I called Mike Anderson a few days before my house went on the market. He came over during lunch from another job and scraped and plastered the two cracks. Later that day he came back and sanded and painted the dried plaster. No one would ever know they had been there. This is the third time I have used Anderson, and they are professional and through.

He did excellent service beyond job. Came on time, said what he was going to do and did it just like he promised. Good company. Thank you.

Mike came and started on time and answered all my questions. He is a really nice contractor. Give him a call, you will definitely enjoy them.

Mr. Anderson & his staff were on time & organized. They were neat & efficient. The work was high quality. I would use them agian.

Went very well. Provided estimate on the spot. Directed where to purchase door and type. Delayed installation for weather, but arrived to install on time and was done by the end of the work day. Had to make modification to the door and did it without problem.

Mike, was very professional, always prompt, and very accessible. His experience showed in his work detail and perfectionism. His worker, was pleasant as well. He wasn't the least expensive, but well worth every dime. His knowledge showed in his craftsmanship.

Both jobs were started and completed on time. The first job ended up below the estimate. The bathroom was about $3000 over but he told me to begin with that with an old house they don't necessarily know needs to be done until they can see behind the walls. He kept me informed about every surprise and new problem and would often give me options about what could be done.

THE WORST. I live in El Paso, TX. My rental townhouse is in Springfield, VA. Anderson Construction was very highly recommended by my neighbor. Mike exceeded the scope of work of the contract and did substandard work. On 14 March 2008 he was contracted to paint the exterior of the townhouse and tile the kitchen. He was to send bids to refinish the hardwood floors and tile the basement half bath. Instead, since I was 2000 miles away, he refinished the floors, tiled the bath, and sent me a bill for $8080.00. On 17 Mar he sent me a FAX saying he didn't notice there were doors and windows on the back of the townhouse when he did his bid (??) and "had to" charge me an additional $1495. He charged me $4900 to refinish the LR & DR floors, and $1295 to tile a half bath which is 3' wide and 9 ' long. He also charged $1895 to replace the baseboard in the LR & DR after refinishing the floors. All of these charges came in the form of "bids" by mail on 27 March. On 28 Mar my neighbor sent me an email telling me how gorgeous the floors were. I arrived back in Springfield on 30 March, put Mike's stepladder, hammer, screwdriver, paint screen, trowel, and plastic buckets out on the front porch and changed the locks. Inspecting the job, I found a broken tile which had been clumsily patched in the newly tiled kitchen, a puddle of spilled and dried coffee which had stained 4 of the unsealed tiles and grout dark brown, no baseboard shoe molding in kitchen, none of the baseboard painted in kitchen, LR or DR, 8 windows stuck shut, 8 screens slit by the painter so he could get them off to paint the exterior of the windows, window sills unpainted, paint all over the window glass, door handles, etc.etc. He also still owes me $1305 for tile he was going provide which I found the same day at home improvement store for $395 and bought. While I was in Springfield, the referring neighbor came in. I told her if this was the exceptional quality work she was recommending, she needed to revise her standards... I had to contract with another company to come in and finish the job - another $350. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and a (23 page) complaint with Dept of Professional and Occupational Regulation.
