Chris Brown came to install ceiling fans in two bedrooms of my townhouse. He did a fabulous job. He arrived on time and left the bedrooms he was working in spotless. He was polite, friendly, and his prices are very reasonable. I would recommend his services to anyone who is looking for an honest family owned contractor.

We recently used RL Brown to do a set of projects. I cannot speak more highly of Mr. Brown and his work. He has been incredibly professional and friendly in our dealings, he is punctual and communicates well, and the jobs look and work great!

We had used Mr. Brown a couple of years ago and were impressed with him then so when we lost power in two of our rooms over the weekend, we gave him a call. He made the offer to come immediately but we told him Monday would be soon enough. He arrived first thing Monday morning and was fully prepared to take on the myriad services we needed/wanted him to address. He adeptly proceeded to address each issue in short order. He is very knowledgeable, skilled and personable, and we would definitely hire him again. We highly recommend his services to others.

It took more then a week to schedule the call, but Ron explained they already had committed to several other projects and needed to honor those commitments. This is a 2-man operation, so I understood. Ron called back about a week later to say that one of the jobs had to be delayed due to the rainy weather, so he thought he would have a window within which he could complete my indoor project. He showed up as scheduled at about noon and stayed until the work was completed at 6:00 pm. The task was a challenge because the ceilings are very high in places. Ron did a great job, especially in ensuring that the 3 fixtures in one area were hung at the same height. I thought the cost was more than reasonable for the work he did.

Mr. Brown is our and quot;go to manand quot; for any electrical issues. We had been discussing and he spent some time researching options for our basement lighting situation in which vibrations from upstairs were causing our recessed lighting bulbs to blow out prematurely. He located a source for and quot;rough dutyand quot; bulbs that seem to have solved that problem since installation. Also, he finally solved the problem of our motion sensor light not working for many, many months. Mr. Brown has always been courteous, direct and honest with us in regard to the work to be done, our options (what is truly necessary and not), and always gives what we perceive to be a very fair price. Again, more excellent work from him! :-)

We would highly recommend Chris. He is prompt, skilled, honest, professional and courteous. Chris is a top-notch electrician and has always gone out of his way to ensure that he does an excellent job for a resonable cost. We will continue to use him for all of our electrical needs.

This was second time I'd hired Mr. Brown, who is a very sweet-natured and professional man. I first found him highly rated in the Washington Checkbook. He came the Monday after I called him Friday night due to an emergency from an upstairs water leak. I believe he called later that evening to set up an appointment for Monday between 12 and 4. Needless to say, he is very prompt and responsive. Friday, he promised to call before he came. On Monday, he called @ 3:20 to say he'd be arriving in 20 minutes. I had a list of things for him to do, and he was able to complete them all within about 2 hours. I even remembered more as the appointment went on, and he was very willing to take a look at everything. He honored $15 discount from a Christmas card his company sent me almost a year ago. He is very professional and highly knowledgeable having been in this field for awhile. In all, I was very pleased with Ron and will definitely hire him for all my electrical needs in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work! I highly recommend him.

Chris Brown determined that we had simply not tightened the fuse in its socket enough. He apologized for having to charge for a service call. While he was here, though, I had him do an estimate for other work. So all was not lost. I have worked with Chris' father in the past, too. They are both excellent!

When he came for the quote, he spent time considering how to do the job right. I had told him about future plans for the area to be serviced, so he took that into consideration to find the best possible solution. (Other companies I had interviewed didn't do that, it was just a job to them. Guess that's the difference between dealing with an employee vs. an owner.)
He got half the job done a week early because he was able to squeeze it into his schedule. Due to a county snafu (a non-electrical permit was needed that the county didn't tell me about) he had to come back a week later to finish, but that wasn't his fault.
The job was done in a timely fashion and didn't exceed the quote.
Nice guy, experienced, and will use again in the future.

Mr. Brown's work and professionalism is excellent as always - he has been our "go to" electrician since we read about him years ago. He installed some badly need recessed lighting in our dark basement and took great care to ensure that the lights were installed in an aesthetically-pleasing symmetrical configuration. The process included removing an old ceiling light fixture, capping off a ceiling fan light. He also ran a new outlet/power source for a home business. He started the job on time and did a marvelous job cleaning up the work area at the end of each day (it took three days) and completed the job on time. We will continue to call Mr. Brown for any electrical-related needs.

They installed a switch for it as well. All three times we worked with them has been good. They call you back in a timely manner. Orices are fair. The work is excellent. We have had both the father and the son out. They are nice and fair for what they charge. They don't try to sell you on work that isn't necessary.

To say that both Ron Brown and his son, Chris Brown, are very competent would be a great understatement. They are definitely masterful electricians, but in addition, are neat, tidy, and have an eye for making things work and look like they should after work is done. They carefully plan out their work, making sure they have everything needed, and that it meets the requirements and expectations of those who have hired them. They are a pleasure to have around the home, because they make sure not to do any inadvertent damage or leave any residual debris. They also worked with us to be sure we understood all our options, as well as the relative prices we would be likely to pay for various alternatives. I doubt I will ever have any electrical work done by anyone else as long as they are available.
