dropped and beein collected.I hired Weiler because we wanted our yard (1/2 acre, many trees) to look spotless. Mr. Weiler offered to collect and remove the leaves every two weeks, depending on actual leaf drop. They did a perfect job, leaving leaves behind in our wooded area (to fit the landsaping), but removing them everywhere else. He called before each leaf removal to make sure that it was ok to come by at the planned time, since he know our house was on the market. He changedthe planned time to fit our Open House; and he called to alert me that in their opnion, leaf collection was no longer necessary since most of the leaves had already been collected (which, in fact, was the case.) We were very happy with the service,and though Weiler's was more expensive than others, we felt it was worth the extra money..

They were professional andvery reasonable. They were also reliable, flexible, and their staff and the owner were very helpful. They had done work for us previously, and they are a pleasure to work with. They are very hands-on company. We would definitely recommend them, and use them again in the future.

I liked the person who came out for the estimate in 2012, Karen, but she is no longer with the company. It wasn’t the lowest quote, but it was close. We were impressed with her insight. They have done a super job for us over the years.

Mowing went without a hitch. Weeding was thorough. However, we had wanted two weeding/wisteria check-up services and had stated that in the contract but somehow got only one (and were charged for only one). There also was a problem stopping the mowing service when we were back.(however, we were not charged for the extra mowing. Our advice: make sure obtain confirmation of the final contract terms, don't just rely on the written contract..

Very well. Weiler's responded quickly and thoroughly as we finalized the project. They worked well with our HOA and the resulting project looks good.

Fantastic work! Overall, the Weiler's team spent about 5.5 days working at my house. They were professional and left the yard in decent shape at the end of each day's work. Communications were great. I got a solid and detailed estimate for the work, and they came in on budget. The owner visited my house before the project to confirm what I wanted, during the project to ensure everything was on track, and afterwards for a joint inspection and walk through. Here's the details about the work: my backyard used to have a small flat area right behind the house, most of which was taken up by an enormous, ancient, and ugly shed (from the previous homeowners). Behind this small flat area, the backyard slopes up steeply. Weiler's removed the shed and installed a patio. They cut into the hillside to expand the flat area behind the house and and put in a beautiful retaining wall, which doubles as a seating area for the patio. It's lovely. I've been wanting this done since we bought the house 5 years ago. I was very concerned about messing up the backyard, as I didn't want to create drainage problems. Weiler's convinced me that they knew their business. The retaining wall seems very solid and the window well near the basement window should help keep moisture away from the basement. They also regraded some other areas of the yard and installed some planting near the new patio, all of which looks fantastic. Overall, I chose Weiler's because they had so many other positive reviews here on Angie's list. Their estimate was a bit higher than some other estimates, but I was more confident that they were going to do a good job. I didn't want to take a low bid and then wind up with my backyard washing away in the next rainstorm. I'm very happy with the work!

Will Weiler himself came out to give us an estimate. He was great company and did a very thorough lookover of our property before giving us his professional opinion on what we should have done. He promised a proposal within two days and we received it! They're slightly more expensive than other local companies but I have received such great word of mouth reviews from friends and neighbors that we didn't want to use anybody else. Weiler's also does our weekly lawn service and they are always friendly and thorough. The lawn service is right on par for fair market value. I would highly recommend them!

In the past, I have hired Weilers. But, I was shocked today when I called them and had a poor experience. I called them to get an estimate on cutting my lawn for three months, fixing my walkways, and cleaning up my yard. While they were willing to provide an estimate on the expensive items, they said they would only cut my lawn if I signed a season contract, as opposed to three months. The owner was inflexible and curt. Given that response, I have no desire to give them the more expensive work. I like working with companies who try to meet customer's needs not just make a profit on high end tasks.

Their sales associate, Karen Baer, contacted me right after I had called for an estimate. She listened to my ideas and incorporated them into a landscape plan that she provided within 2 days. She followed up a few weeks later without being pushy. I delayed the work until spring and when I contacted her with changes I wanted made to the plan, she came by the house the next day to discuss it. She provided a new estimate that day. I then made a few further changes and she happily updated the estimate a third time. She was very patient and helpful during the entire process. Karen notified me a week prior to the work date so that I could make plans to be home that day. She arrived with the workers right on time. We discussed the work to be done and she stayed on-site for about an hour to ensure that the workers knew the plan. The workers finished by the estimated time and cleaned everything up. Overall a very good experience.

The contrctor come to the location on the same day as the initial call to review issues and discuss a solution. Additional recommendations were made by the contractor to address the issue. These were important to the overall proposal to resolve the issue, including grading along the back of the house away from the problem area to channel water away from the house . The work was competed within three weeks from the acceptance of the proposal. The work crew was professional and courteous. All debris was removed. The overall look of the work is very nice and complements the existing areas. I am very pleased with the work and staff.

They did a good job. Karen is who we talked to and she did all of the estimates. She was our contact person. We were very impressed with her.

Their representative, Karen, was very friendly and responsive to all of our questions. She told us when they were coming to do the job, and keptus in the loop of a couple (very minor) schedule changes. They did a great job, and Karen followed up with us to make sure we understood how to best ensure that the large re-seeded area germinated properly. I'd gladly use Weiler's service again and recommend them to others needing landscape work done.

Weilers put together the most professional proposal of the three we received for the yard work we wanted done. There were some communication problems that occurred when the "derecho" hit the area, which pushed back the date of the work by about a week. It also took a bit longer to get the actual work done than we would have liked. The weather was quite hot around this time, but the crew was late in arriving (thus missing out on the cooler morning hours), and had to stop early. Regardless, the work did get done and we are happy with the results and the fact that we can now use our backyard to its full extent.

They were very professional and timely.

They were excellent. They provided outstanding communication via email and phone. They provided us with advance notice so that we knew when they would begin and end the work and they did an excellent job with installation and clean-up. We could not be happier with this company and will most definitely use them again.

I absolutely love Weiler's. Everyone I have worked with from their office is great. Some of their services are expensive, but most of the time it is worth the cost. We received multiple proposals for a new walkway in the front of our house. We decided to go with Weiler's and we are very happy that we did. It took them about 2.5 days to install the walkway and it looks fabulous. If you are looking into landscaping, walkways, etc. I would highly recommend giving them a call. 9/3/2015 Update Our walkway was installed in August of 2012. During the winter of 2014-2015, r one of the stones cracked. We had Weiler's out to look at some other work and they replaced the cracked stone for free. That is what I call service. 10 out of 10, would hire again.

Weiler's did a great job. The owner of the company did the estimate and gave good but not pushy advice. The crew were punctual, friendly, and competent. Very happy with overall work product.

We received estimates from about 4 landscapers and most of them were outrageous (over $5K to lay down some treated lumber and mulch for a playground????). My guess is that this time of year most landscapers are pretty booked up so they feel like they can charge an arm and a leg. Weilers, however was the most reasonable with cost (under $2K) and they were highly rated with Angies List. The ratings were spot on. Weilers were very professional, and kept us in the loop for when they'd arrive. They also get big bonus points on their courtesy of timing the use of their heavy equipment -- they knew that we have little ones that nap so they tried to keep the noise at a minimum during naptime. Their final work was exactly what we wanted and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. The only downside was that it was nearly impossible to catch a representative on the phone leading up to the actual work (because they were really busy/short staffed). Honestly, that doesn't bother me at all because if they had a large staff to answer the phone, they would likely have to charge more for their work to cover the overhead.

Will himself came out to take a look at our property, discuss possible solutions and sent us his estimate within a week. When we decided to go with his company, he returned with his foreman, German, to show him the scope of the work and told us it would probably be a month before the work would begin. Like the previous reviewer, it took a bit longer than a month before work could begin and we rescheduled at least once because Arlington Co. suddenly decided to repair the sidewalks and repave our street with hardly any warning at all, but there was never any problem getting in touch with Will and I appreciated his flexibility when we had to reschedule because of the repaving going on on our street. German, Luis and Jonathan worked during 4 extremely hot days, but thru it all were punctual, conscientious, polite and hard working. They were neat and always cleaned the work area before leaving for the day. Will passed by twice a day to check up on their progress and make sure everyone was on the same page. They listened to our concerns. German and Luis returned the following week to clean the bricks up a bit more as my husband had requested and Will passed by the next day to check up on that details well. We?re very happy with the end result and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Weiler's did my flagstone walkway, landscaped and hardscaped my yard. They took longer to schedule my job than I would have liked, due to a variety of circumstances beyond their control, but I am very pleased with the finished product. The job took two days and the crew was on time and neat and orderly about their work, which I and my neighbors appreciated. Sadly, even though they mailed me a 10% off coupon for work done in July and August 2012, they didn't offer that deduction at the time of final payment, even though I waited two months for the work to be completed. So, if you have money to spare and time to wait, they do nice work.

They gave a fair price but we were able to find someone else to do it cheaper for us.

The staff were polite and professional. They worked quickley and did an excellent job.

Very disappointing. Our expectations were out of line with Weiler's actual capabilities. We thought they had expertise in plant management in additon to being lawn service providers. In fact, they are gutter cleaners, mulchers, mowers, and edgers. We signed an annual contract with them for tree and shrub pruning, lawn aeration, gutter cleaning, leaf blowing, border mulching, and edging. Other than the gutter cleaning, we were very disappointed. They "forgot" to do the fall lawn aeration and seeding and then suggested that they would "make good" by doing an extra gutter cleaning. We had contracted to have our yard blown free of leaves twice in the fall. Despite several calls requesting them to blow the leaves in late October and then again in mid-November, they never showed up until late November. By that time, we had raked the lawn once and then paid another lawn service to do the second clearing. The worst experience had to do with our shrubs. We spent more than two hours at the commencement of our contract walking our yard with our Weiler account rep. to talk about the timing of the pruning of our shrubs. Despite our instructions and their assurance that they knew what they were doing, Weilers workers sheared in early November our deutzia, nandina, ilex verticallata, winter jasmine, barberries, etc. so as to loose all 2012 flowering buds, winter berries, and to destroy the bushes natural shape. When another landscaping company saw the damage, they were surprised as us to see that Weilers had pruned holly and nandina berries and also sheared into "poodle balls" our abelia, mahonia, and azalea. When we raised our concerns with Weilers, they never volunteered to rectify the problem by a credit to our account or replacement of shrubs that had been butchered. Ultimately, we paid in full the year contract payment and terminated our relationship with them.

Weiler's can be unresponsive to emails and phone calls, but their work is outstanding. This is the second year in a row we've hired them, and we'll definitely use them again.

The lawn is not as smooth as we had expected. The grass is green and nice but the ground below is rough. Our mower bounces around when mowing. I think the ground was too wet when it was tilled and rolled. We had very rainy weather last September and it was hard to find a time to prepare the soil and get lawn started before cold weather. Weiler did the best they could and we do not feel they are responsible for the results. Karen was very businesslike and pleasant. She answered all of our calls as soon as possible.
