They were very professional. Got the job done sooner than predicted. They offered their resources to us before hand to help spead up the process and save us money. Price was GREAT! They even stayed to help put the pool up. They are truly good people. I would definitely 100% recommend their services. Also, I will be calling them for any future services that they provide and I may need.

The stairs are built with 6" x 6" pressure wood and filled with concrete. I am satisfied with that Mike factored many considerations, such the width must support two persons, the depth is comfortable to climb. Excellent work.

Mike and Bruce spent 2 1/2 days (in very cold weather) completely cleaning up and clearing out my yard. Meticulous pruning of cherry and magnolia trees, thinning A LOT of old hydrangea bushes, careful thinning and trimming old boxwoods (using hand clippers), viburnum, azaleas, etc etc. When they were done, there wasn't a twig or leaf on the ground...excellent clean up! Mike has 40 years experience and it shows. I couldn't be more pleased and will definitely hire Mike again

Communication is excellent with Mike! We set the date for the work to be done and everything went smoothly! Our new garden beds look great and the backyard will now be planted with wildflowers later in the year. We highly recommend Mike and hope to work with him again in the future!

Very well - great job with clearing out old plant material and replacing with new - including the use of heavy equipment to remove existing trees, and not causing any damage to lawn or rock walls.

Mike is a machine... when I saw him trimming ALL of the hedges and bushes using pruning shears, I thought this is going to take forever and eat up a lot of time. Not true. He was just as fast (if not faster) than somebody using hedge trimmers! It also helped that he was able to keep the yard and driveway more clean since he was able to "control" the sheared pieces by in his hand and making neat piles. Mike said it would take a day and a half to do the work and the price was exactly what he quoted me; his estimates on time and price are very accurate!

Mike and his employee Bruce came to help me build a 3 tier terraced garden on a hillside along with 3 box gardens. Each row of the terrace is 4 feet wide and 36 feet long. The box gardens are 4'x8'. He also delivered his own soil/compost to fill all the beds. Mike is a great problem solver and hard worker. He did a fantastic job and I am so happy with the results. Uploaded is a picture after the planting was completed.

Michael planted a large number of bushes in a relatively short period of time. He was thorough, very careful with the plants, and prepared the plantings, most in tough, rocky soil. Generous use of mulch enhanced and protected the bushes; When I questioned a technique he was using, he stopped and took the time to explain why it was the best course of action, and how it would help the plants thrive. His work made my yard more beautiful and homey, for a very reasonable fee. Time was taken at the end to ensure a thorough cleanup. I give him my highest recommendation.

Mr. Pickwoad came by 2x and discussed the project thoroughly. The second time was when I wanted to make a small change to the plan, which he readily agreed to. Throughout he made good suggestions. He started the job on the day we agreed (which was important) and and was substantially finished on schedule. He was always a little early both before and during the actual work. He was mindful of my pets, securing the perimeter at night, and left the job site in good condition even in the midst of the project. He cleaned up thoroughly when it was done. As most contractors do he overestimated the amount of pavers I needed (and I didn't even order as many as he said!) but I guess that goes with the turf. Some of the pavers cracked so it was good to have spares, but even so there were quite a few left over. As I say, goes with the turf not really a complaint but you might press him on his materials estimate just a little bit. He will take it in good humor. Mr. Pickwoad is a pleasure to work with good humored, informative, generous with his time. His invoice included the cost of the crushed stone and sand, but not the pavers.

Mike has great unique ideas, is the hardest working ethical guy I know and always looks out for his customers and the earth at the same time. I can't wait for his new ideas for the spring planting season and new projects! I would highly recommend him!!

Very well. We are pleased. The project took many turns as the construction took longer than we had estimated. We had to keep postponing Mike's start date. Mike was very flexible and up to installing the additional drainage that we had not planned on. We recommend Mike for any landscaping project.

Mike was great. He did a great job on the work. We had challenges with scheduling on the account of the weather as well as his busy schedule so the project didn't get started for almost 2 months since first estimate. He is easy to work with and conscientious. He is meticulous about clean up and is detail oriented. I would definitely use him again for other work as well.

Michael treated our lawn and property with the utmost respect. He came by to take measurements and give his opinion when needed and sent a detailed estimate out promptly. When we agreed to the terms he was quick to get to work. I sprung a few extra things on him at the last minute and he took them on without blinking an eye. Very professional and polite. He's been doing this for a long time and his passion shows.

Mike was very easy to work with, polite, and direct. He spent way more time than he had to talking with both me and my husband about the various projects we're considering around our house. As first-time homeowners, we appreciated his candid assessment of these ideas and the suggestions he made for how we should proceed. He arrived promptly the morning we schedule our first project, and was finished by lunch. I am very happy with the quality of work and would recommend Mike without reservation to others seeking lawn care and landscaping services.

Mike did a fantastic job! We relied on his expertise and he exceeded our expectations! He knew exactly what we were trying to accomplish and he was able to do an amazing job within our budget. He guided us with regard to planning, gravel selection, and erosion control. The work is beautiful and we could not be happier. This is the second time Mike has helped us. Both times were "emergencies". He is an incredibly honest and nice person who is sensitive and responsive to people. He works hard to understand what you want and works harder to meet your goals. I am looking forward to completing more projects with Mike. My husband and I both highly recommend him and would not hesitate to refer him for any type of work.

Working with Mike has been a pleasure. He has communicated on a timely basis throughout the process and has performed what was contracted for. He has not hesitated to make suggestions as appropriate - to the benefit of the final project. I retained him to completely re-work the landscaping in a family cemetery, and he has done an excellent job to date. This is the 2nd time we've had Mike out to do work, and we are always happy with the job he does. The previous job he did for us was pruning and cleaning up our overgrown yard, removing a large tree stump, and fixing a fence. Mike is honest to a fault and does excellent work for a reasonable price. Completely trustworthy - and totally reliable. You can't go wrong with Mike!

Mike was great to work with--he's professional and friendly, and he did a wonderful job with our unruly fruit trees, one of which he pruned and another few that he removed completely, along with two large brush piles. The yard looks so much better, and we have several additional projects in mind that we intend to call on Mike to help with. We highly recommend his services.

I called Mike and explained that I needed some dirt moved and graded. I told him he really needed to see the job because it had some particular specifics involved. Mike came out to my farm to provide me with an estimate. After looking everything over and discussing the project at length, Mike was very honest in letting me know that his equipment was not suited to my requirements. We discussed options and Mike was helpful in referring me to someone that had the appropriate equipment. Mike was punctual and very generous with his time. He made a thorough assessment of the job, and although he felt he didn't have the appropriate equipment he was willing to consider who might be able to help me. After talking with Mike I'm certain he is more than qualified to undertake my job given the appropriate equipment; and, I would not hesitate to call him again in the future and utilize his services. He was even nice enough to help me with a stuck garage door while he was at my farm ! My feeling is that Mike is experienced, honest and fair.

Mike is a reliable, honest, hard worker. We had a couple off weather set backs, but Mike worked through some very hot and long days. So much so, I was worried about him a couple of times, but he is self sufficient and brings everything he'll need with him. He is a very pleasant, mannerly down to earth kind of guy. Enjoyed having him work for me and will certainly call him in the future as I think my retaining wall (dry stacked) is beginning to give way and railway ties beginning to rot.. I think there isn't anything he can't do.

Garden steps, retaining wall, and back gate to my garden were tumbling down as old railway ties rotted away. Mike rebuilt the steps and retaining wall and repaired the gate, and everything looks lovely. He replied promptly to my calls and texts was very friendly and helpful to deal with. I'm planning to get him back to work on another project next summer.
