The job was quality done but he didn't get the quantity done that we thought were getting. He did not finish the door and the small closet. The cost was based on the coupon that they had. I would probably not use them in the future. I was disappointed. In the end, we still had to spend hours just finishing the job. They didn't offer to extend but he did offer to come back. My disappointment was the fact that we thought we're going to get seven professional painter hours but he can't finish a small bathroom in seven hours.

I purchased 7 hours of painters time for $223. Two painters were sent to do the job for 3.5 hours. Results: 1. One painter worked steadily and finished one wall in the 3.5 hours 2. The second painter was on the phone speaking in arabic to someone else and painting with a small brush on the other hand. He finally finished 3 small walls in the 3.5 hours. 3. I also understood from the purchase thru Angie's List that all materials except paint were covered. The painters said they needed a second roller which I had to buy and provide them. 4. The quality of the job was mediocre at best. I would not recommend this bargain service to anyone.

However, when he was here the first time, he was not paying attention when he was trying to take the ladder up the stairs, and he broke my mother's demitasse cups. The owner was majorly apologetic and offered a refund as well as any other painting I needed done. He sent two men on another date. They painted a bedroom, and they did a wonderful job. Once I choose the paint from Sherwin Williams, they purchased it and brought what was needed to complete the job. Even though I am upset with the breakage, I feel that the owner has done his best to make me happy. However, I have yet to receive a refund, but I'm sure the owner will do what he promised. If not, I will, of course, contact Angie.

I had contacted 2 other painters who came out, gave reasonable quotes, and never returned to do the work (and were never to be heard from again actually). We took a chance on Hetrick after reading the great reviews on Angie's list and were absolutely thrilled. Not only did they return messages within a day, they actually showed up to give a quote, talk us through our options (no hard sell, it was a relaxed and honest conversation) and then showed up early to do the work. The crew was quick, friendly and very professional. I simply adored the crew and they did such a fantastic job. Could not be more impressed with this company and highly, highly recommend. We will definitely use them for all future painting needs.

The team did a great job. They were timely. They repaired several holes in the walls and ceiling in addition to the painting. I'd definitely hire them again.

It was a very good experience working with Hetrick painters. Mr. Hetrick always promptly returned phone calls and when he couldn't get ahold of us secondary to an erroneous number in Angie's list he actually drove out to our house to make sure that he could communicate his plans for our painting job! The painter who came was very efficient and courteous and did a great job. After the work was complete Mr. Hetrick called to insure the service had been completed to our satisfaction. We would absolutely recommend their painting services and are very pleased with the work that was performed at our residence.

We have used Hetrick Painting twice in the past 3 months and both were a great experience. They were prompt, courteous and flexible. Their finished product was excellent as well with no issues.

The worker was late arriving, but the owner called to let me know and apologized. The job took longer than the original deal that I purchased, but the owner honored the "special" per/hour rate, and "extended the deal" for the additional time...I thought that was great customer service, made an excellent first impression! Will definitely consider hiring them again!

After a couple of weeks trying to get a date w/ the owner Rob... The painter showed up around a little after 9am- He was really annoyed that he couldn't just start painting- He said nobody told him he would have to sand/prime even though I told the owner it needed prep work- So he had to go get paint & primer (even though the owner said they'd bring it) Actual job started after 11- Then another guy showed up to help- Two guys in a 6x6 1950's type bathroom- Whole thing was done at 2pm- Then I was presented w/ a bill? Really! rollers and blue tape 2 GALLONS of primer and white paint! Maybe a 1/16 was used- I took off the blue tape since they didn't use it, but paid for the others- So for over $300. in 31/2 HOURS they got the job done- Hardly 7 hours for the "deal" Also, the owner said they would do the trim, but the painters said it was not included- What the owner said over the phone & what I got were 2 very different things- The guys did the absolute minimum- So disappointed- ******The workers also broke the porcelain tiled soap dish attached to the wall. They did not tell me I found it the next morning along with my garden hose that they left running-***********

Excellent experience! Rob was easy to work with from the outset. He returned my call promptly, worked with me to find a date that worked for both of us, called the morning of to be sure we were still expecting his crew. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, finished the job as requested and he followed up with a phone call to be sure I was satisfied. Will definitely use Hetrick again.

These were two projects that I had been putting off and the deal was what I needed to move forward. Two painters arrived on time. They carefully covered my furniture and used heavy drop cloths to protect my flooring When they left everything was back in place. The paint looks terrific. Very pleased

Unfortunately, we were unable to take advantage of their big deal due to scheduling issues, but Rob was very accommodating in trying to satisfy us with a solution at a later date or refund.

They were great. Very accommodating and professional. Price was great too. Really good about promptly getting what I needed done beyond my Deal price.

There was a large time lag in responding and setting up the actual date for the job. However, the painters picked up the paint and completed the job in a timely manner. They were courteous and professional in the work and the job was well done.

Painter arrived promptly on Monday morning , with the supplies he needed.I had the deal price for 7 hours of labor. It took 12 hours to complete.He then cleared away all his prep supplies, leaving the room as he found it.He was very nice,did excellent work, and I would recommend him.Thank You

I use Big Deals as an opportunity to try providers for smaller jobs to test out the fit before retaining the provider for a bigger project. In this case, the job was relatively small - paint a couple of ceilings. Scheduling took a while because of the volume of recent sales but I wasn't in a rush so waiting a couple of months was ok. Workers arrived about a half hour late but got right to work. However, I get concerned when painters don't use drop cloths - no matter how good you are, accidents happen - especially when painting ceilings. And I also get concerned when painters paint while on the phone. I expect any painter will look over the surface and determine if any small repair is necessary before patching but in this case, they didn't bother and had to go back at the end to clean up a couple of areas that should have been lightly patched before the painting started. At the end of the day, I think I got a couple of guys who could throw on some paint, not painters. For this job that was ok but I'm not sure I'd be content with this result on a more significant project.

He was punctual and very professional. Since I had had knee surgery 3 weeks earlier, he agreed to pick up the paint for me so I wouldn't have to get a ride to the store.

I cannot respond to the quality of Hetrick work, but they seem to be a very good company, and they have many very satisfied customers who praise their work. That's all I know about them.

The service provided was great. They're very personable, did a very good work, prompt and I have no complaints. I spoke to the owner several times and he was very friendly.

There was some confusion over scheduling of the Angie's List Big Deal, but once we talked to the owner, he made the extra effort to get our job done when we wanted it. The Deal was for one room, but they readily agreed to our request to paint a second room too for a reasonable added charge. The work was neat and professional.

Bought the coupon for $199 for a painter for a day. I got the equivalent of two painters for half a day. Needed a large bedroom painted. I got the equivalent of two painters for half a day. Painters came on time, brought the paint, introduced themselves and got right to work. Moved some furniture, spread drop cloths, puttied and sanded nail holes, rolled on paint and were quick and efficient! Excellent clean up. As they were finishing I added in a couple of nicks in the walls in other rooms and they painted those too! I was impressed so expanded the job to paint a large pergola on the deck. ALL handpainting, no rollers, another team came out. Between drying times and rain, it took at least three trips. Another paint match was needed, lots of caulking. ANOTHER great job. Team was again quick and efficient! Both teams were very personable. Price was excellent.

When we needed more painting done they scheduled more time as to suit us.

It was fine. They were very professional, neat, on time and did a good job. I had them do a lot of painting and so it went beyond the big deal amount.

I was pleased with the service. They rid a really good job prepping the wall and they were really professional. They did a very good cleanup as well. The owner was very responsive. I had questions about one area and wanted some touch-up done. he had his crew return and check up that area with no problem at all.

A truly outstanding crew who did the work, and Rob himself is professional and super easy to work with. After painting the first coat, and in one room the second coat as well, there remained a very noticeable difference in color where the brush cut in at the top of the wall verses where the roller painted. This is something Rob said happens once in a blue moon and it isn't clear what causes it. When it happens, nothing consistent will fix it, so they had to try numerous options, including changing techniques, painting a third coat, even taping the ceiling. These guys worked through dinner to get it fixed and then came out the next morning to complete. They were real troopers, and the final result looks terrific! As a side note, Rob is the 4th painter I worked with, and is the only one I can recommend. Three of the four were A-rated Angie's List painters. The first painter didn't tape or put down drop clothes and then told us if we wanted him to clean all the paint off our hardwoods or undo all the over-paint on the baseboards, that it would cost us more money. The second never returned an estimate, and the third canceled on me 45 minutes before he was scheduled to be here (after I moved all the furniture) because he was running behind at another job for the second time. Perhaps Rob is lucky that this is his competition, but he and his crew really do stand on their own as excellent professionals.
