+ -1 moreServPro does not do rebuilding / reconstruction work. They act as a middle man and hire a subcontractor to perform the work. I had to do major rebuilding due to serious water leak that happened. I had opened a claim with my home owners insurance. ServPro did not send all the claims to insurance for reason best known to them. They repeatedly billed me for 2 separate amounts and gave me a very hard time. I called my insurance several times and got the answer that all payments have been made for the claim. I went to their office and requested if the bill was for work that was actually performed and if so why they did not claim with my insurance. I received letters and emails threatening me with legal action and collection proceedings. Very unethical and predatory businesses. Lesson learnt & bottom line: If you're in the unfortunate situation of water damage DO NOT hire ServPro for ANY rebuilding / reconstruction work. Limit their services to water mitigation & drying ONLY AND NOTHING ELSE !!

If I could give them negative stars, I would. Servpro was sent out to my house by my insurance company to do water mitigation after a flood. They have been a disaster. It has been months with lack of communication or inaccurate communication which has made for more headaches and delays, plus now my insurance company is giving me a hard time because of the inconsistencies. To make matters worse, they did serious damage to my home while trying to "mitigate" the water. When I raised this issue with them they said it wasn't their fault. I am told that "I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED THERE WOULD BE ADDITIONAL DAMAGE FROM THEIR WORK". Seriously, that is a direct quote. I am now stuck with even more costs to repair my home. If you ever see that big green truck pull up to your house, close the door can call someone else.

Description of Work: Pipes in laundry room backed up and water seeped through the wall to the family room as well. All laminate hardwood floors were affected in laundry & family doom as well as the drywall. Set pro took the flooring up, disinfected and dried up all affected areas. Very professional. Very responsive.

They did exactly what I needed.
Description of Work: Asked ServPro to come out to investigate water damage 2 weeks after a leak from condo unit above. I had pulled up carpetand opened the ceiling to dry out and to check for water damage. Their investigation found that the floor and ceiling areas were dry. In talking with their rep I was satisfied that it was OK to go ahead with repairs without worry about mold if closed up. The peace of mind was worth it

Very well. They were quite nice; and followed up extremely well and nicely. Never did use them; but I would.
Description of Work: Needed some emergency help during a hard freeze that burst one of my pipes. Though they couldn't get to me for a week, during which I did the necessary myself, they checked back on me twice and had reserved a spot for me in case.

Never got back to me regarding the repair that need to be done or the result of the communication with my home warranty company. I tried to call and left several messages with CSR, nobody got back to me. I waited few weeks then found different contractor.

We decided not to hire Servpro and recommend others look into small businesses where they care about the quality of their work and responsiveness.
Description of Work: Were unsatisfied with the estimate and responsiveness. After mold problems were detected, it took them two days to even get a technician to come to our property. We later contacted a mold remediation business owned by a father and son. They responded in two hours and gave us a substantially lower estimate. Given the size and national branding of Servpro, they deserve a fail review for this alone.

Description of Work: Chris and his crew at Service Pro arrived to save the day. We had huge problems with water leaking into our basement. He came up with a plan to prevent water from entering our basement and it worked!! In the course of fixing that problem he pointed out that our car port was structurally unsound and was able to get an architect to work out some plans for a new structure. We are looking forward to using this company for that job as well. They are responsive, dilligent, and really knew how to solve our problem. I would definitely recommend them.

Superb responsiveness and work in drying the basement and removal. We should have stopped there and got our own contractor to do the repair work. Their painting was sloppy and poor, the carpet seams were placed incorrectly, and it took several months to resolve an over-charge.

After my sump pump failed, my insurance company hooked me up with Servpro. They came out that day and removed the ruined carpet from my basement. They then set up 15 huge fans and 3 dehumidifiers. These sat there doing their job for the next 4 days. The crew (led by Dion) were efficient, respectful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with! I don't know the final bill ... it wasn't free ... because they'll be billing my insurance company.
Description of Work: Servpro removed all the waterlogged carpet from my flooded basement and set up drying fans and dehumidifiers.

Description of Work: Mitigated our flood problem in an expeditious fashion. Employees who need to be especially singled out include: Laura and Archie. Laura performed office duties while Archie was on-site. Because we were on vacation a 1000 miles away and because this would be an insurance claim, it was important that Laura communicated clearly with us and our insurance company. Unfortunately, this is the second flood in our home where Archie has had to ameliorate the water damage so further damage was not done. Water had leaked from the upstairs bathroom faucet through the downstairs hallway light fixture. The standing water in the upstairs bathroom had reached out 1 1/2 foot into our hallway and also into the master bedroom. Archie moved to quickly install 8 air movers and 2 dehumidifiers up and downstairs. This timely action saved our wood floors from sanding and refinishing. Our home was being attended to by a lady who visited our home twice a day to take care of our kitties. She discovered the leak and had the key to the house. Archie had to work with her and her schedule in order to attend to his duties in our home in our absence. We were impressed with Archie's professionalism, technical knowledge and flexibility after our first flood. Even more so this time.

I contacted this company to handle the water damage to my basement. After arriving on time for the first visit, every subsequent follow-up visit was missed without a call to apologize or re-schedule. I had to call and schedule again, and the scheduling people just said that the work teams are supposed to call when they are late or are going to miss an appointment but never do. When it came time to install my new carpeting, I took a day off to be available to oversee the work. They missed three appointments for that. If you want a company that will repeatedly schedule appointments and miss them, never call in advance to notify you that they will not be coming, or just seem to think that their time is more important that yours, I can assure you that SERVPRO of North Arlington is for YOU. However, if you want a committed and reputable company, LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Mr. Raisa and his associate came out at the exact time scheduled, were professionally dressed and were very friendly and accommodating. They look pictures of all the damage, removed all the soaked insulation and mounted 6 fans to pickup and dry all the water. Prior to installing the fans and removal of the damaged insulation, they put drop clothes from the front door up the stairs, down the hall and into the bedroom. There were even clothes over the stair railings and the corners of the walls. They made certain there would be no further damage caused by them. They hooked up everything and left, promising to come back each day to check on the progress and make necessary adjustments. Since I have to be to work by 7:30am and did not want to miss anymore work due to this incident, the men came back at 6:15am each day (per my request and their agreement) to make the necessary changes. Just this one issue took a load off my mind and made me very grateful to this company. By the following Saturday everything was dry and they could remove all their equipment. They then deep cleaned the hall, bedroom carpets and the stairs. It looks great!!
Description of Work: I discovered that I had a severe leak in my roof that went through the roof, into the attic and then down in my son's bedroom and an interior hall. I notifed my insurance company and they gave me the name of this company. I had never dealt with them before, but will from now on. They came out and inspected my attic area, the ceiling, walls and carpeting where the leak was.
