I gave 4 stars because I think there could have been better communication as far as arrival times and days working. The walkway and stairs they built turned out beautiful in spite of my vague directions.

Project turned out to look good, but did require my oversight to ensure they met the specifications of the project.

We are delighted with the work Robert Construction did for us! They replaced an old paver-built patio behind our house with a beautiful stone one. After removing the old patio, they poured concrete to create a solid structure, then applied a natural stone veneer, with steps connecting the upper level to the lower level. They even installed stone veneer on the vertical surfaces at the edges. Our new patio was completed promptly and beautifully. We are proud of the improvement it brings to our home. All crew members were hard working and well supervised. We could not be happier with the result, at a reasonable price!

This company was more expensive than quotes I received from other companies but they did an outstanding job--I couldn't be happier with the finished brick walk they installed. The adage, "quality is remembered long after price is forgotten" comes to mind. I recommend them without qualification.

Exceeded expectations.

We had a stamped patio add to the back of the house, with stairs. We also had our asphalt driveway removed and replaced with concrete. In addition we had our old concrete front porch and sidewalk removed and replaced. NAV was fast and did a quality job. They used rebar everywhere for strength. They made the driveway 5in deep to better ensure against cracking. The made suggestions to the design of the sidewalk connecting the front porch to the driveway that we had. It thought but are now so happy with. Easy to work with, quality work, reasonable price, what’s not to like.

Beautiful job, they were prompt, professional and cleaned up thoroughly. Everything was done promptly. My only comment is that, while I understand the need for stress cuts, I wish they'd informed me of depth and quantity for such a small (10x13) patio. Not withstanding, I do recommend them.

The crew was prompt, thorough, professional and efficient throughout the process. They even took additional steps to blend our existing patio with the extension. Very satisfied!

We were very sorry we hired this contractor. Some of the reasons were 1) He was quick to provide a 1-page proposal, but was too impatient to actually listen to what we need or to survey our backyard to know in depth what the work would entail. 2) When we called him back to survey our backyard to make sure his proposal is workable, he sent us another quick proposal which was 50% higher and pressured us to sign immediately 4) He does not answer his phone when he knows who is calling and does not want to take the call. This happened several times when he was unreachable for days to schedule the next phase of the work. However, when I called him from another phone, he answered immediately thinking it was a potential new customer. 5) The dirt that his crew dug up to build out patio was left on the grassy area in one big heap instead of being disposed of. Now, we have to hire another contractor to clean up after him. 6) The stones on the retaining wall that he built are already coming loose 1 week after the job was completed. 7) They spoiled our new driveway with cement drops. They spoiled our grassy area by constant foot traffic which could have been prevented by putting down a few wooden planks 8) He and his crew do not listen - instead they build your patio to their specs. Very frustrating! Robert also has many BBB complaints - feel free to check them out. Very similar stories to mine. I would not hire nor recommend them for anyone.

Disappointed, the job should have taken one to two days but it took a whole week. My grass is dead where they left the torn-up concrete and sod that was removed. This will cause an added expense. It took them five days to remove it.

I had a terrible experience with Robert Construction, LLC, which included incompetent/poor workmanship and horrible customer service. Do not be fooled by the good reviews for this company, if half of them are even real and not solicited from friends. They did a job for me in which they installed a concrete path alongside an existing concrete edge. They did not put an expansion joint/room for expansion, which is important because as the new path settles and moves, it will push against the existing concrete edge and crack it. A competent concrete company would know better. When I called the owner, Robert, he came out and admitted it was their mistake and said they would take care of it. I told him I needed it done soonest because the next phase of a project I had was dependent on him correcting his work. So he scheduled the repair work and my family and I arranged our schedules around it. Then he sends me a cancellation by email late the night before the job. No call/no apology. I did not even see the email until after he was supposed to be there the next morning. He also sent me a calendar invite for a new date 2 weeks away! Completely obvious that he bumped me and put several jobs ahead of mine, and I was no longer a priority (as a correction job). When I called him to tell him I was not satisfied with that and reminded him that I have another job waiting on him to correct his mistake, he hung up the phone on me. Then he would not answer phone calls coming from my number, so I called from another number and he miraculously answered. When I told him I needed the job done sooner as he originally promised, he hung up on me again. Then he did not show up for the job 2 weeks later. I threatened to sue him and report him to the Better Business Bureau and then he shows up early the next morning with no warning and his workers just start doing the work. The correction job involved saw cutting the original concrete path he laid incorrectly, which generates a ton of dust that went all over our property and our neighbor's property. Nightmare. So, even though he corrected his work after being threatened and after hanging up on me several times, the correction left a huge cleanup job. Do yourself a favor and go with another reputable contractor, even if this guy is a little cheaper. You will save yourself time, stress, and money in the long term by having the job done right the first time.

October 7, a representative of RBT Construction and Omar Robert Construction came over to preview a job we wanted to be done. He promised that he would be able to lay cement on the pond surface and fix the bottom step of the waterfall. We received a description of the work, asked for clarification, and agreed to the price. The contract was signed on 10/11. Work was to start Oct. 13. Then it was changed to the 14th, then 15th. I sent an email asking them to call us. Instead, the date was changed to the 19th then 20th. No one showed on the 20th. A new date was 22nd. I sent an email about the multiple changes and asked if this was a guarantee. No response. I called each of the business numbers twice leaving a message that I needed someone to call me. No call. Instead, they changed the date to the 23-24th. I wrote an email to both addresses and said I was done with all of this and was no longer interested in working with them. I received a change notice to 24-25 and then 28-29. On 10/27 I received an actual email and not a computer-generated date change saying. We will be there tomorrow. I responded that I could not believe they thought we were going to continue this circus. Moments later I received a cancellation notice. Dealing with such unprofessionalism was extremely frustrating. Each time we had to make sure that someone would be here for the work. I could understand a change because a previous job took more time than expected, but at least eight changes, one no show, and ignored communication just magnified the problem. I cannot say anything about the work the companies since they never did anything, but I feel that the lack of communication would be a harbinger of conflict if there were concerns with the job and certainly is a flashing warning about professional communication.

From start to finish, Robert, Omar, Jose and the workmen were excellent, professional, punctual, pleasant, in installing my stamped concrete patio. I'm immensely pleased with the quality of work, communication, clean up and thoughtfulness of this company. The work was done expertly and in a couple days. I'd highly recommend Robert Construction. I've been trying to find a company like this for years. They're top-notch. Thanks Robert.

Excellent work, timely, fair price

It went fairly well.

I needed three holes filled in on my living room floor. The holes were maybe 2-3 inches deep. The filling needed to be perfectly level with the existing floor. The work performed was excellent, and met the criteria for the floor installers that would be laying new flooring over the repairs. While I had some initial issues with the price charged for work performed, Robert reached out to me afterwards and (1) provided an explanation as to why the estimate was so high, to begin with, and (2) willingly renegotiated (and lowered) the final price in order to meet his own requirements for any job done that **the customer was completely satisfied**.

Baring weather issues they were on time. We had a couple issues that they immediately took care of. they cleaned up after themselves. Very satisfied & have already recommended them to friends.

Robert and his company are true professionals and extremely competitive in pricing. I was so pleased that I have already recommended him to a very good friend of mine to do a very similar project that he did for me. He was extremely responsive as well!!

Showed up on time - - did quality work as promised - - left the area spotless

I needed a new sidewalk, a new step, and the stoop repaired. His workmen did a superior job on the step, the sidewalk and repairing the stoop. However, the stoop was also recovered, but it looks like a patchwork quilt. They tried putting sealer on it, didn?t help. Going to give up and do it myself. Another issue was Robert the owner. Very poor communications skills. Wouldn?t answer the phone even when he did answer the phone from his foreman. I was standing right there. His workmen are outstanding, his management ... well from my experience, not the best. Would I recommend them, perhaps, but it would have to be a very specific task with exact finish qualities in writing.
