It went really well! I can't recommend this company enough. The house smells great! They were communicative and efficient.

It was fantastic. These guys are fast, on time, and made sure the job was done correctly. They patched a small hole in the dryer duct tube when they found it during the cleaning and helped me troubleshoot the issue with my dryer. Highly recommend, definitely will go with them again.

I recently moved into a home where the previous owner had pets and I have a child with allergies, so I wanted to get the vents and ducts inspected and cleaned to provide allergy relief. Plus, I wanted piece of mind that all the systems were functioning properly. Great thing I scheduled service because not only were my ducts clogged with years of dust, debris, and pet hair, I was also sitting on an extreme fire hazard with a clogged dryer vent. I couldn't be more impressed with my technician (Brandon) who worked with the upmost professionalism. He took care to explain processes as well as provide tips and recommendations to maintain the system's health. He serviced my home quickly and efficiently, and I can already feel a difference in the air quality and my dryer. I would highly recommend the company for any servicing, and I will definitely use them in the future to maintain the great work Brandon performed.

Carlo was great! I needed the HVAC cleaned following a long term construction project at my high rise condo. When I called to inquire about services and concern over mold/mildew, Carlo was extremely knowledgeable and assured me that they would check the vents and vent covers. Carlo sent me pics throughout the inspection and after confirming black mold presence, was able to sanitize the system, vent covers, and install a uv light for mold/mildew prevention.

Timely, thorough, and professional. Cleaned, sanitized, and made recommendations to help maintain new HVAC system.

Brendan came out and did a fantastic job! This company is A #1 and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The job was done thoroughly and Brendan was very good at explaining the entire process.

Very friendly, very professional and very honest. I had this done after my tenants reported burning and smoke coming from the dryer. Not knowing much about dryer venting, I was ripe to be ripped off for replacement duct work, more extensive cleaning, or anything else. Instead, I got an honest evaluation that everything was fine and that, indeed, there was just a normal amount of dust/lint for the 5 years since the dryer was installed. Highly recommend.

He arrived on time and let us know that our dryer wasn't drying very well because there was a rock lodged up in the dryer pipe outside. We're not sure how it got there, but he removed it, and also cleaned out the lint from inside and outside the house even though he said there wasn't much to remove. He said the reason we weren't getting clothes dry very quickly was due to the blockage from the rock. He said if it had remained in there for an extended period of time it could have overheated our dryer or even caused a fire. The dryer is working great again and drying clothes in one cycle with no problem. We appreciate their service and will definitely call them again for dryer vent cleaning. This is the 2nd time we have used them, and we have been very pleased.

Excellent work. The house was a rental and had tons of dirt from years of neglect. Cleaned up afterwards and added a nice smelling deodorizer to kill the musty smell from the dirty ducts.

First, I'm not sure of the exact date but it's been within the last month or so. Second, I had this done as they came highly recommended from a friend who had it done. He got a DVD of his ducts before and after. I received no DVD; I'm getting stuff out of my vents even now. I'm not sure exactly how duct cleaning is done but I would think they would need to remove the vent covers. I'm not sure that was done. I know for a fact it wasn't done in the bathroom because the vent is still sealed with paint. I've heard negative comments about other duct cleaning companies but I thought this would be different.

Service provider gives a window for when they will arrive (I thought it was the window when the work would be done, so I was a little confused when they didn't show up right at the appointed time, but that was my misunderstanding). Once they arrive, the technician explains exactly what he is going to do, finds/accesses all the vents and completes the work quickly and courteously. Our technician was really pleasant, and offered some great tips on keeping ducts clean in the future. When they are finished, they clean everything up, and are on their way. Very good service at a very reasonable price.

Duct Clean 1974 came to my house to clean dryer vent and ducts. Did not have electrical cord needed to turn on hose. Waited for an hour while cord was delivered . late for appt. arrived at 12:00 instead of 10:00am. Left furnace covers off furnace leaving in side wiring exposed! Furnace is not working : had to call furnace company. It is 52 degrees outside. Will not get corrected till tomorrow. Left dirt in a bathroom that looked like a dirt bomb blew up in bathroom; dirt on sinks counter ; floor ; rugs! What a mess! Appt. took till 4 pm to be completed. Not happy! Angie list what about guarantee?? I do not think I should be charged.

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING. The tech they sent out was all over it. I've found that sometimes, people among the youngest generation of technicians are more inclined to speed through things, but not him. He did a great job. He was on time, explained everything, and really took his time to do a thorough job. He went over and above my expectations, especially with the dryer vent issues we had. A++++!!

Very well. The appointment went quickly without complications. I had a very kind & knowledgeable technician named Brendan who after asking me if I was having a nice day heard that I had a dead black snake entangled in the fine netting that I use to protect hosta, azalea & lily buds from deer & rabbits. Due to his familiarity with snakes and respect for all species he voluntarily put the netting containing the snake into a discard bag for me. Then he proceeded to clean the dryer vent. I appreciate Brendan's work and his help with a totally unrelated problem! I definitely recommend Brendan and Duct Clean 1974.

I am very satisfied with the service. Carlos was on time, explained how he would proceed, went right to work and then cleaned up everything after he was done.

I purchased a deal on Angie's List for cleaning and sanitizing "unlimited air duct vents" and one dryer vent. When the technician arrived and realized I had two systems, I was forced to speak with a manger (Carlo I believe). He informed me that that the deal was "intended" to be for only one system, and accused Angie's list of making a mistake. I read the fine print and noted that there was no such limitation, and explained that the reason I purchased this "deal" was because of the unlimited air ducts. He said he could not honor the deal as written, and attempted to sell me the service for the second set of air ducts at full price. After spending an hour on the phone with the company and Angie's List, I ended up just having the dryer vent cleaned and having Angie's List refund the coupon. I am not sure who to blame more--Angie's List or this company--but DuctClean 1974 certainly did not provide good customer service. I wasted a day from work for practically nothing. I cannot actually check the quality of the dryer cleaning service. The technician did, however, leave dirt all over my ceiling, which I had to scrub off. He also left metal drill shavings on the floor around my furnace, which could have been ingested by my pets. In fairness, the company offered to come back and address the dirt on the ceilings and provided me with a $10 discount. It just was not worth wasting another work day and providing the obligatory two hour window for their estimated arrival. But the lack of attention (the dirt was all over the ceiling) and the negligence in leaving metal shavings on the ground (next to a litter box no less) is very concerning. I also plan to have another company check my furnace for damage, particularly the area that was drilled by DuctClean 1974. I will not use this company again.
