Description of Work: They were supposed to relay four doors, two of which had electronic locks. One lock had to be replaced since it was apparently jammed and that cost another $30 for the lock and $10 to rekeying. One electronic lock could not be rekeyed for some reason and it did not work at all after the technician finished trying to rekeying it. It was working prior to that. I had to call Schlege locks to get a new one which they provided to me for free but I had to have national Lock and Key return to install it since my tools,wouldn't work on it. They nicely agreed to do this for free as well. They also lowered the price of the previous visit by $10, after I brought to their attention that the jammed lock rekeying was included in the original price and shouldn't have been charged to the new lock set as extra. All in all the work was finally done but it took more than a week. I assume that the two broken locks were beyond their control but since the electronic door couldn't be locked for that period it was disturbing that they didn't have a replacement on the truck that I could buy and be reimbursed for. The office personnel were very understanding and accommodating and did everything they could to make it right, however.

 + -1 moreNational & Lock and Key replaced the locks on our two doors in May of 2013. The service provided by National Lock & Key was EXTREMELY disappointing and I would NOT recommend them. The front door handle now sticks like crazy (which was not a problem before they installed the new locks). Even strong men have a difficult time opening our front door and, at risk of sounding dainty, I've broken multiple nails trying to press down hard enough to get the door to open. The side door isn't much better - they installed the lock the wrong direction, so it's counter-intuitive as to which way we need to turn they key to unlock the door. This sounds like a small thing, but after decades of turning a key one direction it's hard to break that habit (especially since the front door turns the correct way.) The only real positives I can add are that they showed up on time and weren't terribly expensive. Otherwise, a total disappointment and I'd strongly advise anyone reading to use a different company.
