Response from Craig's Lawn Care
We've reviewed all correspondence with this customer. We mowed her grass for the entire 2015 season. During the whole season we had no complaints from her regarding our service. For this 2016 season, we sent her a renewal letter where we told her we were raising her price (as we did with many of our customers) from $28 per mowing to $30 per mowing. The price increase was not exclusive to her only. We received an email from her in response to our renewal letter and rate increase, in which she expressed her discontent with the price increase and wanted us to maintain our price of $28 per mowing, and if not, she would go elsewhere for mowing. We subsequently responded to her email explaining to her that the cost increase is not solely related to the time it takes to cut the grass; it also relates to the time it takes to travel to her house. After our correspondence, she cancelled our service two weeks later. Given that there were no concerns expressed to us regarding the quality of our work the past season as indicated in her review, we can only assume that her negative review is related to her discontent of the price increase. Thirty dollars to mow a lawn her size is a very competitive rate.
