The whole story, from start to finish, starts at the bottom e-mail: Joe had sent another e-mail asking if I would accept a bank check for the refund (from JGM Enterprises JULY 8, 2014) Helen Rose I talked to my sales rep. with Angies list and he has advise me not to send you the refund direct from my company to you. He has informed me to let you know that you need to call them and request a refund (not email) and they will give you a full refund. I am sorry that my company did not fulfill our commitment to you. We have had a lot of jobs thru Angies list BIG DEAL and every job had issues' that extended and made the jobs more involved, and those issuess had to be address. We tried to fulfill all of the Angies deals and unfortunate that the one we didn't get to in time was yours. If you happen to have other projects, I hope you do consider my company and I would give it my top priority. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to bid on the job and your concerns with my family. Sincerely Joe Maynard president JGM Enterprise Inc. 757-288-0400 From:

[email protected] Subject: Fwd: Request for refund of $4,799 bathroom remodel big deal/lack of communication/response to e-mail Joe, I just received your two messages on my cell phone. I am on vacation - away from cell and internet service! There is no need for me to return your call. As I stated in the e-mail below, I am requesting a full refund of the $4,799.00. I purchased the big deal through Angie's list on my mastercard, I am sure they are able to credit the same card for that amount. The only resolution available is a refund, after I verify the refund, we can just forget any of this ever happened. I would appreciate an e-mail telling me when to expect the refund. My money has already been tied up too long, for no reason. I prefer all further communication through e-mail for documentation purposes. Thank you. Since you have not sent me an estimate on what I wanted done, and I have had so much time to think about the job, I have decide to do the job within the monies already paid. Here it the priority list in which I would like the monies spent. Just tell me what can be done: 1. New tile shower with two shower heads, bench, glass door, recesses in wall for shampoo, soap, razor etc. I assume I buy the times and you delete that money from my bill. 2. If I have funds remaining: a new toilet (one that is really good and can flush stuff down in one flush) 3. On demand water heater 4. Heater in ceiling (Jacuzzi breaker can be used) 5. Install medicine cabinets (they will not be recessed into the wall) Please use this email address or the following phone numbers to contact me. If using the phone and no one answers, leave a message. [email protected]> Sent: Sun, Jul 6, 2014 9:32 pm Subject: RE: Request for refund of $4,799 bathroom remodel big deal/lack of communication/response to e-mail Helen Rose I Would like to apologize for my negligence in not keeping you informed with the progress in your project. I have had some major setbacks on a few projects and some personnel family deaths in my family that keep pushing your project back even further. I did send you a estimate for the bathroom on April 5 2014 with a request read receipt and I did get that back. I am agreeing to refund your request of a full refund in the amount of $ 4,799.00 . If you are agreement that I send you a bank check. It will take longer to refund your amount through the Angie's listing company. If you are in agreement I will send this to you this week. Thank You J. Maynard
