Description of Work: Robert arrived promptly and set to work. I couldn't BELIEVE how much he got done in such a short time (3 hours), and since I didn't have some plumbing repair stuff, he even went to Home Depot and got the stuff, brought me the receipt, etc. ALL within the 3 hour window. He replaced my ice maker, fixed the loose refrigerator door seal, replaced my water filter, fixed a leak under my sink (that TWO plumbers missed!), fixed the faucet in my powder room, advised me on the parts for my air vent and a part on my microwave, hung curtains in my sunroom, hung a valance in my bay window....jeepers....I think that was it! I will definitely call again!

Description of Work: This was a deal on re-grout and re-caulking a shower. Overall, it was a good experience and the company was easy to work with. We were a little disappointed in the end result, but I don't know if it was our style shower, the fact that our newborn was napping and the technician had to be quiet, or some other reason...so I don't feel comfortable giving a negative review due to the extenuating circumstances. I would likely consider Commonwealth Renovations for other projects, but I would not pay to have this work done again.

Description of Work: Remodel two upstairs bathrooms. J.B. (owner) is very responsive and carefully listens to the wishes of his customer. He suggests rather than attempting to persuade. He visited the jobsite several times a week and personally took our calls and responded to our issues and questions. Some delays were encountered because of weather (snow) and supplier delivery problems with materials. His tradesmen are skilled, professional and friendly. We are pleased.

Description of Work: I regret to inform that this company did not honor their obligation. The gentleman came into my home, took measurements in the bathroom, went through with me the ideas I had and how I wanted the space to work. He indicated he would have another person he had worked with (cabinetry) to call me and set up a time to give an estimate to go along with the work I wanted done in the bathroom. I never received a call. I never received the design plan that I had paid for. This was the second Angies deal I had gotten for this company (purchased close together) and was already worried after the first job did not go as I had expected. I waited to review the first job in hopes they would make it right. The worker on the first job installed a vanity incorrectly (drawer upside down). The supervisor was to have him come back out or at least call to see about fixing it. Never called. Never fixed it. Who does this? Who treats people this way? I have the worst taste in my mouth after these experiences of having someone come into my home and perform shoddy and then no work. This is a profession. A craft that people hone because others are in need of this type of work. Where is the honor in a job well done and respect for customers? I have been sitting with this irritant for quite some time, trying to figure out the least offensive way to get my point across. Huge disappointment and I have not wanted to purchase anything else since.

Description of Work: Removed and replaced molding in utility room that had been damaged by a new puppy. Arrived promptly and worked diligently and professionly until complete. Cleaned up thoroughly and departed.

Description of Work: Replaced fluorescent tubes in ceiling fixture too high for me to reach, since I am a senior citizen and handicapped. Vwey pleased.

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal to touch up some grout work in my bathroom, but when the provider arrived and checked it, within about 20 minutes it was discovered that there was rot behind the walls, so the work stopped there. The remediation and reconstructions was accomplished outside of the Big Deal.

Description of Work: He was supposed to make a sketch of new bathroom plans for our remodel. Once he found out that we were doing the work ourselves and not paying their contractors he seemed disinterested.

Description of Work: They installed a large stamped concrete patio in our back yard They did an excellent job thinking through the drainage issues in our yard and being creative to assure that the patio was improving the problem (rather than making it worse). Their responsiveness was the key factor in choosing them over others who submitted quotes on the job. And finally - the finished product is beautiful!

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal from this company for: $111 for Three Hours of Handyman or General Contractor Service. The service has been scheduled for April 11th, 2014. They have responded quickly and even came out to see the project in a timely manner.

Description of Work: My project started out very well but I had to hire another contractor to complete and fix most of the work commonwealth renovations did. It was quite an experience. I am just thankful that we could come to an agreement and we all can move forward now.

Description of Work: Caulked tub in our condo. However, caulk is already shrinking and gapping in two spots, and even after we called, we were not given a recommendation for the proper sealant to buy and apply.

Description of Work: To be quite honest, I have purchased a number of coupon via Angies List and I don't specifically recall what this contractor did. I will say any of the tradespersons I have used on angies list have been fanstastic. They were all courtious, proficient, left the job site picked up and overall did a good job
