a mosquito," they'll come right back out so they've been very good.

A representative of this company knocked on my door this afternoon; when I answered, he didn't introduce himself, he just asked if I were the homeowner, and then queried, "Are you aware that you and your neighbors have a big problem?" First, I hate when service people do cold calling in person at my home. Second, I really dislike when the approach is to try to frighten me that I have some kind of major issue - especially when I don't. His next comment was that I had a "major carpenter ant infestation that was going to damage the foundation of my home...they're everywhere around your house." This he noticed following a cursory examination of the area immediately around my front door after walking up my steps. Yeah. Right. Given that my house is fully parged, surrounded by brickwork and was recently dug out at the foundation for the installation of french drains (and no signs of any problems were noted), added to the fact that I have a contract for these kinds of issues, not to mention carpenter ants almost never (except in areas not ours) create the kinds of problems he was saying I had (and again, he had no opportunity to actually inspect my house), this guy was clearly hustling to provide services that people don't really need. Then, he insulted the company I do work with, saying that they weren't doing a good job if they let this problem persist. Again - WHAT problem?? So my comment to ProTech is: Don't do that. Don't use these kinds of underhanded practices to drum up business. It looks like you have a decent reputation when you actually do work for people. You don't have to go around making up problems to sell people services they don't need. It just makes you look really slimy and underhanded.

The agent showed up at the beginning of the 2-hr window set up that same morning over the phone. He was very friendly and open about what he would do to alleviate our ant invasion, but when it came to discussing the price, I brought up the $79 deal they are currently offering on AL. I was pretty much ready to sign on the spot to be rid of the ants. He said that he wouldn't do that, and instead directed me to their $390 six-treatment deal (so, $65x6 bimonthly treatments). I turned down the deal that cost 5 times what I was willing to commit to and, using the power of Google, found a $5 solution that has worked outstandingly in 24 hours (boric acid, sugar, and honey in solution with some cotton balls in a container with a punctured lid) and I can do it 20 more times with no additional costs.

Hired them for 5 monthly applications over the summer to prevent mosquitoes. Did first application. but did not come back. Called them June 19th. Asked them why they had not been back. They said due to the rain they could not make the application. They said they would be out on the 26th. No one showed. When I called them the next day, they did not know why the technician did not come out. Said he would be out on the Friday the 28th. He showed up about 3:00 pm. The sky was dark gray and we were about to have heavy thunderstorms. I asked him why he would be applying the treatment if it was going to rain. He said if it rained he would come back and retreat the area. I told him not to treat and I will reschedule. This company has to get their story straight. Can't come out because of the rain then they come out when it is going to rain. Very disorganized. I am 2 weeks away from when I am supposed to get my third treatment and I haven't even gotten my 2nd treatment.

I am very pleased with them. I like them and the company. I have done business with them for 8 years. They call me and remind me and make sure the pets are inside. They leave a card on the door explaining what they did if I am not there and if I am there they talk to me and explain everything.

The technician educated us about termites, showed us excellent brochures that displayed the indicators and what termites look like. He also told us they have dogs that are trained to smell the termites if necessary. Since our walls were open and he had easy access to the foundation and ceiling areas of the basement, he felt his inspection was very accurate. Very pleasant to talk to and very knowledgeable. If we ever experience pest difficulties, I know we will call them again.

Missy kicked it off with pleasant communicating skills. She was extremely helpful, personal, and professional. She got right back with me and gave me choices. We got a plan together and just when I thought it couldn't get any better Michael showed up. The pace and energy didn't miss a beat.

Extremely punctual and professional. Very knowledgeable. A little on the pricey side.

Mr. Grigsby was punctual and was very thorough each time. He was very professional and we could count on him doing a good job. We were never bothered by fleas, ticks or mosquitos during this time. We would definitely recommend this company and also Mr. Grigsby.

My husband had noticed an abundance of ants and I had had 2 companies come to evaluate the problem. I felt that neither had been honest with me so I got the Pro-Tech number from Angie's List. Mr. Maurer honestly told me that the ants were more of a nuisance than an actual problem. I then asked him about being pro-active and getting protection to prevent a future termite infestation. Mr. Mauer gave me an estimate. I had seen a coupon on Angie's List for the service, but could no longer locate it. Mr. Mauer called his office and honored the coupon anyway.

Both employees were professional, appeared competent, explained everything, and were actually a little (not insanely) early. Both times, I wasn't quite ready for them (because they were early!), and they accommodated me.

It is easy to see how this company has the stellar ratings it has. I called late morning and by afternoon they were here. First of all I was impressed to see in their descriptor on the Angies page that they deal with bedbugs. That helped alot to narrow a company down. Then I read that they had a bedbug sniffing dog. I have read about and seen these dogs in action on TV and if trained properly, they are highly reliable. James arrived and did a thorough visual inspection of two bedrooms, taking the mattresses off and inspecting and also doing a thorough inspection of the boxsprings. He inspected behind the headboards and around the room. That much was free of charge. He had Roxie in the car and asked if I wanted to have her come in and check. That would be $225, but I readily agreed to it. Roxie is a terrier and sniffing out bedbugs is all she does. She went room to room in the whole house twice, paying particular attention to the beds and suitcases. Fortunately for us, she found nothing. I had a good opportunity to speak with James, the handler. He is extremely knowledgeable about bedbugs. I had already done hrs of research myself and he confirmed everything I had already learned. He took all the time necessary to do a thorough job and even offered to return in two weeks free of charge to do a followup. While bedbugs are something everyone hopes they never have to deal with, chances are you will. They are rampant. Best advice for anyone who encounters the problem is to call in ProTech.

When I ran into a problem that did not seem to get resolved as it should have, they were very responsive to the point that the owner of the company came out and personally addressed the issue. So far, so good.

They skipped the month they were supposed to come but they are going to make up.

They seem to be very thorough and keep the termites away. They come monthly to check the termite bait traps, and yearly to check inside the house for termites. I think they give an excellent service.

They are very good. They are in the middle with the price. They aren't the highest, but they aren't the lowest. I think they are top notch. I will definitely use them again in the future.

They're great. My overall experience with them has been excellent. Their prices are appropriate. The quality of their work is great. Their responsiveness is dead on. They answer the phone right when my husband calls, and if they don't they call right back. They send out postcards and let us know when they're coming out. They leave the bill on the door, and leave a thorough checklist. They've always been professional.
