M.C. Fence and Deck

Let me start by saying I am still waiting for them to follow through with their commitment of their one year warranty, a year later. After making multiple attempts to contact them I finally received is scheduled date for them to come and inspect the issues. 3 scheduled appointments ALL 3 were no call/ no show. On the 4th attempt they finally showed, he assured me that these things were covered under the warranty. Almost a year later I still do not have a scheduled appointment for them to come and fix the issues. The problems during installation, 1st they cut 7" into a tree trunk to run the fence. Damaging the tree so badly I will have to pay to have it removed. When putting in a post they smashed a concrete curb surrounding the pool. They attempted to fix but broke right off within 2 months. Some of the post caps were not attached. The top rail was supposed to be screwed down not nailed. Now there is massive warping of the board. A removable panel was in the contract but never installed. The latch on the gate was screwed into nails, causing the wood to split and the latch won't stay on.

I called the provider today (day of the appointment) to confirm. The person who I spoke with informed me that they failed to log in my number and name . She also told me that they were shorthanded and unable to complete the assessment today. I informed her that I have already scheduled time off of work to complete this and other fence estimates. The person's tone indicated an "I do not care attitude" whether you go with us or not. Their error and manner they treated me today will led me to select another provider.

We were impressed with KC and Mike's professionalism through the experience. The guys worked really hard all day not really stopping at all. We were happy with Jose on walking us around the fence line and going over the work. Definitely would recommend , great quality.

The team at MC was super helpful at every step from price estimates to design to the installation. We encountered significant snow which through a wrinkle in the schedule but MC responded and did their best to accommodate getting the fence in as soon as the weather allowed. I would use them again.

KC and Mike were both great. This is a family owned and operated business and they do not outsource labor. All workers were long-term employees who receive benefits including worker's comp. My initial phone call was handled professionally by Amy and KC came out at the agreed upon time to walk the property with me and get info so that he could get me a quote. Within minutes of leaving our home, I received a follow-up email from KC thanking me for the opportunity to come out and that he would email me a quote the following morning. The quote arrived as promised and we contracted them to replace our existing fence with a new one. We scheduled a date and the installation went without any problems. I would absolutely use them again.

MC Fence was outstanding and a pleasure to do business with. We received 3 estimates for the project and they were very competitively priced. We worked with KC who was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very responsive. We were given a through proposal within a day or so and the crew came out a week later as promised. Jose and his crew who performed the work with great, and did a fantastic job!!! We are extremely pleased with the workmanship and professionalism. I would strongly recommend MC Fence, a great family business and they care about their product/service!! Don't go with anyone else!

We had an amazing experience with MC Fence. They were very quick to respond to our inquiry and set up an estimate for Monday. Jeff came out and worked with us to design the area for our fence (our property lines are very weird) and gave us a list of products. When he gave us the quote, the price was so reasonable that we wrote a check on the spot. The company was able to order the material in two days (!) and installed the fence on Thursday. Jeff came out personally the day of the installation to make sure the crew knew where the lines were and to troubleshoot. This was very helpful, because we ended up altering the line of the fence to avoid a tree. The crew did great and very quick work, and we now have a beautiful fence that was exactly what I was looking for. Highly professional company and I would recommend them without hesitation.

I needed to add to my existing fence and contacts 8 contractors / received 5 quotes for the job. Service from MC Fence was amazing from start to finish: - Melissa contacted me right away after I filled out the form on their website to setup an appointment. - Sales guy (KC) was punctual and friendly. I got the quote just an hour after he concluded his site visit. On a side note, I am French and saw KC on 11/13/2015 to quote the work. After the horrific Paris attacks that evening, he immediately reached out to me to check if my friends and family were safe. Not necessary from a business standpoint but definitely helped move the needle toward these guys. - Price was much better than the other 4 quotes I received! They came in more than 10% lower than all the others. As far as work was concerned, no complaints. The style perfectly matches the existing fence. They were FAST and completed the whole thing in a day. Fence and posts are straight, gates are beautiful and hardware they use on the gates is very good quality.

Free estimate, on time service with quality work. Jeff met the crew onsite to be sure they did everything right and Melissa in the office was great about keeping me updated ! It's rare to find such nice customer service where you know you have met good people! I would recommend.

Mike and crew were great! They were on time, professional and pricing on point. We met with multiple contractors to get an estimate and the majority either never showed up, never replied or prices were insane. Don't even bother with other companies. Just call MC Fence. Highly recommend!

MC Fence provided the requested price quote, Scheduled our installation within a week. The workers showed up on time, worked hard, were professional, and courteous. We got a good price on the fence. The office staff Amy and Melissa were very helpful. The fence is great quality. If you have any concerns you can discuss them with MC Fence and they will do what it takes to make you happy with the finished product. This is the second time we've used MC Fence at two different properties to install a 6 foot fence for us and we've been very pleased both times. Our first fence went in February 1, 2015 at 5108 Mt. Vernon Memorial Hwy, Alexandria, VA. Our second property's fence went up November 11, 2015 at 7218 Wickford Drive, Alexandria, VA. If you are looking for a reliable company with a good product and solid work ethic that will make the customer happy this is the company to call. Thanks MC Fence.

Someone from MC Fence called me within minutes of me completing the online estimate request and scheduled a meeting with KC the next day. Other fence companies never got back to me, showed up at the wrong time or didn't spend much time discussing their service with me. We were initially looking to have only a wood fence installed, but our discussion led me to also ask about an alternative to the temporary fence we were using to keep our dog to one portion of the yard as she had figured out how to escape it. KC's solution was much better quality than the materials we were considering purchasing from a hardware store, yet close in price -- plus we wouldn't have to install it ourselves. While the wood fence was straight-forward, the placement of the aluminum fence was a bit more aesthetically challenging. KC and his team took the time to show me my options to ensure that I'd be happy with the location. Everything turned out great. The neighbor behind us also commented how nice the wood fence looked from her side and how professional and clean the installers were.

It went great. They came and started promptly and finished in a timely fashion. A bit of a mix up on the gates, but they are coming back to put the correct ones on. We had this exact fence in Kansas for 10 years and loved it (no maintenance at all) and we were thrilled this fence company provided this brand of fence. Dogs are in heaven now that they can run around the yard!

I requested an estimate for deck repair. A man named KC came out and gave me the estimate. He was prompt and seemed nice. I called later to request a revision in the estimate based on additional work. KC told me he would send me the revised estimate immediately. Never heard from him. I then decided I would go with the original estimate and called to schedule a date. KC scheduled a date for me. He told me that he would clean up the estimate to clarify the scope of work and that he would send it to me by the end of the day. Never heard from him. The day before the scheduled repair, he called to cancel the repair. I contacted him by e-mail and said another day would be fine, but that I still needed the revised estimate first. He said AGAIN that he would send it to me immediately. NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. While I was informed that the company no longer did deck repair, I was told that they still had a deck crew to finish out the current contracts. I find it EXTREMELY unprofessional to keep telling me that an estimate would be provided right away and then fail to follow through. One time might be understandable, but multiple times!? Obviously, I did not retain them to do the work because it did not seem to me that they could be trusted. If they didn't want to do the work, then should have been honest up front and simply said so. This hedging and evasiveness is something I have never encountered in my personal experience with businesses that are trustworthy and professional.

I spoke with KC in early Oct about coming out to give me an estimate and his professional opinion on replacing my decaying board-on-board fence and accompanying 4" x 4" posts. He scheduled me within a week and arrived on time and eager to hear what I was envisioning. We discussed the durability, costs and esthetics of pressure treated and cedar board-on-board fencing. After about 20 minutes of brainstorming KC wrote up estimates for each option - both within reason and my expectations given the respective materials - and let me know he had availability for installation later the following week if I was interested. I let KC know I would need some time to coordinate with my neighbor about our shared portion of the fence and he said there's no rush given the quote would be honored for 30 days. KC coordinated the installation with me and work commenced on schedule three business days later. His crew cleaned up my yard as if it were their own and couldn't have been more professional. Their attention to detail is evident in their work, and I?m very pleased how everything turned out. KC was great to work with, listened to my ideas, thoroughly answered all my questions, and showed me numerous pictures of the two options. In just the first week after the project was completed two neighbors and a friend commented how great the fence looked and inquired about the company that did the job. So just go with MC Fence and Deck, you won't regret it.

MC Fence Manager, Jeff Gardner, is a pleasure to work with. He is always prompt, courteous and extremely professional. He did a great job in explaining my options. The work crew arrived promptly on the scheduled time. Crew chief Jose and his men also were very polite and professional. They worked very efficiently and did an excellent job. Highly recommend MC Fence.

The installers arrived later than planned, but this only made them faster during the day. The demo was accomplished nearly on-time and the overall installation, to include some changes in the gate configuration, was right on time and done around 1800 hours. I took three bids for this work and not only was MC Fencing the cheapest, but i was the most flexible in providing solutions for some idiosyncracies of the yard. The work was better than expected and a superb deal.

They came out within 3 days of my first call, were very professional and courteous. They explained all of my options in detail and priced out 6 different choices so we could best decide what was best for us. They then installed the fence 3 business days later. It's beautiful and exactly how described. The gentleman who came to give us an estimate was on the job site for installation. Would recommend to anyone wanting a good quality fence from a professional company.

Everything went as smooth as could be. Jarrod was easy to deal with, from start to finish. The crew arrived on time. They worked throughout the day and the finished product looks great. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for prompt service and a great price. Check around, they have the best prices you're going to find.

9.30.15 Update: Must give credit to the MC Fence team and am updating my review originally submitted back in April. They took immediate and proactive action based on my original review. I was contacted by email and by phone to apologize and to see if they could still offer service. The VP came out to the house. He was punctual, professional and spent a good deal of time talking me through options. He wrote me a price quote on the spot and followed up with pictures and reference in my community. The cost of service is very competitive. Pleased all the way around and will update this review again once work has been completed. The reason that I'm giving a less than satisfactory grade for this provider is because after many attempts to make an appointment to get an estimate, no one showed. It's so very frustrating trying to find a reputable and dependable service provider. Just when you think you've got one to experience a no show/no call is disappointing. I thought they were going to be great given the other glowing reviews. Maybe they just got too busy but this homeowner is not pleased. If they are non-communicative about an appointment how reliable are they going to be with the project and/or the timeline for that project?

Overall the job was done as requested. The work crew showed up promptly, work efficiently and generally did what we asked. I did, however, ask to have a gate installed on the other side of my deck to prevent our puppy from escaping there and they forgot about this request. It took them about a week and a half, if I recall, to provide this for us which made the fenced in yard useless without a child gate. They offered to pressure wash and stain the fence for an additional cost which we did not do. Since that time, the fence has weathered just fine and appears to be solid and installed level. Because of some settling the double door gate has shifted a little and does not close very well. The black hardware has not weathered well, faded quite a bit and will require another paint job. The small gate that was installed on the deck has been the most problematic, but that is partly our fault. We asked them to build this as a temporary fix until we could come up with a more permanent solution (which we have not done yet.) This small gate has never closed properly and the hardware keeps coming off. Despite these minor problems I felt they did a pretty good job and asked them to come out recently to give us another quote on a major landscaping project. Jared showed up yesterday to discuss this with me. He was professional and had some helpful feedback about the project. He will be emailing me a quote soon.

I've worked with lots of great companies, but this one is one of the best. Very punctual, professional, and nice. I was able to schedule the work the same day I got the estimate (this was the last of several estimates). I got a call the day before telling me when to expect the crew and they arrived on time. The crew hit a pipe on the sprinkler system, and were very patient while help arrived to turn off the water. They were able to repair the pipe on the spot, so I didn't have the extra cost of that repair. The fence looks better than I even expected. I am very happy with the entire experience!

Mike and his crew did an outstanding and incredibly efficient job installing our fence. We were very pleased with Mike's professionalism and timeliness in surveying the property, providing several estimates based on a range of styles, and then completing the entire job in a day. The workers arrived right as I headed out to work and were just cleaning up when I got back at the end of the day. The fence was made with high-end material, and they even took care of some drainage issues for us. I couldn't recommend MC Fence and Deck any more. This is THE company to work with.

The best thing (besides the price) was they gave an estimate on the spot and delivered the fence within 2 weeks of contracting. They forgot a couple caps so had to come back the next day but was very professional and I would use them again.

I recommend MC fence to my friends and I will contact them if I need in the future.
