The team at Moss impressed from the first meeting. Ben Jackson, our project manager, was responsive, thoughtful, experienced, professional, and extremely friendly. He managed the project from start to finish and there was not a single hiccup. Every individual who came in to do work on our kitchen, from demolition, to painting, to counter-tops, electrical, was similarly excellent. Moss came in at budget and on-time. We were also challenged by the fact that my wife was expecting and we wanted to avoid any unnecessary dust during this time period. Ben's team put up what I could only describe as an oxygen tent to keep dust from settled around our house - and they did their level best to maintain an extremely clean work space. We had an outstanding experience with Moss and would not hesitate to use them again, or to recommend them to any / all neighbors looking for a dependable, respectable, trustworthy, and cost-effective contractor.

Moss was very professional, start to finish. Fully understanding and cooperative of all needs and issues. I've already recommended them to some neighbors and they've followed through to have them do their jobs.

The quality of Moss's service is excellent. Where they really fall short is 1) Communicating with customers and 2) Staying on schedule. We had the renovations just stop all of a sudden with no warning or contact. Turns out someone was supposed to show up and never did. Well, OK, they sent a guy to do some make-up work on the weekend, so that helped. I think they may need to re-evaluate the subcontractors they use, as I think a major problem is the communications between the Moss project manager and the subcontractors breaks down or doesn't happen as it should. They did beautiful work, I will say that. But I can't say I'd recommend them or that I'd hire them again.

Very well. The end product was an improvement from the original work. Stan is very professional and is well versed in his craft. Would recommend using Stan & Moss in the future!

It was perfect. Everything was done cleanly and professionally. He even spent time to talk to me about building codes, circuit overloading and proper quality checks for my electrical wiring for an older home. I could not be any happier about the work that was performed.

Wonderful. Very professional and experienced plumber. He arrived at the set time, was very thorough, listened to our questions and explained problems. He didn't rush to get a job done, but was genuinely interested in doing good quality work. We felt we were in very good hands and would ask for him again in the future.

We had a couple of issues that needed investigation. A pinhole plumbing leak that ended up requiring a new pipe installation and some drywall work after the fact. Additionally we had a door that didn't fit quite right in the frame. The leak repair was a quick and easy repair, the technician was in and out in under an hour. He offered advice on how the leak came to exist (acidic water) and what we might do to prevent more issues in the future. The follow on drywall work and the door frame issue were done by a very experienced professional who was kind enough to walk me through every step of the things he was doing and even offered to do some extra drywall patching that was necessary. I appreciated having someone willing to walk me through his job so that I might learn how to approach issues myself in the future. Scheduling for the two trips was pretty simple and was done via phone and through email. I would recommend Moss to anyone needed small jobs done around the house. Great service and very affordable.

Moss sent out a very knowledgeable handyman. Stan arrived on time and got right to work. I walked him around the house and gave him my list (29 items large and small). At the end of the day, he had all but three items done, and those needed parts, had helped me on a few personal projects I was working on, and had given me suggestions of Items that needed some work that he had noticed. The suggestions were greatly appreciated because he was right! I will definitely contact Moss in the future...in fact, I already have for a roof repair and am considering interior painting.

Prompt, efficient, clean, excellent job. Removed old garage ceiling fixtures for which the wires were not hidden in the accessible attic space, and installed 5 new fixtures hiding the wires in the attic. Installed two new toggle switches where none had been to control new lighting in one closet and in the utility room.

The repair and sanding took 1 day and they brought in a 2nd handyman for a quick assist on getting the patch on the ceiling. Even without painting it looks like it was never damaged - smooth and sturdy. Great work.

Overall, it went well. There was some concerns with level of the mess left in the yard. They cleaned up but a tornado occurred during the time they were working. When we complained to them about the mess, they didn't respond.

They did a great job. They are very professional. They do good quality work. I highly recommend them.

We recently hired Moss Building and Design to do some renovations to our home. The entire Moss team from the initial consultation with Justin to our project manager Brian, and Customer Care Representative Kristen were amazing! We renovated all areas of our entire home and lived onsite while the work was being done, while planning a wedding. We couldn’t have made it through all this without the strong project management and customer service skills Brian brought to the project. He was very transparent in the process, kept constant communication, and insured the work kept moving in a timely manner without compromising quality. We would not hesitate to recommend Brian and the Moss Team, and look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

It turned out real well I think he did work we had on the refrigerator leak through the floor down in the basement so had a guy come out here and he did some re plaster the ceiling. He had to cut it out re patch it re plaster it sand it and paint it. Very good price I could see doing he did it in one day I could see doing the work myself it would never be worth it.

They listened to our thoughts and ideas and they made everything come together. All we had was an ugly basement with beams and wires hanging everywhere. They made suggestions of lighting. They did everything they said they were going to do, there's is a bedroom and a bathroom also built in the basement, plus a laundry room. There were support posts for the overhead beam, they built shelving and enclosures so instead of some ugly beams now there are shelving with enclosures. Later on when we remodel our kitchen and master bath, we will be calling them again. We are using them now where they are converting the powder room into a full bath and also converting my office into a bedroom for my 98 year old mother n law.

We are very pleased with the outcome of the project and Moss was pleasure to work with from start to finish. Their project manager who was assigned to us was knowledgable, attentive and responsive. On the rare occasions when we had a concern, Moss listened and took immediate action to rectify matters. The quality of work was very good, whether performed by Moss' own employees or their highly qualified subcontractors. The project duration took longer than anticipated, however, Moss always kept us informed. Moss did not present us with any additional cost claims, however we (the Owner) initiated 3 change orders. In summary, Moss met or exceeded all of our expectations. We are very happy with the finished project and I am very comfortable recommending their services to future customers.

The quality of the work was good; however, construction started later than planned and the 3 month timeline became 8 months, making it nearly unbearable. The delays did not occur due to problems with construction, but due to the fact that a good 50% of the time, there was nobody working on my house. It took a good six months from the time that we signed the contract to complete design and permits and begin working on the house. For the first six weeks, it wasn't too bad. They were constructing the foundation outside and there was little disruption inside. Even at this point, they were very slow. I never got any explanation or warning that there wouldn't be workers available or that the project was delayed. I always had to follow up regarding timelines without much of any response and never an apology for the delays. In the end, I had no bedroom for about 6 months and no kitchen for 5. Pretty intolerable. They sub-contact the flooring and painting. The flooring contractor was not great. Some of the floors had to be redone due to poor workmanship. This only accounted for about a week and half of delay. The finish on the floor is poor and started to show scuffing and wear immediately. The painters did a great job, but their estimate provided no details for the scope of work and they tried to change the price in the middle. There were a few things that needed to be addressed after project completion, and they were very attentive to that. It even involved removing a pocket door that would not stay open after the initial installation. These things were scheduled and completed promptly.

Great - Stan was on time and knocked out a bunch of odd jobs we had around the house. He was honest about certain items outside of his expertise. He was on time (early actually) , professional, and did a great job.

Moss's expert drywall/paint technician, Jaime, repaired this in one day. His careful work and attention to detail really show, as it’s now impossible to tell where the damage occurred. Jaime was punctual, courteous and professional, with a very pleasant demeanor. It is such a joy to work with a company that values and recognizes such top quality skills and traits.

Moss did a great job and made everything so easy. I called their main number, told them what I wanted done and they scheduled the technicians (in my case, an electrician and a general handyman). The best part, aside from a job well done, is that the technicians showed up ON TIME. After working with many contractors over the years that provide long windows of time for when they should arrive and then still show up extremely late (or not at all), I really appreciate the punctuality as well as the honesty and professionalism of Moss' technicians. I would both recommend the company and use them again.

Moss sent a master carpenter who had experience with many types of situations. He expertly removed the microwave from its precarious position and placed in on the counter. He inspected the bottom of the upper cabinet and saw that the screws had sheared through the bottom, which had to be totally rebuilt to support the microwave. He rebuilt the bottom, anchoring the back of the cabinet to the wall studs, and made the space microwave-ready - all without damaging the rest of the cabinet and completely invisible when the cabinet is closed. When he went to attach the microwave, he learned that one of the microwave's mounting nuts was broken, and required a qualified appliance repair person before the microwave could be installed. He completely cleaned up the wall and his work site and put the microwave on a tarp that we could slide out of the way while waiting for an appliance repair person to help with the rest of the repair. He explained everything and offered to talk to an appliance repair person to get the process started. He was efficient, thorough, and clear in his explanation.

The job went very well. Dana Moss (Customer Manager) was very helpful and responsive. She answered all of my questions. Brain, the tech, was prompt (early even) and got right to work. His work was excellent, especially on the shower. It was not an easy job, and he did beautiful work. I would recommend Moss wholeheartedly, and I would also use their services again in the future.

It was a full days work... the worker paced himself properly and completed all tasks... it went very well.
