We paid $40 for $100 rekeying service through Angie's List. We were happy with the professionalism of the staff and the work that was done. The only negative aspect was the feeling we had of being victims of a bait and switch when it came time to settle up. According to the technician, we were only paying for up to $100 in labor based on the $40 we had paid. We were charged $79 for the Angie's Service Call and $50 for 4 keys. With our $50 credit from the $40 we already paid, we had to pay an additional $79. Our $40 rekeying service actually cost us $119. This was our first time paying for service through Angie's List and it was not a positive one.

The tech was very professional, took care of things quickly, and we had no problems.

Chose this company based on reviews and current deal on AL, Amber phoned and we went over the details of what, how, and when the service would be provided. She helped estimate the BEST service for the money and scheduled us in promptly. Technician, phoned when his approximate arrival would be and was prompt and professional! Introduced himself and wore shoe booties to protect out floor even though he wasn't entering more than 3 feet into the foyer area! Listed out the service he would be doing and went over the cost with us again to make sure it was ALL accurate. Once signed and details of work was agreed upon, he began. He re-keyed the existing locks to the new deadbolt key, asked if I was satisfied with how it actuated the locks and I was definitely! He then prepped the door laying down a protective mat to catch the wood debris, mentioned it would be about an hour. Sure enough, right on schedule he was complete, brushed down the door of wood dust, vacuumed the concrete floor, and again asked to actuate the lock to our liking. PERFECTLY done! I asked a small favor, if he could grind down the other deadbolt hole that the builder didn't finish properly and he did so happily! He gave me a suggestion on adjusting the latch to better have a good tight lock. FANTASTIC company from beginning to end, professional, courteous, and friendly people. NO DOUBT RECOMMEND and would USE AGAIN!

This company was fantastic, they worked with me even before coming out on the pricing and went out of their way to explain some of the deals that they have through Angies list and best ways to use them for the services they needed. Then they came out and did everything like they said they would and even worked with us when one of the locks couldn't match up with the other 3 they didn't charge anything extra except for just us purchasing a new lock set. I would use them again as well as refer them to others.

Communications with the company went well. The services provided were done to my expectation. No complaints.

I replaced 2 doors including door handles and locks. I had all three new locks (4 lock cylinders) rekeyed to my old lock key. I bought a Big Deal for $40 plus paid the $79 fee for coming to the house. I sent them an email Friday night, they called Saturday morning and said they had an opening and it was all done by Saturday noon. Everything was smooth and fast.

My experience scheduling my appointment was great - fast and friendly. On the day of my appointment, the locksmith, David, called 15 minutes before arriving, and was right on time within the one-hour window provided when I scheduled my appointment. We have a big black dog, who was excited to have a visitor and after assuring him she was friendly, he let her run up to greet him and sniff him, which was nice of him. Of course, we shooed her off of him so she wouldn't be too annoying and so he could do his work without being bothered. He also wore shoe covers which was nice. After quickly re-keying the locks he gave us four keys, which was a nice surprise. We expected to receive two and would have had to make copies. The whole experience was great, and we saved $60 dollars with a deal purchased through Angie's List.

The locksmith called beforehand, arrived on time, and wrote out the costs before performing the work. The locks were changed and he was on his way in under an hour. Great service all around.

This company was phenomenal to work with. I ordered a service and the professional came on time, explained what they were doing, used foot covers and mats to keep the house clean and worked in a timely fashion doing an excellent job. One thing with our lock (nothing to do with the company or service) made my husband a bit concerned. I called and expressed this concern and the company quickly remedied it by coming back out within two days to ensure my husband's concerns were alleviated. They did this second visit free of charge to make sure we felt safe. I will be using this company for all our locksmith needs for years to come.

I was impressed from first to last. After talking to several locksmiths I felt I was getting the run around regards their respective pricing schemes, which ranged as high as $300 for the work we needed done. From my first contact with the receptionist at National Lock and Key I felt i was dealing with a professional business. She clearly explained their online pre-pay promotion which would result in a $100 cash deduction from the final total, which I opted for. They were able to schedule the appointment within three days; the installer called ahead and arrived exactly at the opening of the hour window I was given. He proceeded to don booties and was very communicative about what he would be doing. The entire job took about an hour and he didn't leave a single screw or other sign of his presence behind. Taking into account the promo discount, the work cost almost half as much as other quotes I was given. The installer explained that they are a small family owned firm and that even he has a vested interest in the business, which is why they put such a high premium on customer satisfaction. I was convinced! Will definitely use them again when the need is called for.

My call was answered by Ashley on a Friday afternoon. I live just outside their service area (didn't realized until I called). She checked to see if they service my home and called me back very quickly. They could perform the service on Monday. She provided clear and concise pricing. They were in line with many other locksmiths in my area. I purchased the deal through Angie's list - great value. Manual (the locksmith) called me about 40 minutes before arrival and was very punctual. He was very professional and super nice. An absolute dear. Went over the pricing so we were both on the same page. Took care of my rekeying. I also had a deadbolt that was a little sticky (due to the door frame) - he adjusted it at no charge. All my locks and deadbolts work fantastic after the service was performed - he definitely did perform above and beyond and my locks work better now than they did. Highly recommend National Lock and Key and will use them again!

Called first thing this morning and spoke to a very efficient and pleasant scheduler. They had someone available for this morning. Showed up on time and performed the work quickly and neatly. Their pricing is in line with other locksmiths in the area.

The locksmith arrived on time and immediately quoted us a fair price. He gave us a great explanation of what needed to be done, and more importantly, he didn't try to sell us on anything that we didn't need. We had made it clear that we wanted four locks rekeyed and a fifth was broken, so we weren't sure if it had to be replaced or rekeyed. He rekeyed the four locks and I watched as he tried to fix the fifth, but was unable. Then he gave us a fair price on a new lock. He was done quickly! More importantly, unlike many workers who come into our house, he war shoe guards so that he didn't mess up our floors! He also advised us how to fix a back yard lock on a shed without trying to sell us on anything. Just gave his advice! It was an honest and gratifying change! I was impressed!

The service provider came on time and was very professional. He put booties on to come in the house. He re-keyed two locks on our front door and changed the knob on our interior garage door. He was very knowledgeable and provided helpful information. I would definitely use them again. The office staff and person who scheduled my appointment was also very helpful. She spent a lot of time on the phone with me and answered all my questions. Overall, great company to work with.

The work done was of good quality and done professionally. On the cost front, deal of $40 for $100 worth of work is not as good as a deal as it sounds. This is because over and above $40, you pay additional $79 as visiting charges. When combining $40+$79 the total cost almost equals to the cost of work from a normal vendor without a deal.

All went well from the initial phone call to completion of the service. Amber asked all the right questions so she could give me a reliable estimate (questions two other locksmiths did not ask me when I called for a phone estimate). Manuel called 30 minutes before his arrival. He was very efficient, professional, and friendly. He clearly explained the quirks of some our old locks and our options. We were very pleased with National Lock & Key. A bonus was the available Angie's List coupon.

Communication and scheduling was excellent. Technician turned up at the scheduled time and wore protective shoe covers. Re-keyed locks and left me spare keys. Very quick and tidy!

The serviceman was on time and was flexible enough to install additional hardware for us (he had just come out to rekey locks). He kept his work area neat - wore shoe covers, vacuumed up any dust/dirt. We had some sticker shock with the price but he was upfront with the anticipated costs and was even able to avoid charging us for certain work (drilling a hole that turned out to be unnecessary). We were unsuccessful in our attempts to DIY so were glad to leave it to a professional.

Great job. Responded to all my questions. They know what they are doing. Very reliable and professional. I had to re key 4 locks of my house. They came in on time and offer me an affordable option. We just moved to a new apartment and had 4 different keys for only 2 doors, too many keys!!! The tech showed up on time, with company uniform, very helpful , explained to me in details what he was going to do. He made a brand new key that opens the 4 locks, now I ONLY NEEDD 1 KEY IN MY KEYCHAIN......NICE JOB AND GOOD PRICE IF YOU COMPARE TO OTHER COMPANIES THAT WANT ALMOST DOUBLE THE PRICE, THANKS...
