Stan did great work and he was pleasant and efficient.

Purchased the Handyman service package via Angie's List to repair a leaking water pipe above our basement ceiling. Moss was able to work with us to first schedule a plumber (James Matthews) to repair the pipe and then a handyman to repair the drywall. James was prompt, courteous, and very professional in every sense of the word? more importantly was that he inspected the surrounding water lines and identified another pin-hole leak, repairing both at the same time. If he is reflective of all Moss Home Service employees I look forward to the handyman's arrival and will certainly look to Moss for future projects around our home

It was more work than I had anticipated. We signed up for 8 hours of work but it took almost twice that time because of unanticipated problems with removal and installation of both the vanity and exhaust fan. Thus the price was higher than I expected. Not the fault of the handyman since the problems were uncovered only after the work was underway. My wife and I removed the wallpaper before he arrived but this was a major effort and damaged significant portions of the wall which he had to repair. Walls were not square which created problems with the vanity installation. The handyman was able to make adjustments and accommodations to get the job done.

When I called to schedule, the sales woman Michelle explained the process and scheduled the day based on our needs. I appreciated that and we even booked a plumber! Both guys-James/plumber and Brian/handyman were great! They took time to understand the projects and we're realistic on completion times. Also, we appreciated their professionalism and politeness. We plan to use Moss again. Thanks :)

The jobs were split between indoor activities (3) and outdoor activities (5). Ramell and Scott took the outdoor activities (which were most of them on the list) and did a FANTASTIC job with each one. Everything was done in record time and they took extra care of smooth down the grout on the molding so it blended with the existing wood. I would have Ramell come back any time to do future work, but I heard he was recently promoted (well deserved). We need more Ramells in the world. Stan took the indoor activities and I was less pleased with his work (the reason for my "B" rating instead of an "A"). I didn't realize he wasn't a plumber and he didn't mention that the laundry faucet installation was beyond his capabilities. It took him about 4-hours to do the installation and later that day one of the pipes he soldered started leaking and got water all over my basement floor. I called Moss Home Services and wonderful Maria called me back saying that she was sending one of their plumbers right over. James showed up and re-soldered the pipe and stayed around to make sure it didn't leak. He also said to call him if anything happens. Luckily, nothing else did. Maria and James were great. They helped to elevate the frustration of a second visit. The cement patch around my AC drain got wet during the leak and still has not dried. I adjusted the pipe leading into the drain hoping to keep things dry enough so the cement can finally set.

My contractor's name was Dolan. VERY punctual. For the 8am appointment, I noticed him outside at 7:30. In addition to the work above, he was contracted to fix one more thing but after reviewing and discussing, we agreed it best not to complete that task at that time. In the kitchen, he was quick and efficient with the crown molding. It looks beautiful and professional. For the floor, it was already down and he was asked to just tighten it and possibly replace a few boards and then add baseboard and shoe. Instead, he actually pulled and reinstalled the entire floor, without being asked and I was very pleasantly surprised. I'd plan to send him on his way after he was finished, and without the additional task I figured it would be half the time. I thought it very professional of him to actually take the time to reinstall the whole floor. Also, he was professional, pleasant and courteous at all times. I truly appreciated the treatment as I've dealt with contractors who were less than that. It was definitely worth the money and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

It was a great service. I bought 4 hours each by two handymen. Brian and Ramell were personable, professional, competent, meticulous. They did more than I expected they would be able to do in their combined 8 hours. It was the best $499 I've ever spent and I will definitely hire Moss again when I have more jobs around the house.

We scheduled our service several weeks out, as they were very booked for outside jobs. That was fine with me. Handyman showed up on time and ready to work. However, the only hiccup was a last-minute change in the tasks to be completed due to a Lowe's material issue on my end. I spoke with Greg the afternoon/evening before and told him that we would probably be powerwashing the back of the house because the shutters that I ordered for the handyman to hang were returned by Lowe's without my knowledge (and before I could pick them up). The change in tasks was a last-minute change by me, not Moss. That being said, the handyman was fantastic, working with Greg was easy and I would definitely use them again. The only reason why I gave them a B instead of an A is because the handyman had to go to Woodbridge to get the powerwasher after he arrived, which took over an hour off my available time to complete the work. Since Greg knew the night before, it would have been even better to have him get the powerwasher before coming to start the work. And then, the powerwasher was out of gas, so he had to run out and get gas. That was the only snafu, and it was partly my fault. They would have just wowed me to no end if he had showed up with a gassed up powerwasher, that would be have been an amazing A for service! Let me say it again, I would - and probably will - use them again. Great service and easy to work with overall!

Rick did a highly professional job to install a new, over-the-range microwave. While it should not have been complicated, I found other workers to make it out to be a more complicated job. He was laid back, confident, and installed it quickly. Yay (if that doesn't sound too teenage).

Stan arrived early and immediately helped us prioritize our many household projects. Those jobs he couldn't finish in the alloted time we had purchased, he gave excellent and patient advice to my wife and I on how to complete, and even provided pointers as we worked alongside. We learned a tremendous amount. Each project he attacked with artistic skill and professional expertise. - He fixed my lousy patch job with the hole in the ceiling so that you cannot tell there was ever a problem. Better yet, he showed me what I did wrong and how I could do it better next time. He even adjusted the light fixture to be more in the center of the room. - He fixed our amateurish crown molding installation, giving our living room a very polished and finished look. Additionally he recommended better ways to paint the molds so that the details and features would have more of a POP. - His patch to our garage window saved us HUNDREDS of dollars. Our original solution was to replace the windows, a fix we were putting off until we had saved enough money. He creatively found a way to replace the rotting wood and buy us at least another two or three years of use before replacing the windows. - He fixed our doors so they would shut properly, again saving us about a hundred dollars in material and preparation costs. Stan went above and beyond in is handyman work for our house. His work was exemplery, and his advice was great. That means a tremendous amount to my family. We have finally found a handyman company we can genuinely trust. We are military. We move frequently. This is our home, leaving it to the care of renters means we must have a local handyman to handle those little emergencies that always crop up with a home. We've found our handyman company in Moss's Home Services. They have definitely earned our repeat business. Oh, and Stan is the man with the master plan!

We started the project in Nov 2013 and completed in late May 2014. The design process and county approval took until early Feb 2014. The project started in late February and was delayed a bit due to weather. Our project manager, Brandon Sarina, was terrific and helped ensure we knew what was happening with every stage of the project. He also helped with any questions or minor adjustments we needed to make along the way. He was always quick to respond and extremely helpful and proactive. Our construction team was terrific. Andrew (foreman), Joe and Alex were on this job the entire time and are extremely skilled. They worked well together, and they were also extremely attentive and went out of their way to answer questions. They kept the work site very clean during the project, which made living in a construction zone easier for us. Overall, we are thrilled with the finished product.

Everything was great. He was very nice, professional, and he stayed for the full eight hours.

We decided to contact Moss to do part of the finishing of our basement. We had used them to redo the kitchen and were every pleased with the results. Rob Miller was our project manager for the current work and the primary workmen included the "alpha" team of Blake Borker -electrician, Frank Stone -plumber, and Jeremy Meador -carpenter. (Additional staff was used for some of the work). We were impressed with the professionalism of the workmen throughout the project. Rob informed us when specific tasks were scheduled. He promptly provided additional materials that were needed so the work could stay on schedule. The team gave explanations and/or advice when there was a choice of where or how something was to be placed. Adjustments were willingly made as needed. In addition, Blake took the time to assured me that he "had my back" when I would asks about the hows and whys of the work. Outlets were place for current use and for future possibilities. Frank gave us information that saved us the cost of replacing the kitchen faucet as well as repositioning and adding the pipes for the bath. Jeremy suggested that a wall to the basement be opened more and we are very happy with the results. At the end of each day, the staff left the floor swept and materials stacked. Everyone who came to work proved to be courteous and willing to take the time to make sure that they had done what we wanted. It was also assuring that Rob let us know that if we noticed anything that needed attention, they would send a someone to address the issue.

Michael and all Moss employees arrived on time and proceeded to evaluate needed repairs. All repairs done to great satisfaction. Area cleaned well and left to excellent shape.

My service was fantastic!! Moss Home Services called the day after I purchased my deal from Angie's List and scheduled the 8 hour handyman for a day service on a day that was most convenient to me. They talked to me for about 15 minutes to make sure they understood the nature of my projects to send out just the right handyman. Brian Walker was my handyman for the day, and he was fantastic. I had quite a long list, and Brian knocked out every single thing on my list ranging from front door painting to recaulking bathrooms to other small jobs. He was fantastic.....and the quality of his work was very good! I have tried a number of other handyman services, only to be left disappointed. Today was a breath of fresh air. I would absolutely use Moss Home Services again!!! Very, very pleased.

All went well. Ramell and Sonny arrived as scheduled to provide estimate. They inspected roof, took photos, and gave me a summary of problems and solutions. Estimate was received from Moss and the work was scheduled. The same two persons arrived on time and proceded to do the job. When finished they described what they had done to replace shingles, and flashing around the skylights, and replace damaged wood decking between skylights, they replaced boots on two vents and secured the flanges. All appears to be successful.

The service turned out okay; it's the billing that I had issues with. We paid an additional $300. They were terrible resolving my problem. Their business and billing practices were not good. Their work was excellent. They were on time but two of them came later. It's the workers themselves that I would give a good grade to but the company itself and how it handled everything I wouldn't give a good grade to.

The work was done in a timely and professional manner. The workman cleaned up after himself and left a detailed note explaining what he had done.

I contacted this service provider because of the reviews on Angie's List. It took them 3 weeks to come out and give an estimate for some woodpecker damage to the siding on my home. I also asked for an estimate on cleaning and resealing my deck. The deck estimate was ridiculously high ($900), but the siding damage was reasonable($270), When they sent me the paperwork to hire them, it had the deck estimate in it. I asked them to resend just the siding estimate, as I wanted to use them for that job only. Upon waiting two days, I emailed again, and called twice after that. They never got back to me at all. I would never use a company that you have to beg to call them back.

Our house flooded over the christmas period, the same week we were scheduled to move in. No stress there !!!..... So we joined Angies list and began the hunt for service providers. Right from the start Moss were very supportive, Marty came out and surveyed the damage. Marty was very prompt and efficient with helping us deal with the insurance company (of which we had never experienced before). Once all the paperwork was finalized and a schedule agreed, my husband and I decided we would like some extra work done, again not a problem. Michelle made it happen. We were very fortunate that we were given the 'A Team' to work with, John Jenkins, John Jenkins III & Dave Sharp, no matter what we wanted, changed, added or tweeked they worked with us, and I do have to say I am high maintenance when it comes to having work done at my home. I have never used the same contractor twice because the work is never to a high enough standard. We did have a couple translation problems when it came to the final finishing but I think that was as much my fault as anyone else (English to American English translation ! Who knew a 'skirting board' was called a baseboard'!? ) The 'A Team' went above and beyond my expectations and have already been recommended to a good friend. I will definitely have them back to do our next project,

Yet to use their services, except having them come out to provide an estimate, which we have now received.

We worked with Moss and our project manager Brandon to design an economical alternative to gutting our 6'x12' original 1930s bathroom that allowed us to only replace the things that needed it and up-cycle those we could. We had three major elements to our project: install ceiling light and vent fan; reglaze enameled cast iron corner tub and replace valves and fixtures; and replace cast-iron wall mount sink. We added on a number of honey-do tasks that were not getting honey-done, including installing a subway tile backsplash in a not-so-recently remodeled kitchen and laying a new bathroom floor. Brandon and his team were fantastic in counseling us as we made our selections on various finishes and modified our plans. In fact, his efforts ultimately resulted in significant savings without costing us in quality (and in several case improving the outcome). The quality of the work was outstanding. Craftsmen were skilled, clean and very professional. In particular, the tile work was exceptional. Jim did a fantastic job working around an existing radiator we decided not to pull (it's hidden by a cover). Nevertheless, he spent considerable time cutting small pieces to hide the edge (without us having to ask). The team also responded very quickly and professionally to feedback. Like any job, there will be touch-ups. I found a few after the project was mostly done but was favorably surprised to hear from Brandon asking if there were any issues before I reached out to him. The issues were fixed in a matter of days. Finally, the team was very flexible in working within our timeframes. With a new baby in the house, we had to move our start date on several occasions. The team was more than cooperative and worked to find a time that worked. All in all, this was one of the best experiences I've had in working with contractors in years. I am greatly appreciative to MHS' staff (especially Brandon) for their guidance and patience, and will definitely look to them in the future.

I'm happy I found this company to take care of all the little tasks I've needed done but wasn't handy enough to do. I had a long list of tasks such as installing a ceiling fan, hanging curtains and paintings, insulating my front door, assembling a wall bookcase, and many plumbing-related tasks. Their guys are very professional and pleasant, especially Stan Stevens, who worked constantly without taking any breaks.. I'm very pleased that everything was accomplished so well and I will definitely continue to use Moss for all of my home repair needs.

It went very well. They were a great company and I did not have any issues. They were on time with everything. I would use them again.

All of the correspondence was extremely professional. Even though I went with a different contractor, Moss was very nice to speak with and I would definitely look into them again should another house project arise simply because they were very professional to speak with over the phone.
