Description of Work: Finished basement. Everything was done beautifully! The only thing we wish was different was the communication about what we needed to purchase and when throughout each stage. Since this was our first remodel, we were a little lost at times. All of the workers were extremely polite, respectful, and helpful. the owner and designer were great to work with and made sure all of design needs were met including making all doorways and bathroom handicap accessible. Definitely recommend!

Description of Work: Had an unfinished basement, They finished the basement with full bathroom, wet bar , storage room, game room home & Home theater room. | |I met with Dan Betts to show him my initial design. He Then offered suggestions. I was remodeling my kitchen at the time and he suggested I use my old kitchen cabinets on my wet bar which saved me considerable amount of money. The contract is very detailed and there were no hidden surprises. What you are quoted is what you pay. The project manager, Chris McNally is on top of things communicated very well and returned calls or text messages usually with in hours. I highly recommend DeeBee Home Improvement if you are looking to finish your basement. They are professional, affordable, and provided me a fantastic basement.

Description of Work: I must say the work was much more than I expected the craftsmanship top notch. contractor constantly kept me informed of the work they were doing and gave me all kind of ideas that I could have never thought of. The workers are respectful kind and very clean. I would recommend Dee Bee contracting to anyone who's willing to do their basement and be proud of what they paid for.

Description of Work: The company completely refinished our basement. The original room consisted of one large room. The company put in a complete bathroom, two closets and a storage area. All of the electrical work was done including wall switches, outlets, fans and indirect ceiling lighting. Everything was swept up and cleaned up when they finished the job.

Description of Work: In July 2012, we found ourselves in need of finishing the unfinished basement in our home. Since our daughter and grandchildren were moving back to the area and would be living with us, we didn’t have a lot of time. We had just used a very reputable construction contractor to add a deck to our home, so they were the first to be called for our basement project. A salesman quoted a price that left us in disbelief. A quick google search lead us to Dan Betts at DeeBee Construction. Their website was very professional and easy to navigate. One phone call and Dan Betts was at our door the next day. We explained our need -- a 1,300 square foot unfinished basement that we wanted transformed into an entry way, a large family room, two bedrooms (one with an added window), a full bathroom with a large linen closet, and a large unfinished storage room. Dan then looked at the basement and began explaining exactly what he would do, i.e., plumbing, electrical, walls, floor, etc. His knowledge of construction was amazing. He never hesitated with “I think you can” or “I’m not sure” or “I need to check”. After a brief time of measuring, jotting down notes, and him crawling through our mess, we went back upstairs to discuss the project. Dan spent a few minutes calculating and then quoted us a price right there, that day. Dan’s price was more than half of the quoted price of the previous company. Immediately we thought there must be something hidden since the quote was too good to be true. We took a day to think it over, did a little research on DeeBee, and found that they carried an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We contracted with DeeBee the next day. That was on a Monday. In less than one week, DeeBee secured the Spotsylvania County building permit and began loading supplies into our basement. And, as an added bonus, DeeBee carried away all our trash and even took our truck load of donations to our local Goodwill … unbelievable, right? Oh, it gets better. Construction started with a visit from the project manager, Chris, who had the entire schedule outlined for us, and who was here nearly every day during the first week of construction. Chris was never more than a phone call away. If we had a question and left a voice mail for Chris, our call was returned with an hour. Following Chris was a team of construction experts/framers, Tom, Roger, and young Daniel, who were so professional, conscientious, hard working, and polite. They had to break through the foundation of the house to add a window to the second basement…a project they didn’t mind us watching as they worked. Previously we talked to Dan about a terrible floor squeaking from two rooms on the upper level, so while Tom and his team were here they repaired that problem as well. Framing was completed in just five days. Next was the electrician. We walked through the placement of all our outlets, electrical switches, recessed lights, ceiling fan, and wall sconces. Electrical work was completed in just a few days. The plumbing team then followed, digging up the floor and replacing pipes. Chris coordinated with Spotsylvania County and within two days, county inspectors were here to inspect the framing, electrical, and plumbing work. All within three weeks. Drywall went up next and was completed and primed in less than a week. The plumbing team returned to install the bathroom fixtures (tub, shower, toilet, vanity, mirror, and light). Tom and his crew completed the work with ceramic tile in the bathroom and entryway, trimming, other finishing work, and clean up. Within six weeks, we had our final County inspection, and were moving furniture and hanging pictures in our new basement.
