JES Foundation Repair

JES came in and did a wonderful job getting our basement water tight. It was a real peace of mind having them do the work. We now can use our basement without worrying if there will be any issues. They warranty it for the life of the house. Will recommend them again to anyone.

Went well. Prompt response. Tech (forget his name, but very knowledgeable and friendly) strongly recommended dehumidifier (which they can assist with) and said no need for exterior excavation and waterproofing of below grade foundation. I need to finish basement renovation and then will likely contact JES again about their dehumidifier products. 5 thumbs up for JES!

Very well - they showed up on time and were very friendly yet professional. Explained the process as they worked and answered all my probing technical questions (cause I am curious). Would hire again if the need ever arose.

The task was performed exactly as they described, and performed perfectly! It leveled the concrete stairs going to my basement with only a hint of what was done to the concrete steps. I have recommended this process to my neighbors since then, and will continue to do so! JES Foundation Repair saved us from a tremendous amount of repair work! Thank you!

We were very happy with JES, they were professional and punctual. I would however not recommend their subcontractor for drywall repair after JES work. They were rude, did not show up on time and never even introduced themselves. So in conclusion: loved JES, but get your own drywall repair contractor.

Excellent work. Fast response to RFQ, promptly scheduled, on site crew made fast work of it. They jacked up the concrete front step that had settled away from the front porch deck, then adjusted sidewalk panels to meet it and gradually ramp downwards. This work was definitely worth what I paid for it, and I would hire them again anytime I needed foundation or concrete help like this.

not sure we would hire again. issues with communication between sales person and work crew. also issues with finance office. when work was done it was of good quality but there were many "bumps in the road"

When the work crew showed up, I asked if the posts needed to be moved the lead man said no.. I had a crew on stand by. After some more time they said tgey were finished. He told me there was a five year warranty, so they would fix the porch. I called the salesman. And he said they would send someone to complete the job. No one called to make the job complete. Then I called again, another gentleman can Me by, took pictures and assured me someone would call and make arrangements to complete the job. Again, no one called or showed up. Needless to say JES Foundation does not do what they say what they will do.

100 year old house with additions in the 50s and 60s created complex foundation. Three visits to conduct engineering design. JES did good job explaining every step in the solution. Crew did a great job. Clean up was thorough.

A wonderful experience! The crew was on time, professional, kept us up to date on a daily basis and even went out of their way to fix areas that were not part of the original contract. Cesar, the crew manager was extra special and Chris, the overseer of the project could not have been more generous with his time. He always made himself available, listened to our concerns and followed through on our requests. Easier than I imagined. After the initial consultation they kept in touch with us via email and phone and communicated every next step prior to implementation They took care of all of the county paperwork too. The project itself took 5 days and the foreman was very informative and answered every question and took precautions with our windows and HVAC unit. They even worked through the rain and afterwards they cleaned everything up.

Great! They had to come back out twice because the weight of the slab kept sinking but they never gave me a hard time about it and they were able to find a solution.

Swimmingly. I had originally called to have the level of my addition trued up...the adviser recommended replacing my 4 older jack posts with new version, and that even though these Jack Posts were over 10 years old, that the work would be covered under warranty. I have been a JES customer for roughly 15 years (or longer), they have been to my house a number of times, and every time they have performed flawlessly in terms of the quality of work, the professionalism, as well as the cost.

Joe Campbell, the JES engineer who diagnosed the problem, was extremely helpful in telling us what we were facing and what our options were to address the problem. He worked with us to keep costs down. The crew the did the work was specialized and expert in doing this job, easy to work with and happy to explain/consult along the way, and careful with the final cleanup. As always, the JES company provided a lifetime guarantee on the work - if there is any problem with the waterproofing system they installed, they will fix it at no cost.

After an earthquake and a few years of drenching rains, our house had settled out of alignment by almost an inch. JES installed a push pier system in our basement to prevent any further settling. Our 6-month measurement indicates no further settling. Our JES engineer diagnosed our problem and clearly and patiently explained how to prevent further settling with the push pier system. He returned to answer questioned when we needed him. The workers were efficient, hard-working, knowledgeable and careful. After 9 months, measurement shows that after going down 164 feet with the push piers to hit bedrock, our foundation has not budged. JES has given us a lifetime guarantee so if there ever is movement, they will fix it at no cost. This was an expensive process, but JES was a great company to work with.

It was a big project, requiring jackhammering out a portion of the basement floor and putting in a french drain and sump pump. The crew was professional, very hardworking and kept the mess to a minimum. The crew lifting the pavement were very skilled and patient in answering our many questions about the process. Everyone did a great job and we appreciate all their help in solving our flooding problems. We would personally like to thank everyone involved; Demetrius (supervisor), James S. , Freddy, Ahmed F., Edwin B., Vince G. and Sinclair. Howard G. the field inspector promptly returned all of our calls and was very helpful in answering all of our questions.

Horrible experience. I received my first quote in the fall of 2016. A week later someone else came by and revised it to make it much more expensive. Then I disappeared down the rabbit hole and nobody could give me the revised plans or schedule time for the work for months. Plans were then altered at the last minute before work began at the start of 2017 (and conveniently hid a third wall of drainage that was completely unnecessary). Proprietary drains which were part of the selling point suddenly couldn't be used, but the price never changed. Then the work was so shoddy in drilling the drain that the entire basement floor needed to be replaced, work was incomplete, and it took months to complete the outside drain for the sump pump. The concrete subcontractor hired by JES was likewise horrible; they never put anything BEHIND the new retaining wall, so my a/c unit now sits at an angle, well below the top of the wall. In addition, when I got a new door for the basement, I had to spend an extra $1700 for another contractor to re-pour the base so it could be installed. Then, to cap it all off, within two months of the project being "finished," my sewage line backed up into my basement. After spending thousands to get it cleaned/drained, the sewage pipe backed up again the following year. This time, the plumber noted that I had concrete in the pipe leading from my house. I now have to spend thousands more to dig out the old pipe and replace it. NEVER use this company. They charged me $20K, and I've had thousands of additional costs since then.

I just called to get an estimate. The home inspector found a couple things that needed repair on a home we will be closing on within the next 10 days. Marita Harvey answered the phone and immediately after me saying that she said "I can't even talk to you if you don't even own your home." Unbelievably rude. *** is wrong with these people.

Normally I wouldn’t deal with any company lacking an overall A rating, but I took a chance based on a friend’s experience. Huge mistake. I knew I was in trouble when the JES rep arrived and, rather than ask to see the affected area, wanted to know if there was somewhere we could sit and talk. Huh? The guy proceeded to spend three hours—no exaggeration—in my house. During that time he did an “inspection” which led him to determine the entire house was sitting in a pool of water and would be underwater without $23,000 in repairs. And only JES could do the work because everyone else is an untrustworthy cowboy. After a PowerPoint presentation and a strong arm approach that would make a used car dealer blush, I told him he had to go. I even thought I’d have to call the police to remove him. When he finally left, I noticed his card identified him as an “inspector” rather than the engineer he claimed to be. So I Googled him and discovered he’s a motivational speaker by trade who specializes in—wait for it—increasing sales. Just an overall horrible experience and utter waste of time. As for the house, I suspected a window well problem from the start, which JES scoffed at, but an A rated company later confirmed. They spelled out what needed to be done and said a handyman could do it.
