They were fabulous - and I am not easy to please. First, he came the day after I called to do the estimate - and was there 2 minutes early, before I arrived. He was able to start in one week (though I needed to wait for another week) and completed the work quickly, really well and was incredibly neat - everything covered, vacuumed and put back each day. They did all prep and much of the work on day one and then came back to finish when they had paint matched (perfectly) and the tile had arrived. The fan was a tough thing - big fan/tall ceiling - and then after it was done we realized they had to move two recessed lights. That was done on the second day when the wall and ceiling were repainted and the extra charge for doing it was extremely fair. Also, they fixed a towel rack for us as well that we had not mentioned up front.

Came right on time at 9am on a Sunday. I could not meet him during the week so I appreciated his flexibility to come on a Sunday. The project took about 4 hours and Benigno and Juan were both very professional. I will use them again on other painting and drywall projects.

I am a jaded home owner when it comes to hiring contractors but my experience with Benigno and Loayes Painting was wonderful. Benigno promptly showed up for the estimate and quickly replied with a price by email. He originally scoped the job to be three to four days but it was accomplished by a team of two men in two days. The guys showed up promptly at 8:00 AM each morning and carefully covered floors, cabinets, and furniture with tarps. Prior to the start of the job, I has several email exchanges with Benigno to clarify details and he responded to each email promptly. The project went smoothly and the only surprise was the work finish much faster than anticipated!

The work proceeded fairly well and Edwin Loayes was very attentive during the early phases of the project. The quality of the repair work and painting was generally OK, though the workmen left a lot of dust and debris at the work site. They also broke a large 18th century mirror when they moved it off the wall. Two electric fixtures stopped working during the work and required an electrician to repair. Edwin said this was not their fault because the wiring was old. The replaced ceilings still have visible seams, which Edwin says cannot be repaired "because the underlying beams are uneven." Overall, a lot of excuses and a mediocre result.

After struggling with a contractor for 3 months, during which the upstairs bathroom was repainted twice due to blistering, we called Loayes Painting for a bid on getting the work done once and for all. Benigno showed up for the proposal at the agreed-upon time, and provided an estimate which was far below what we had already paid for the previous poorly performed work. Once the agreement was signed, we scheduled the date and time to start and everything went far smoother than we had hoped. Benigno and his cousin showed up on time, were professional and detailed in their work, cleaned up completely at the end of each day, and finished on the day they had estimated for completion. It has been 6 months since the completion of the work, and not a single pinhole or blister has shown up on the ceiling or walls of the problem bathroom. Overall the experience was quite positive, and I wouldn't hesitate to use Loayes Painting in the future.

This was a very good experience. We had to haggle a little bit about the price. The original estimate was reasonable but price for the additional work we added was not as reasonable. We were however able to work it out satisfactorily. We are very happy with the work he's done.

The person who was to give us the estimate called after he was 30 minutes late to say he would arrive in 15 minutes. Then he got lost. He did not speak enough English to follow directions. (It is very simple to get to our house.) We decided that we did not want to trust the language barrier for our built in project and did not use this company's services.

Benigno was a no show and didn't call until 1/2 hour after we were supposed to meet. We had 6pm appointment (confirmed on the phone and via email). I called him earlier in the day to see if we could move the appointment and since I didn't hear back from him I went to the house to wait for him. He finally called me at 6:30pm and told me he hadn't called earlier because he had left his cell phone in the car. He wanted to set up another appointment for later in the week but I wasn't interested.

Overall went very well. They where exactly on time and very efficient. They finished both rooms in less than 7 hours. They moved all the furniture in the living room and dining room for us (which was very nice). They did a very good job covering everything with plastic and even sealed off the entrances to the other rooms. The painted walls looked great. The only problem, which I saw after they left, was a saucer size paint spill they did not clean up. It was under the couch that they moved back in place for us. I could have them back and I'm sure they would take care of it... Also, we felt safe enough to give them our key and leave them at the house all day.

LP was VERY professional. They were very responsive to my painting needs, were very quick, but extremely thorough. They were beyond neat. When I saw the finished product, it was so flawless, and so beyond what I had hoped for that I was nearly brought to tears (it's my first home, so I'm allowed :-D). The cost was extremely reasonable considering the quality of the work. I would totally work with them again.

The same day I phoned, Mr. Loayes came to review the basement. Within a week I had an estimate and referrals; however, it took a month for him to fit me in his busy schedule; but he phoned and gave me the start/end dates. Daily he and his crew of 2 arrived promptly; sometimes working 8 to 10 hour days and one Saturday. During the 3rd week of work I asked and Mr. Loayes willingly installed ceramic tiling on the laundry room floor and extra tiles were installed at the patio door. After tiling the floor he replaced the hot/cold water extensions. Also during this week he cut an opening, framed, and installed a door under the stairs for extra storage. I am the benefit of their expertise because it showed Mr. Loayes and his crew takes pride in their work--they were respectful, professional, and cleaned the site. The price included materials and labor--Mr. Loayes bought all materials except the doors, tiles, and door accessories. I would hire him again and definitely recommend him.

Benigno and his worker did a great job. They showed up on time every morning at 8am. They cleaned up each night (even though the demolition left massive amounts of dust in the house). I wanted the new tiles height to match up to our living room wood floor and he delivered on that. The wood sub-floor in the kitchen was especially un-even, but Benigno's tile man worked to keep the floor nice and level. I was very happy with the overall work.

Although Mr. Loayes doesn't always respond to his email messages (he prefers being contacted by email), his work is excellent. He did all the necessary prep work, brought the exact paint that I requested and cleaned up. His price included a 10% discount for Angie's List members (you have to ask for the discount). He is flexible about scheduling the work. I will have him paint the living room in the next couple of months.

Benigno was very responsive - returned my call the same day. Came out to the house and provided an estimate with a few days. We kept adding things to the list so he would provide additional estimates for everything we added. He did an impeccable job. We bought most of the supplies - door, light fixture, bath fan, and had some paint already on premises. He used that paint we had available and purchased some additional for ceiling and bathroom. At no expense to us, he also installed new toe molding in the bedroom. He was also able to get someone to clean the house from top to bottom to be ready to sell. We were very pleased with his work. Benigno met his estimated time frame.

Benigno did a great job. He came and gave an initial estimate within a couple of days after we called him - then we changed what we wanted to do and he updated the estimate accordingly. He cut out some of our old kitchen cabinets to fit the dishwasher. Then he did all the electrical and plumbing work as well as the carpentry required and painted all new wood to match the kitchen. We are very happy with the installation it allowed us to make an old kitchen livable for some years until we can remodel it.

The project went smoothly. We were happy with the outcome. Showed up with two helpers. Only glitch was a couple of lost screws and one missing electric plate which will be replaced. Arrived on time, cleaned up, professional, would use again.(though drywall repair is only about 24hrs. old.)

They were prompt on giving the estimate and very professional. They quoted a good price and he seemed to understand everything I wanted to have done. I choose to go with a friend for the project as it was a bit cheaper and a personal obligation.

Benigno and his team were professional and punctual from the first time we met during out estimate until the last room was complete. Cost came in on estimate and while the job took a few days longer than expected this was due primarily to the need to thoroughly repair plaster walls and to prime all rooms for drastic paint color. The team's dedication to work was evident in the significant time they spent preparing the walls and molding for painting instead of just throwing on another coat of paint just to finish the job. The crew also showed flexibility by working around floor refinishers who were performing work in the same rooms. Really beautiful job and would definitely recommend and use again.

Excellent. Beningo was punctual, gave a clear written estimate, was reasonable and accurate about expectation, but the best thing was the work. Very skilled craftsman and it looks beautiful. I am hiring him for my next project.

Benigno and his crew did everything on schedule and on budget to include two change orders. All work was done to the highest degree of professionalism and attention to detail. The seven work day project saw clean up at the end of each day and punctual start up the next. We could not be happier with the outcome and the fair price. We have already recommended Loayes Painting to friends and will continue to do so. We will call Beningo for future painting and remodel work.

The Loayes brothers did the best ceiling drywall job I have ever seen. When they made holes for the fixtures they were precisely round and precisely where the fixture was. The ceilings, walls and floors they did look the best they have ever looked since we have owned the house. The edges between the blue walls and white trim and ceilings are crisp. There is no white trim paint on the new oak quarter round or the floors. They were nice to deal with too; Completely honest, reasonably priced, dependable, accommodating of my special requests, decent hard working men interested in doing a good job. I would have no hesitation in hiring them again.

EXCELLENT! WORK WAS DONE VERY QUICKLY AND DONE VERY WELL. THEY WERE VERY QUICK AND GOOD. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR PAINTING SERVICES.
