We recently had Exterior Works remove our old wooden deck and replace it with a slightly larger Trex deck. Arafat Shadid, the company owner, and his team did an excellent job for us. They showed up when they said they would, worked very diligently over the course of a week and finished when they said they would. All required county permits were pulled and they helped with our HOA paperwork by ensuring we had the correct County plat document. They were the best price of the three estimates we received and actually finished the job for slightly less than their estimate. Arafat ensured we discussed exactly how we wanted the deck to look and was always available if I had a question. I would definitely consider hiring them if you need a new deck.

I had the best experience with Arafat Shadid and Exterior Works! I was recommended by my Real Estate agent to this company, and I am so glad I called. I had already completed 5 estimates via facebook recommendations, google searches, etc. and i did not find anyone that I felt was giving me the value and service I would expect for this type of project until I met Arafat. The the day he came to meet me for an estimate we hit it off! He was so knowledgeable, polite, punctual, and safe (covid) that i felt instantly comfortable. His estimate was the most reasonable for what I wanted done and he was upfront about what was NEEDED and what I could choose to add or subtract. Then he spent another 30 minutes or more going over every color option, detail for railing type, roofing options, etc. From the moment I reviewed his detailed written estimate I knew I was going to pick them. Then it came time to actually tear down the old deck and start the new project. Arafat and his team showed every day before 7am and worked their tails off! They are no nonsense hard working people. They got the project done 7 days earlier than expected, even with the all rain we had this past summer. I must note that my project was a tear down, expanded new trex deck and screen in porch build, so it was a big job! To finish 7 days early and totally on budget, I was elated! Arafat even came back out when I had a small leak in the porch roof about a week later. It took him hours to figure out the issue, but never gave up. Then he identified it was a preexisting siding issue, so I was concerned I needed to find a siding company but he fix it for us anyway! Talk about service above and beyond! We love our new space and Exterior Works made it all happen. I cannot stress enough the quality of work you will get with this company if you choose them for your project!

We definitely recommend Exterior Works! Mr. Shadid is a very hands-on owner from working with us on the design of our new deck, to submission of the application to our HOA, to obtaining the county building permit, and actually constructing and supervising the deck with his his own crew. Mr. Shadid is very knowledgeable, honest, friendly, customer-oriented, professional, prompt, and his workmanship is superb. Exterior Works built our new Trex deck in only 1-week (start to finish once the permit was obtained) and for less than what other contractors had quoted. The result is a beautiful deck that we absolutely love! Mr. Shadid is busy from excellent work, his honesty, his professionalism, very reasonable pricing, and word of mouth from lots of satisfied customers (including us); not from advertising. Other contractors had estimated it would have taken them 4 to 5 weeks to complete the work and tries to "nickel and dime" us for everything in their quotes and depend on glossy advertisements. Exterior Works (Mr. Arafat Shadid) is awesome! We are so glad that we found him and chose him build our deck for us.

Mr. Shadid was wonderful to work with. He responded promptly to all questions. He handled the permit application efficiently. He is very proactive and that results in a project that goes smoothly with no surprises or delays. In addition to putting a new deck on my house, Mr. Shadid also replaced my dilapidated fence. Both deck and fence are exactly what I wanted and more (he improved on my fence to let the gate swing outward so that it no longer interferes with the mulch in my backyard). From the first phone call through the completion of our deck, Mr. Arafat Shadid was extremely responsive to our questions and needs while leading a crew that wasn't just amazingly rapid but also master craftsmen. He and his crew exceeded our highest expectations by building our beautiful second floor townhouse deck not only for $1400 less than another company quoted us but by completing the 5-day build in 1 �� days. I couldn�t be happier. Mr. Arafat Shadid was working hard along with his crews from start to finish building our deck. He went above and beyond my expectation. He is one of those detail-oriented individuals who are able to accomplish the work as promised. I would recommend Exterior Works with the utmost respect and encouragement.

From the first meeting to project end, our contractor was very attentive and polite. He followed our wishes and work along side his crew to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. He built for us a 12'x17' low maintenance deck on the back of our Belmont Country Club home. We can see the golf fairway and green behind our house, but because of the mature trees, the golfers can barely see us. Friends stop by to see our new deck which was completed in just three beautiful Fall days. A couple of neighbors will be looking to install or replace decks with our guy, Arafat Shadid. Additionally, for some reasons we had to make 3-4 major changes to our original plan and Mr. Arafat accepted them without any hesitation. He is an exceptional contractor to have. Exterior Works did an excellent job of replacing our porch and steps using Azec material. THe job was completed in less than two days and looks great! Their price was competitive and the resulting work was well worth the value. Arafat was very friendly and customer oriented, would not even take a penny until the customer was happy and the job was totally finished! Highly recommended for deck, fence or porch work.

What can you say about perfection, except that it is PERFECT! We highly recommend this contractor; he did a GREAT job. Our new deck and railing is beautiful. This company is very easy to work with.
