Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto

Took vehicle in for a state inspection and was told it would not pass w/o new tires. After agreeing to new tires they told me I ALSO needed new brake rotors and pads. I asked if I could simply replace just the pads and they told me NO. I refused on the brakes as it would pass inspection and later took it to another ship for a brake inspection and was told the brakes had more life left in them. Finally, I had to take the car back in for an issue with tires 6 maths later and they would not warrenton their work.

It went well. I was happy with what they did. The work is fine, the car is running well. It's a good shop. Their price is in line. The quality seems to be good. I'm happy with it. They're good to deal with. They're good to work with.

My car had gotten REALLY shaky. At low speeds, it felt like riding in a horse and buggy. I finally took it in. They quickly identified the problem and fixed it. It's always nice when the car feels almost like a different car afterward. Maybe I could find someone to do this work for less, but there's something to be said for peace of mind and quality workmanship. We've been using Hogan & Sons for years and have found them to be very reliable.

I have heard about bad experiences with them, but they had always done pretty well with me. However, I had them change two tires out and ask them to put the best of the two old tires on the spare rim. They changed the two tires but failed to put the best on the spare rim. They acknowledged that they did not do it but wanted me to buy a new tire for the spare. After a five minute debate I asked them if they would do it at cost and they refused. I will never use them again. The debate last for fifteen minutes and the manager could not explain his decision.

Some upselling but no nasty pressure. Took one particular suggestion that was not cheap and believe it was a smart move & good timing. My 2001 Camry has always been ready when promised.

I just needed tires rotated, but the salesman quickly glanced under hood and somehow could tell I needed all kinds of repairs, like a brake fluid change because it had a "green" color from the copper in the brakes!! You have got to be kidding?? He started down a list of all kinds of other things my car needed, and when I told him each item I had done myself or was performed at another garage, he just made up some goofy reason why it needed to be done again. My previous visit to Hogans was for a routine inspection and oil change on my other car but the "mechanic" called me and said my transmission fluid was black, which was an outright lie, and said my car needed new brakes. When I said I was going back to complain to an unrelated garage who had just serviced these items 3 months prior, he suddenly decided I did not need these repairs after all. But he went on to list a whole bunch of other unnecessary repairs. Strike two and goodbye Hogans, shame on you!

I used Hogan & Sons, Inc. in Falls Church. I went there in October. I got two tires I think it was around $425. They got to me right away and they were friendly and quick. Quality is good, service is good.

It went very well - work completed in 1-1/2 hours as stated and while I waited. Initial price quote came out slightly less even after using one of their coupons.
