Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We love Roto-Rooter and have used them for MANY years. No matter which technician comes to the house we have always had exceptional service. We will definitely continue to use them again,and again, and again!

We had an appointment scheduled on Thursday between 2pm and 6pm. The technician didn't show up until 10pm. We had a main line blockage and we couldn't run any water in the house that used the drain so we had no option but to wait. After waiting nearly all afternoon and evening, the technician that arrived couldn't do anything for us because we don't have an outside cleanout and his machine isn't made to go inside the house. So we had to call someone else. Okay, things happen. I believe in second chances so I called them back on Friday to get an estimate on installing an outside cleanout. Had an appointment time between 9am and 1pm on Saturday. Technician didn't show up until about 5:30pm. I know heavy workloads and backups occur, but twice in the same week, with the same customer that they already know had a bad experience? Will I call them again? No. There are many other options available.

Mr. Reinaldo worked very hard in the poring storm with high winds for hours and it was cold. He came and stood on pouched twice when really poring flooding water and could not see . I asked him to come in. Mr. Reinaldo could said he come back the next door, but he continue to work in freezing rain and storm. I was very satisfied. He also told me I had the corect solid piping under the house. He was friendly and polite. The charge was $455.00 because I was on member of Angie's list he took $40.00 off the charge was $415.00. Mr. Reinaldo was very professional.

02 Feb: Called the company's main office on Sunday evening. My information was taken and a technician called me a short time after to set up an appointment. I wasn't expecting anyone to come to the house that evening because it was so late but Marcus arrived at about 9pm. We were experiencing a clogged drain. Marcus snaked the drain and unclogged it. The process took about 2 hours. What I really liked about the service was before Marcus even started, he stated that if he wasn't able to unclog the drain there would be no charge for the service. It was determined we had a broke pipe so I needed to make a follow up apointment to have the pipe replaced. 03 Feb: Thomas arrived at about 4pm to use a camera in order to determine where the pipe was broke. I set up another appointment to have the broken pipe replaced. It was too late to replace that evening because it was getting dark. 04 Feb: Thomas showed up at the scheduled time to replace the broken pipe. He completed the work in the allotted time frame. He was very professional and thorough. He did excellent work on the replacement.

This Roto Rooter plumber wanted $600.00 to fix two(2) dripping fixtures. I asked him how long it would take...he said 1 hour. When I turned him down...he lowered his price to $370.00 then $290.00. The plumber was not aware of my own past experience/skills on installing fixtures at previous residences. This Roto Rooter plumber claimed he had to "Re-construct" the kitchen faucet and "significant work" for swapping a cartridge for a shower. Each task would take only 10-15 minutes (tops) and was one of easiest plumbing repairs...and this guy wanted to make Mountain out of an Ant Hill. I will give positive credit for Roto Rooters' punctual arrival time and for quickly recognizing the problems. Very disappointed that this Roto Rooter plumber wanted me to over pay him a very minor job! $500 - $600 per hour for plumbing...and these were not complex! Really?

For the last few years, we have experienced issues with our drains, particularly if it has been raining or if we try to do laundry, run the dishwasher, take a shower and flush the toilet at the same time. On Christmas Eve, we woke up to completely clogged drains. We called Roto-Rooter and they sent their technician Zack out to our house. He arrived within two hours of our initial call and had a speedy diagnosis for us. After attempting to locate our water main and the blockage itself, he recommended that we call the city because the block appeared to be in their jurisdiction. He waited with us until the city workers arrived and assisted them in locating our water main. After the city cleared the blockage, he checked our line to make sure that there were not any further issues. He also requested that the city add a clean-out box for our house since our house isn't covered by any of the other clean-out boxes on the street. Zack was very friendly and professional, and definitely went above and beyond to help us resolve our drain issues. We would definitely call Roto-Rooter again.

We called on a Saturday, expecting to make an appointment for later next week, but to our surprise, the dispatcher told us they could do the work that day. The worker did not come at the promised time but we were kept informed by telephone about the delays at least twice and I was willing to wait as I wasn't going anywhere until later in the day. Once he arrived the work was done quickly. He also checked another plumbing concern but I decided not to do it that day. So far the rebuilt commode is working well and no longer leaks.

I was so pleased with how quickly this company could get someone to my house! It must have been within an hour of when I called just to set up a future appointment. The plumber was professional and did a lot of work to find a design problem that unfortunately he couldn't fix (requires a contractor and more). The price was good as far as plumbing house calls go, but I couldn't call it excellent--that would be a rare find in a plumber. But well good enough, especially when response time and punctuality are considered.

It went very well. Shaun (the Roto Rooter Tech) was very professional, punctual and to the point. We live 6 hours away and he continuously called and updated us on what the issue was, and what he was going to do. He gave us updates and a detailed explanation of the problem and why it occurred.

We have used Roto Rooter twice before, found there work to be extremely proficient and will use them again in the future when necessary.

It went very well first evening . Plumber was polite, efficient, & knowledgeable!

Showed up early, evaluated problem with main drain and went about fixing the problem. Gave suggestions of how to prevent problems in the future by using a product to prevent build up of grease, soaps, etc.

I called at about 8:30 in the evening after we had plugged up our kitchen drain. I thought I would get a good start on having someone out the next morning. The very responsive customer service rep on the phone, after taking all the details. asked if I would like for someone to drop by in the next two hours. Sure enough, after about an hour got a call that tech was on the way. He was very professional and explained what he was going to have to do and the cost. Very nice guy throughout the visit. Drain was unplugged and we were back to normal. Good experience.

i had guests coming for weekend when we discovered tub not draining nor toilet!!! help came in the form of a polite and prompt tech who took care of the problem and was on his way. Thanks

Late in the evening, our outside faucet broke off the pipe with the pipe still connected. We turned off our water supply & called our plumber with no success. We went to Angie's list and called Roto Rooter. We were satisfied with the service, and to relieve the pain of the cost some, the plumber applied a coupon on top of the discount for being an Angie's List member. He arrived the same night and went straight to work crawling from the back of our home all the way to the front. He did not come out until he verified he fixed the problem with no leaks. We have had no problem since and the repair looks great!

Called the company and spoke with operator who was nice and helped me make my appointment for the same day; about 30 min before my scheduled appointment I received a phone call to notify me that the technician was running behind and would be a little late. When the technician arrived, he helped us get back up and running quickly. He was very friendly and we will definitely be calling him again in the future.

Service was excellent, technician was very thorough and took time to answer all my questions.

No extra cost for weekend and night calls. Easy courteous appointment setters.They are professional and they are exactnin what they tell you they are going to do. I love them and will call them for all my plumbing needs.

I had spent the week recovering from my toilet blow up the previous weekend and having Roto Rooter come out. I decided I needed to clean out my fridge and go grocery shopping. As I was mashing pasta and chicken down the garbage disposal I noticed my feet were getting wet. The dishwasher was running at the time and I spied a steady drip...drip...drip...so I assumed the DW was leaking. Upon opening the doors under the sink I discovered all of the food I had been supposedly disposing of was now laying ground up under my cabinet. My kitchen pipes had not only come loose but literally FELL DOWN under the sink and water was oozing everywhere along with this disgusting display of food. Calling Roto Rooter AGAIN with my latest saga they sent a technician out faster than the previous weekend call. He was so kind. He could tell I was working with my last grain of sanity. So he quickly suited up, accepted the dry towel I handed him and dove in to the mess. He had the situation under control in no time. He flushed the pipes, dried and tightly secured them and brought in the trusty jug of swamp flush agent. He explained how strict the pipe is and how it leaves little room for any crowding. My home is an older home and the original pipes were not designed to accommodate garbage disposals. 30 years ago people just pretty much did not have them. Now the newer homes are fit with kitchen plumbing designed for all these new high capacity features. He suggested keeping the disposal use down to a dull roar if used at all and recommended using sludge buster every month in ALL the drains. He was professional, efficient and a real good sport having to wade through all the gunk he did. I will continue to call on Roto Rooter......just hopefully not real soon.

Had I personally never experienced this....I truly never would have believed it could happen. We had a large get together in our home on the 3rd. After the party was over we noticed one of the guest bathrooms had water in the floor. Upon further inspection it proved to be a toilet overflow. So being the DIY gal I am I got out the trusty plunger and went to work. Nothing was happening. I even turned the water off going to the tank. No excess appeared in the toilet. It was late so I put out a bevy of towels to soak up the water and went to bed. The next morning I scooped up the wet towels, threw them in the washer to clean and went back to survey the toilet situation. Nothing notable was surfacing ...UNTIL...the washer went into its drain and spin cycle. Water suddenly came gushing straight up out of the toilet. I grabbed every towel in the house as water began to run into the next room. Grabbing the phone I called Roto Rooter and told them my problem. They sent someone out immediately. The technician went right to work on my lines and snaked the pipe leading from the bathroom. Come to find out this guest bath was on the same line as my washer, and there, in that nice little 90 degree turn from the house to the street was a clog of lint material from the washer. He removed the backup and flushed everything to ensure its working order. He told me about the use of a second rinse cycle on my washer when I washed lint producing articles such as towels and blankets. He advised me to start using the second rinse cycle since this little scenario could pop up and repeat itself somewhere in the distant future. He was great, got the job done quickly and the price was reasonable. I would definitely call them again if necessary. Little did I know that "necessary" was going to strike its little ugly head the following weekend with a NEW event.

Arrived on time, completed the installation in one day. Had it inspected the next day and then filled in. The only problem was that they severed a verizon underground cable which they said was outside the lined area. There was no charge to us obviously since verizon was the ones who marked its location.
