Our initial phone call to request an estimate was almost immediately returned and owner Mike Cadle arrived right on time. Since our 30 year old walk had been laid over a reinforced concrete base, Mike said they could skim off all the old pavers, add concrete to relevel the settled walkway and correct the step height, and then construct a new flagstone stoop and walkway over the original base. We had received two other estimates from companies that wanted to just remove all the existing concrete and start from scratch, something we viewed as unnecessarily wasteful. Mike never even suggested that route, which we really appreciated. His very skillful crew showed up on time, worked diligently, and cleaned up well. The final product is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier. I am very particular about the artistry and how things line up....and the stoop and walk are perfect, even where the walk curves back to the driveway. I am also pleased with the nice variety and balance of color in the natural slate stones they selected. We would definitely choose Capital Masonry for future projects. Capital Masonry did a great job for my project. Mike contacted me after I left a voice mail on his cell phone. He and his staff came over at the time they promised. They measured the size of both part and gave me their proposal on site right away! I wanted to build my patio between my deck and my basement stair well. Both of them had a existing concrete step stands. Mike did not like others proposing to remove them. Instead, he suggested to use them along with new pouring concrete base for the patio. The team came over on the day we scheduled and they were very efficient. The project started on Monday morning and they finished the whole project by Thursday. The patio is beautiful and we have enjoyed it right they finished the job. The concrete side apron was great as well. It can help us to prevent moisture from lawn especially during the rainy days like this year. I will definitely hire them again and I would recommend Capital Masonry to my friends and others!

What a fantastic experience! I had the pleasure of working with Mike and Art. they came out within days for the estimate, emailed that within about 5 hours. I accepted bid, but then had to ask if they could move the date up due to hot tub delivery which would prevent access to window opening. Mike worked it out, Art came out the next day and had the job completed and it was done beautifully! I'm grateful for the accommodation of the schedule and the attention to detail that Art provided to create such a great match to the home mortar structure/texture!!

Mike Cadle did an amazing job of assessing our problem situation and proposing several options with the pros/cons of each one. He did not try to upsell us or push a more expensive option, like other contractors often do. Capital Masonry is one of the few masonry contractors that are willing/able to do restoration and repair. Others can only do new installation and will only price new installation. Our repair is as good as brand new. We liked our experience so well -- they made our existing walk look brand new without replacing it. So good that we'll have them out again in the spring to repair/revive our stona walls so that they don't have to be replaced entirely. Details: We had major sinking between the sidewalk and our stoop, and a large gap had formed under the stoop. A big portion of our sidewalk needed removed, and new concrete and brick installed using rebar to connect it to the stoop (not installed properly before). The work was scheduled quickly, completed quickly, matched existing brick and mortar, cleaned up immaculately, and the result is terrific.

Working with Capital Masonry was an excellent experience. Not only were the jobs perfectly and promptly completed, but every single interaction was professional and pleasant. They were quick to respond when we requested an estimate, listened to what we wanted, and provided a written estimate on the spot. They waited for us to get our additional estimates for comparison, and then they shared references immediately when I asked. They even tentatively scheduled the work while our deposit was still pending, and then they were able to follow through on time. The job was finished in barely three days, when they had said it might be four. i called the boss with one question in the middle of the job, and he called back with a reassuring and accurate answer in less than an hour. The workers cleaned up beautifully after themselves, even pressure-washing our driveway unrequested before they departed. This job was not cheap, but I'm confident that we got our money's worth. Besides that, it's always nice to work with a family-owned, established local business.

Capital Masonry was able to do my repair within a couple weeks. They came exactly when expected and did a spectacular job on my stone patio. It looks amazing-especially when compared to the condition it was in before their work. Mike's workers are efficient, extremely competent, knowledgeable , and pleasant. I am very happy with their job and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Mike and Garrett are very easy to work with, they listened to what we had to say and offered suggestions, as well as answering all of our questions. They were also able to provide an estimate on the spot. The installation crew was on time and very professional. They made sure that we were happy with the work performed and cleaned up the work site.

I made an appointment with Mike Cadle and he and his son arrived on time and talked to me about my project. After we talked for awhile, he indicated that he wanted to take some measurements, so I left them to it. I later saw them standing around talking and looking at my neighbor's backyard and then my old deck and back door that we are going to also replace, but which were not near the work I asked them about. Finally they left. Two weeks later, having received no proposal, I called and left a message to try and follow up to see if they had tried to send it to me. They replied that they just didn't have time and were not taking on new projects because they are overwhelmed with work and are getting "20 phone calls a day." Well, gee, why are you advertising and offering discount coupons on Angie's List then? And why did you have time to waste coming out to talk to me and and look all around my house? Frustrating and unprofessional. Silver lining is I found out now instead of later.

They were highly professional, responsive, and skilled. They installed a beautiful walkway in two days. We were quite pleased.

Mike (the owner) and Garrett came out and gave us a cost estimate within days of our calling for an appointment. The work was started one week later and completed in one day. We are very pleased with the finished product as well as all of our interactions with Mike and his crew. We would not hesitate to use Capital Masonry again, and recommend them to others with similar needs. Note that I rated the price of the job as "A" but I don't really have any point of comparison. We felt comfortable with Mike's initial assessment of the work that was needed and his cost estimate, and since they were ready and able to move forward quickly, we cancelled our other request for an estimate.

They always are responsive and punctual. The bid was a little high but I had used Capitol Masonry once before so I knew the work would be done well. In addition to repairing and replacing all the damaged brick as described in the bid, they repointed the mortar where needed all around the house. I ended up getting far more than I expected.

Mike and Garrett provided a detailed estimate on site. I selected them due to their on site visit, attention to detail, and willingness to repair concrete as well as brick. René and his colleague were very dedicated to perfection and worked thru one of the hottest days of the summer. The garden wall looks new, they did a nice job of matching mortar.

The work started on time and finished in the amount of time Mike Cadle, the owner, said it would take. The crew was professional and did a good job. I would hire this company again.

It went very well. We had feared that we would also need a fencing contractor to replace the vinyl privacy fence on top of the wall, but Capital Masonry was able to take care of that for us.

First off, I would like to thank Mike, Garrett, Artemio and his team for doing an outstanding job for both the masonry repair and the new flagstone patio. We were extremely pleased with their professionalism, attention to detail and great service during the whole process. I contacted Capital Masonry April 25th to schedule an estimate, and Mike and Garrett came by on April 27 for an evaluation. After a 30-minute walkthrough, they provided an estimate on the spot. The estimate came out to $1,950 for the masonry work and $7,750 to build the flagstone patio. We chose Capital Masonry based off references, consistently excellent reviews on Angie's List, Google and Yelp, and they did not disappoint. The project was scheduled on May 7th and took three days to complete. Artemio and his team were on time, efficient, responsive, hardworking and experts in their craft. The crew was very diligent in cleaning up and leaving the work area nice and tidy when they were done. The masonry work is impeccable and the flagstone patio looks magnificent! The work done has added value and character to both our home and backyard. Given the level of service provided and the quality of craftmanship, Capital Masonry has exceeded our expectations. We are very pleased with our decision in selecting Capital Masonry and look forward to hiring them again for future projects.

Although not obligated by warranty, at no charge Mike made good on repairs to damage to our footpath caused by harsh winter weather. Really outstanding service. Very highly recommended!

Mike was easy to deal with and very responsive. I had a furniture delivery scheduled for the same time he was fixing the walk. He made sure his crew was done with the part the delivery man had to walk on. Work was completed on time and to specifications. Craftsmanship was excellent.

I got estimates from three companies, and Mike Cadle's of Capital Masonry was very fair -- not the highest and not the lowest. I chose Capital Masonry because of their excellent reviews on our neighborhood NextDoor and on Angie's List. Three masonry workers began work on a Monday and completed the job by Friday of the same week. I could see them working, and they worked very hard from 8:30 to 5 each day, sometimes longer. No laying about. The resulting walls are absolutely beautiful and my yard was left clean.

The response from the owner was quick, professional and thoughtful. We were able to schedule an on-site visit during our first contact. The owner of the company came out personally to provide the estimate, which was fair and detailed. Scheduling the repair was easy and the work done was exceptional. I would work with this company again.

The owner of Capital Masonry, Mike Cadle, responded timely to our request for repair work needed to several exterior hardscape areas of our 1950 brick ranch home. We had asked each contractor to submit suggestions / bids that would keep with the existing hardscape "look" and also maintain the quality and longevity of the areas. Mr. Cadle arrived on time and spent a good amount of time walking our property, making suggestions on the best approach to repairing damaged and deteriorating areas of the hardscape to stay within our budget without sacrificing quality or aesthetics. We had had others that only "encouraged" us to completely demolish the areas needing repair and rebuild for tens of thousands of dollars. Others submitted bids to just basically add mortar where needed. While Mr. Cadle's bid was not the least expensive, it was comprehensive, reasonable, timely and aligned most closely with our desire to keep with existing aesthetics and still assure the areas would last another 20 years or more. Mr. Cadle willingly and patiently came out several more times to address other questions we had and make more suggestions. Each of his detailed written estimates were easy to understand and delivered with 24 hrs. The cost of and the date to begin the work was agreed upon, and Mr. Cadle and his team showed up exactly when he said they would for all 3 days it took to complete the job. The crew showed up 8:30a and worked constantly and diligently until 6:30p the first two (and I might add, very hot) days. We had to "force" them to take a break for lunch. The completed the job early afternoon of the 3rd day. Each member of the crew was polite, professional, and conscientious with respect to their work and the cleanliness of the job site. First, they pressure washed all of the areas to be repaired, which made a huge difference in the aesthetics before the work even started. They paid special attention to how the flagstone on the rear patio was laid so that drainage would not be an issue. They worked hard to protect, to the best of their ability, existing landscape to minimize damage. After the work was completed, they pressure washed everything again and - WOW - it looked like we had a brand new walkway, flagstone patio, and stairs in the front and rear of our property! Mr. Cadle called the day after the work was completed to arrange a time that he could meet with us to walk the areas and ensure we were completely satisfied or address any concerns. Everything turned out much better than we had actually anticipated and we are very, very pleased. He did not ask for any money or payment until after the work was completed and we were completely satisfied. I've included before and after pictures of the areas where the work was done. We would not hesitate to and will most certainly call Mr. Cadle / Capital Masonry for all future hardscape projects. Highly, highly recommend this excellent company.

Capital Masonry performed brick patio maintenance, reset bricks and mortar joints, and lay concrete foundation and set bricks on walkway. They did an excellent job, very professional and timely, looks brand new. Will not hesitate to recommend them to others. Thanks.
