Worth Moving

We hired Worth moving for an interstate move in August 2020. The day the movers arrived, they asked my husband to go get breakfast for them. WHAT?? We packed our own boxes, the movers were very rough with them, they actually pushed/ threw/ slid all of the 2nd floor boxes down the steps to another person to catch them. They threw carpets over the railing from the 2nd floor. Once everything was out in their truck, they asked us to initial each page of the inventory. Everything that we wanted moved, was out of the house, so we did. Because we couldn't move into our home for a week, the stuff would be stored in their warehouse in a certain section. Communication was horrible, we had tried to get an official total and it took several emails to get that straight. We were told they would arrive between 9:30 and 10:30 via email. There was no verbal communication. On the day of delivery, which was a Saturday, no one confirmed when they left Richmond. When they hadn't arrived by 10:30, we tried calling all the numbers we had and could not reach anyone because it was a Saturday. We had no way of knowing if they were still coming. After all this anxiety, they arrived at 11:30. Immediately, we were asked to sign the papers before anything was unloaded, so essentially, you are signing that you have received everything and that nothing was damaged. This is ridiculous! After all was unloaded and movers left, we noticed a ladder was missing. Over the next week, after examining and unpacking, there were dents and scratches on furniture, wine glasses were broken, 1 figurine was broken, 1 picture glass was cracked, and the SS trash can was dented. The boxes that were fragile were marked as such, but it's like they didn't read them. To file a claim, you had to go through a third party which we did, after the deductible, we didn't even get enough to cover the replacement ladder we had to purchase. I would not recommend this company for your move.
