Office staff were very responsive and tried to make a bad situation better but too little too late. Moving team of 4 showed up with no tools, took nearly 3 hours after to load 32 items. Left items sitting in the rain outside the truck while 2 people stood there waiting for other items, transported my couch with no cover in the rain, broke my sleep number bed in all four corners, ripped a circuit completely out of a button, and broke one panel in half. This happened because they tried to avoid getting tools by moving whole unit without taking it apart. Then when I complained to manager on duty I had to spend the next 3 hours listening to 1 of the 4 movers run his mouth about me even with me standing there. Most disrespectful and incompetent movers I have ever dealt with. Spent over $1000 and in return I got my $6,000 dollar bed now held together with duck tape and not able to function properly.

The crew, Kirahn, Stephon and Shawn, were punctual, pleasant and very professional.

Tyvante Simms-Clayton and his crew were great. He was very personable and went above and beyond to make sure my unload went smoothly and fell within the 2 hour window to keep my cost down.

Malik and his team did an amazing job moving me and my fiancé from Richmond to the country 90 minutes away. They were fast and careful and efficient. This is the second time in three years I have used ALL MY SONS to move and they are amazing!

They broke everything breakable and took 8 hours because they didnt know how to take apart my Queen platform bed. I called to complain but it was more of a headache and very little support.

Robert Pugh and his crew were quick, careful and efficient. They asked us for our preferences and carried out our wishes professionally. I would like to mention the names of his two crew members but unfortunately donâ  t remember them. If I am able to find out, I will include them in this review. Thank you Robert and crew!

Excellent work from start to finish

The team smoothly moved our furniture & unpacked our possessions. Not only did Malik McCrae coordinate the entire process but easily reassembled our complicated bed frame! The team was careful, efficient & professional. Everyone great!

They were professional, courteous, and very hard working. They took ownership of their work and each team member should be proud. The team leader, Daquon, was involved with every step. Actually, he had to change some loading methods as it wasnâ  t as space conscious as he needed it to be on the truck. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone that is planning a move!

From the initial set up with customer service to the final move day, every step was made as painless as possible. Dannie and his team handled everything with care and even came in well under the quoted estimate. Not only would I hire them again, but I would pay more if necessary.

Shemar Fox and Mason were amazing movers! The job was bigger than expected and they accommodated, no problem. They were extremely courteous, communicated well regrading their service and times expected, and they moved everything without a scratch. Grateful for their service!

I had a team of polite, hard working guys! Aiko did a great job leading the group. Aiko and Chase somehow seemed to never get tired, they just kept going! Hardy did a good job organizing the truck and Monty even ran back to the truck to get more while unloading. It was a bigger job than I even expected but they kept going and pushed through! I only had furniture (no boxes or clothing) for them to move-and not much of that, really. Even they said it would be a piece of cake. We got off to a late start-like 90 mins late. They did a good job on the front end-dealing with a SLOW elevator did not seem to bother them. They worked quickly and efficiently. The unloading was not so good. They were much slower bringing stuff into new place and there was a lot of standing around. It took way longer than it should have. Unfortunately, they left several items in the old place so I had to go back and move them myself. The driver and his crew were very nice and the customer service from the office was great.

I was impressed with the professionalism from my initial phone call to get a quote. The 3 amigos, Travis, Maurice and Kamari(the movers) left me beyond satisfied with how quickly and safely they moved me! They were on time and wasted NO time in getting the job done with excellence.

I contracted for 4 movers to expedite my 2-stop move. Instead I received 4 unprofessional inexperienced unorganized laborers. They had no tools to disassemble furniture. Nor did they wear back braces to help balance the load of heavy lifting. 1st stop: the 10x30 storage room that was 75% full. 9:00 am: Minimal furniture to move - 4 arm chairs, 1 dresser, 1 buffet, 2 coffee tables, 1 nightstand and 2 standing mirrors - all perfectly wrapped after being in storage for over a year ) and lots of boxes. Loading the truck took 1 hour. It took 15 minutes to tie the truck down and another 10 for the lead to call the manager - Gary?. It was determined that the truck may not be large enough to hold the items in the apartment. So the team takes a lunch break at 10:45. At 11:35 the team begins to partially unload the truck at my new home. After waiting 20 minutes to depart after 1 crew memberâ s bathroom breakâ ¦. Around 12:20 they arrive at my apartment to load the items there. Note: My contract confirmed a 3rd floor apartment with stairs. The day â goes southâ from there. The team lead calls the manager (I think his name was Gary) who spoke with me and basically blamed me for underestimating the items to be moved. His rudeness focused on my understanding that I would pay for the extra time. As a Contracts Manager - I fully understand time and materials. Items to be moved were a Queen bed and small round dining table to disassemble ( with tools I found). These 2 items, 1 dresser, 3 nightstands, 4 dining chairs and a tv console/electric fireplace had to be wrapped. And there were 20 boxes. It took 30 minutes for ALL 4 movers to take a dresser downstairs. They disregarded my recommendation to remove the drawers to lighten the load as Havertyâ s 2-man crew had down when delivered. The saga continues. I voiced my concern that with 4 movers - I expected them to be more productive as it seemed that never were all 4 working at once . Their responses included: â She said what!â ; â I donâ t even want to be here!; and â Iâ m tired of these stairs!â After the dresser - my other belongings were moved outside my apartment door to the 3rd floor landing. 1 mover would take my things down to the 2nd floor landing - then stop and sit down on the stairwell. A 2nd mover would then move them to the 1st floor. Stop and sit. The 3rd & 4th mover would then move items to the truck and load. It took at least 3 hours to move everything from the apartment to the truck. It is now around 3:30. On to the final destination - my new home that is less than 10 minutes from the apartment. Per policy - I must pay the bill before the truck is unloaded. So I speak with the manager again. I am beyond unhappy and say to him once again - â I just canâ t find the wordsâ which is the opposite of the tirade in my mind. My final bill is nearly $1000 more than the originally quoted!! There are no offers for adjustment due to company errors. Around 6:30 the crew is finally preparing to leave. This move - the entire day was horrendous. In comparison- my move from central MD to Chesterfield County was a cake walk. My last comment to the movers - CHANGE YOUR LINE OF WORK!!!! Throughout the day - there were moments when I wanted to just cry, and then scream. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. My move proved AMSâ lack of trained movers and lack of quality service/control. One example- my heirloom bed was damaged in 4 places which may not have occurred if the movers had prepped (covered/padded (the entrance ways as their website advertises. And my former apartment neighbor followed up with me later to comment on all the noise that the movers made (loud,rowdy conversations), the empty Gatorade bottles left in the stairwell, and her similar negative experience with All My Sons. Again - take your business elsewhere.

Be prepared and boxes packed to get best use out of time

This company are not movers they are Con-Artist hiding behind the law. I hired this company only becausemy first choice could not move me. I was given a quote of $1400.00 to move a semi two bedroom apt. 3 blocks for a total of 6 hours. Well, the three guys they sent had a totally different time frame THEY PLANNED TO TAKE AS MUCH TIME AS THEY COULD AND THEY DID. At least two of them disappeared often and one of them was always talking on his cell phone. They would move one item at a time regardless that they had 4 hand trucks available to them. Also they would take an item out of the apt. and place it in the hallway, next they picked up the item and moved it down the hall to the elevator, picked the item up again to place it on the elevator. This was the practice they did the entire time. They did not finish the move with only a quarter of the truck full [they claimed the truck was full. Before they would unload the truck I had to pay them $2220.00 and after they burned up they time they claimed it would take to unload they when over that time and demanded and additional $600.00. However, the crew leader asked me if I had any CASH on hand he then told me if I gave him $200.00 in cash he would tell his boss that I could not pay for the additional time they went over. They held back my Headboard and my Dinning Room Table top until I paid them. Early the next morning my Bank call me informing me that the credit card I used to pay them the $2200.00 was used for a Door-Dash purchase. I reported this to the Springfield Va Office and have not heard from them since. Also Look out for the 18% fuel charge they place on your bill even for driving 36 miles round trip from there office to my 2 apts.

Found ways to fit my needs

First, the movers (Dannie and Henry) did 5-star work. They were professional in every way efficient and careful with our belongings, patient, and accommodating of special requests (ordering items in our storage unit so that several larger things were in front for easy access). However, you should know that the absolute minimum cost (for moving help that did not leave a single location just truck to the storage unit required no packing supplies, and took less than 2 hours) was $644. According to Glassdoor, movers get paid $20 on average per hour, so Dannie and Henry likely received only 20% of what we paid for their time and effort. Extra charges (including a 20% increase on the total cost as a fuel fee) were not communicated until the movers had already arrived. Long and short is: great, professional workers, but the company has predatory pricing.
