Description of Work: They did a very thorough job detailing both cars, especially considering the cost to us. The purchase was a great value.

Description of Work: Jewel was prompt to call and schedule as well as were on time for the appointment. The three person crew spent more than 90% of the time on the inside of the car. The carpets and seats were very clean. The dash was smeared with product (including displays) and I was disappointed that I had to reclean the windshield as it was also smeared with product used on the dash. I can not confirm, however I believe the spray wax used as the car was "done" 10 minutes after the wash. I have had to apply my own coat of wax two weeks after the detailing. There was no "love" put into the outside of the car. I have other concerns but I have kids so I don't know if they were the cause or if the detail team were careless. I will not reuse service as I do not believe I should have to oversee the service.

Description of Work: The outside & interior of cars were done very will! Only drawback was the windows, both inside & out, poorly done - still have to keep wipping the inside to get out the streeks. Also, have had to do the outside a couple of times. Good thing, both the guys were hard workers & tried their best!

Description of Work: i bought the big deal, one for each of my 2 suv's. the suv's had a $30 surcharge. this was a little disappointing as i have a saturn vue and a lexus rx330, both fairly small suv's, not significantly larger than a full size sedan. the work was planned for a sunday which worked with my schedule very well. unfortunately the sunday time came and went. i had told them when i scheduled the time that i had plans for that sunday night and needed to know how long it would take. i was told there would be no problem. now i'm worried that they are going to rush the detailing because they showed up late and i had plans that required at least one of my vehicles. i'm afraid that's what happened because the windows in both vehicles were very very streaky and hard to see out of. this was one of the last things the guys did. there were other small details that got missed or were not done well that i didn't have time to check nor would they have had time to do. either jewel or i should have re-scheduled when they were late so as not to rush this. the guys were very professional when they did arrive and seemed to be interested in doing a good job.

Description of Work: JEWEL AUTO CARE detailed my minivan. I recently went to the beach with my kids and needed to get my car cleaned. I had to reschedule more than once due to a very hectic, constantly changing schedule. They were always very accommodating and the customer service was great. The crew worked very hard in blazing heat. I thought they did a good job. I did however, notice a few days later, dried cleaning solution splattered on the plastic paneling behind the seats (as I opened the trunk). Other places where the job could have been improved (which were not evident upon inspection before the crew left my home): 1. The front windows and windshield were smeared--I had to clean these later that day. 2. There were a few bugs left in the front grill of the van. They were tough to see, so I didn't notice them until the light was right. In addition, as the advertisement stated, they charged extra for pet hair and for having a minivan. For the most part, I was satisfied with the job, but I would want to try another service next time to compare.

Description of Work: Fine print said service in Fairfax County. Rep contacted me and said, "Bear in mind that per the Angie's List ad there is a travel charge between $20 & $25 for distances beyond 20 miles of zip code 20110." I informed her that the fine print does not say that. She responded with, "My apologies, but Angie's has various information in different places on their site. The destination charge is listed in our company's profile. We've asked Angie's several times to also list it in the actual ad but, for their own reasons, they don't. Some members do see it and some do miss it." I do not want to pay more for the service, since it said Fairfax Co, where I live.

Description of Work: I was surprised that only one technician came out, when, on the invoice, it listed 2 guy's names. He was incredibly polite and worked diligently for almost 3 hours. I asked that he use an electric buffer to see if it would help get rid of some sap that had been infused with the paint/ sealer, so that incurred an additional cost. When he was finished, the car looked beautiful except the trim on the outside had not been done. The technician, who was new to the company, didn't think that was part of my deal and tried to charge me extra for that, which was later dropped when I spoke with the owner - it was listed as part of the Angie's List deal to treat the trim and rubber seals. After he left, I discovered he hadn't vacuumed out the inside compartment or the trunk, which he asked me to take everything out so he could do it. It's a minor thing, but I thought I'd include that fact.

Description of Work: Mark and Rob of Jewel Auto Care were prompt, professional, and pleasant = PERFECT! I am a car guy and appreciate greatly the superb job Mark and Rob did on two of my treasured vehicles. It is obvious these two professionals care about the product their company provides-it was a pleasure to have them on my property and I look forward to using Jewel Auto Care again.

Description of Work: Two men one did most of the work. When they told me they were done and to inspect the car I found that my battery was dead. They left all the doors open (5) and played the radio during the nearly all the time. We never did get around to inspecting the car as I needed to see about getting the car started. When I did, by AAA, it was the battery. | |What we did find after the battery was fixed was the front windshield was very dirty both inside and out and I had to clean it. | |I don't like saying I wouldn't use them again but to much talk and not enough work and attention to detail.

Description of Work: This was a Big Deal for $175.00 for mobile auto detailing for a mid-sized car. I did have to pay an additional amount as I have a Subaru Outback. Everything went fine with the service. We did have a bit of a mix-up in the beginning but they did come out and make up for that. The owner really wanted to do a good job and a broken vacuum in the beginning made them have to work a little harder but they did a good job.

Description of Work: They detailed my four year old Toyota Prius after I had loaned it to my daughter for three months (my daughter paid.) I am very fussy about my cars and they found and corrected spots on and in the car that only a fanatic like me would notice- I started out skeptical, but ended up impressed. The only thing I didn't like was the shiny black coating on the tires, but still, the car looks better than new.
