Hew's Carpet Care LLC

This is the second time I used the vendor. Basically, he showed up both times, looked at the work and then gave me the price and then did the work. This time, he had real stain problems to deal with but they were simple stains which did not require beach or dye or radical work. I knew the stains would lift but it would require some extra effort. He uses a water system and got one rug to look better than I expected. After spraying, attacking stains and then sucking up the water he walked the areas. The stains were reduced. Then he put down fans. The fans are important since they insure a better drying period. He said he would call me to remind me to move the fans around. Well, he said he did but I never got calls so I just moved them myself after six hours or so. I also used an electric heater on a "shag' style rug I have. They dried very well! He is impressive since he comes back and checks his work. This way, you end up with a slightly more dependable, higher quality result. He returned the next day. I still can't find a record of calls. When he came back, some areas were still dark and a few stains remained. He scrubbed them. Then he collected his fans and left.

The scheduling was easy. Arrival was on time. After explaining I needed the carpets to be absolutely dry for a party, he left two commercial blowers/fans to assist the job to dry. The carpets looked and smelled great and were dry in time for guests to arrive. (Several of the stains were from prior occupants of our house, and we didn't expect them to come up. They didn't. Great service, but not miracle workers :)) I had used another company previously to clean the rugs in this house (an oxy-clean/non-steaming service)... and I prefer the job that Hew's did over the oxy (crunchy residue) company.

They called ahead as promised, were on time, and did a great job. Fantastic service!

No issues at all with the service. We had a spot that wicked back up the carpet fibers after about a week. They came back and retreated the area at no charge, and it hasn't come back. Overall, we're satisfied with the service.

The results were better than we expected (for a cream-colored carpet) for a great price.

I contacted Hew through email and told him what I wanted done and when. He responded back to me that night and we agreed on a day and time. He gave me a heads up of additional fees which I already knew was beyond the amount of the coupon. He showed up during the time frame he gave me and called me to give me a heads up that he was on the way. He introduced himself and we immediately went through the rooms. I also wanted duct cleaning done. He gave me the cost beforehand which was very reasonable and I agreed. He was there for 4 hours. He was very thorough and courteous. He worked non-stop. I would absolutely recommend him and his company. Very pleased with the work and the cost.

I haven't unwrapped the rugs yet because I had them wrapped to move, but I can say that Hugh was very responsive. I called them about a week before I need the rugs back and they picked them up that day. As soon as Hugh picked up the rugs he called me with an estimate, which was $450, but I had a $100 off coupon from Angie's List. Hugh said he would get the rugs back to me in time for my move and he did. He delivered them to me, and I had a chance to meet him -- he was very kind and offered to unwrap the rugs and show me how they turned out, but as I've said, I needed them wrapped to move. I would recommend Hew's -- he was prompt, courteous and punctual.

Excellent same-day service - called around 1pm and he was able to fit me in same-day - which I really appreciate. He did a great job with the carpets- my dogs had done a number on the carpet (even though I have it cleaned every 3-6 months)... and so there were several stains(vomit) and urine spots. I have two average size rooms I wanted done. My only disappointment is the cost - I wanted the $99 carpet cleaning for 2-3 rooms as advertised on Angie's List and for some reason - because of the stains I had - he said it didn't apply. He said that price was for carpets without stains. I was therefore charged $160 instead. So - although he did a really great job - and was very professional - I did feel slightly "cheated" in that it wasn't $99 for him to clean the two rooms. I've used other carpet cleaning services in the past - as I have my carpets cleaned pretty regularly - and this was more money then I normally pay for the two rooms from competing companies - and they pretreat stains and then clean/deodorize it too. So, overall - happy with the results - just, honestly, not super happy with the price. Would recommend to others - but you might want to double check what you are going to pay on the phone before having him come out. $160 is just too expensive for me in the future to pay for the two rooms when I have it done so regularly. Very nice man though - does good work - and even left fans to help it dry faster.

Hew's Carpet Care, LLC did all right. Their price was a little higher than what I was wanting to spend, but it was fine. He did a good job.

Fans were left behind to dry the carpets, and I was advised to remove my rugs ahead of time. Mr. Hew is very professional, courteous and focused on quality work. I will definitely use his services again!!

The technician arrived on time. He looked at the space and told me about how long it would take to complete. I worked in my home office while he did the cleaning. He let me know when it was done and I was able to look at everything and confirm he did a good job. It was easy and required little of me.

He accepted the Angie's coupon I had although I didn't have it at time of estimate. We were very pleased with his friendly and thorough service and will use him again.

We had to get our apartment ready for inspection and called Hew's Carpet to have our carpet cleaned. Hew's called as promised half an hour call prior to arriving which minimized the waiting around time. The carpet cleaning included two round of stairs and a loft in which case we paid $30 more. Hew's did a great job and we received our bond back!

The results of the cleaning are great. The carpet doesn't look new but it's a huge improvement over what it did look like. Hew's showed up when he said he would and performed the carpet cleaning in an efficient manner. He even left a fan to dry to carpet quickers. I'm very pleased with the overall experience.

Overall it went pretty weel. He came on time and performed the needed work. He took care of cleaning up stains we had on carpet.

Hew's did an excellent job. I was surprised how well they got the spots out of the carpet. It was painless, efficient and no problems. They cleaned my daughter's apartment while she was away, so our only contact was over the phone.

It went very well. In fact, it far exceeded my expectations. Hugh did everything he said he would do, when he said he would do it and at the price he said it would cost. He was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Hugh is a perfectionist who obviously takes great pride in what he does and he cares deeply about customer satisfaction and the quality of the final result.

I scheduled to meet Mr. Hugh after work the same day I called him (I was trying to make sure services could be completed before our move in date). He was going to give us a call 30 minutes before he would arrive during a 3 hour window (6-9PM). Unfortunately, he hadn't called by 8:30, so I called him and it turned out his job had run late so he couldn't meet. We rescheduled for the next day and got the estimate. We scheduled the service for Sunday morning (REALLY appreciate his willingness to fit us in on a weekend!) at 10 and again he was going to call 30 minutes prior to arriving. We didn't hear from him so I called him at 10:30 and then he called back and arrived shortly thereafter. I only mention this so you know there may be very minor delays, but don't worry. He will get there and he is WORTH THE WAIT! My husband and I have become a bit fanatical about dust and allergens since most of this year I have been having health issues that we believe are triggered by allergies (we moved from Colorado to Virginia and there is a big difference). Mr Hugh was VERY thorough with the duct cleaning and even recommended ways to reduce dust with where we could put the filters (which would also reduce our future need for his services in all likelihood). He made sure we didn't get services that weren't needed (the dryer duct) and probably thought our carpet cleaning was unnecessary, but he was VERY thorough -- cleaning not only the tops of each stair, but also the upstep or rise part of each stair of which we have a lot! He left blowers on to dry out the carpets which he then picked up today. Mr Hugh is an honest, hard-working individual who truly takes pride in his work. His prices are beyond reasonable for the quality, especially with the discount through Angie's List. We would definitely use his services again.

It was great. Hugh was able to schedule me soon after I bought the big deal, he was on time, courteous, and professional. The carpets look great! I had actually tried shampooing them on my own and couldn't lift the stains that he was able to get. And not only did he accomplish his task in an excellent manner, and not only was he professional and courteous, he was also very nice and fun. I am definitely hiring him in the future and I encourage other angieslist customers to do the same.

They arrived and were polite. I provided them with the certificate since I had pre-paid on Angie's List. They looked at the area and then said that it was $110 more if I wanted them to remove the pet odors. There were no stains...the odor was the only problem and the reason I had purchased the certificate. The area I needed cleaned was very small and they steam-cleaned without the odor treatment because I refused to pay $210 total for cleaning such a small area (1/2 of one room and a hallway).

Our carpet has been through quite a lot and we thought it was past the point of no return. Carpet on multiple stairs was pulling up, and in other areas it needed repair. Not to mention the stains and dirt that builds up from having two large dogs. We had estimates for new carpet but after the sticker shock of what it would cost, we decided see what a good cleaning would do. I had little hope that anything could even be done to make it presentable. I did a lot of research on Angie's List to find something priced reasonably with A ratings and Hew's Carpet Care was exactly what I was looking for. Realistically I knew some of the stains probably wouldn't come up, but I am amazed at how clean they are and how great the repairs look! Hugh was very thorough and left fans overnight to help the carpets dry. He was very polite, friendly and good with my dogs. I highly recommend Hew's Carpet Care!

They did an excellent thorough job, had good value, and were high quality. They were also prompt, polite, and thorough. I was very satisfied with their work.

Mr. Hew gave me a 4-hour window and said he would call about a half hour before he expected to arrive. This was very handy as I was able to run local errands while waiting for him. He came right in the middle of the projected time frame. He.got the carpet cleaner than I thought he could. He is also a very pleasant individual. I will definitely use him again.

Mr. Hew came to our house later in the evening to accommodate our schedule. We have used him before and he does an excellent job. Sometimes he has to take breaks because as you can imagine he receives several phone calls from potential customers but that does not stop him from doing an excellent job. If your carpets are horrible don't expect miracles but if your carpets are in decent shape he will make them look great again.
