We are 100% pleased with the work done by Mendez Painting Services. Mr. Mendez was extremely responsive and helpful. Donis worked very hard throughout the job and barely took a break. He is a skillful painter and the cabinets look magnificent. We also appreciate the care he took in covering the floor and cleaning up afterward. If I could award A+ in every category, I would.

The service was excellent from beginning to end. Mr. Mendez responded very quickly to our request for a quote. We asked to schedule the painting as soon as possible and he agreed. The painters arrived on time and worked efficiently. Upon completion, we noticed two areas which needed a touch up and Mr. Mendez himself came the next morning to resolve the matter to our satisfaction. He and his employees were very courteous and we will definitely hire him again in the future. We highly recommend his painting company!

I would hire from this company in a heartbeat. The owner, Mr. Mendez was very responsive and flexible in working with me to find the right date to start the work. I am near the end of renovating a distressed property which meant that start dates changed a few times. He got two really terrific painters there exactly on the date that I needed. They did a great job and worked hard and fast. I was impressed that they got so much done and so well. There was great care in preparation with masking tape and covering things with plastic sheath. They sanded the ceiling and walls first and even did a few drywall repairs needed to make the job the best it could be. The ceiling and walls look great! This has been the best money I have spent on the renovation so far! I will use them again on my own property when I need painting or drywall repair.

Mendez Painting is excellent!!! They were punctual, professional, tidy, and pleasant. After the first day, it rained for three days so they could not paint. The very next clear day Mr. Mendez sent a double crew so they could finish the job that day! They did so beautifully!

We purchased his 'deal' of $999 for 40 hours of painting. Dioceses showed up on time, presented himself well and his company. We supplied the paint. His crew came out the 1st day and spent 8 hours on prep work. The 2nd day a crew of 3 came out and painted the remaining hours but didn't finish. We visited the house to inspect the work and saw numerous missed spots, paint on the carpet, dust all over the hardwoods, and they had taken numerous items that weren't theirs. Diomedes informed me we were out of hours and it would take another 30 to complete the job. We couldn't afford to buy 30 hours so I asked him to just refund us the materials taken and he agreed. We did get a partial refund but are disappointed with the transaction as he really is a nice guy.

The owner is very professional, and offered a good price for all the painting required. And, as friendly and hard working as his crew was, they were not always so careful. Only when the owner was back on site did they make all the corrections in paint color, clean up, etc. that I pointed out. In the end, the owner ensured everything was completed to my satisfaction.

We were anxious to seal and stain the cedar wood deck and screened porch completed last November but then we were inundated with cold and snow. Mr. Mendez began work promptly in March as soon as we had a warmer day. He shoveled the snow off the deck to power wash it. The next day he arrived with his team and they spent all day, completing the job the next morning. The work of all of them was meticulous. They are polite, careful, prompt, and do beautiful work.

The grasscloth had been on the wall for over 30 years, so I was concerned that it would be difficult to remove and that the process could leave the wall pitted. However, the finished wall looks great and is barely in need of spackle - and what little is needed will be done when they return to paint other rooms. Diomedes and Bernardo were professional, easy to work with, efficient and did excellent work. They also did a good job cleaning up and get extra credit for not complaining, or even mentioning, that the area they worked in was quite cool - it's in the basement and difficult to heat!

I had a small job and called Mr. Mendez (I have used him for larger jobs in the past). Although he was out of the country he arranged for Harry to come and do the work. Harry and his partner did a great job and I was so pleased. I really like working with Mr. Mendez and I will continue to use him for all my future drywall repair and painting needs.

It went pretty well. The only negative part of the experience was that the man Mr Mendes had working in my house had to come back on Saturday to paint the room, and though he finished everything early afternoon, the man was left waiting in my driveway without a ride. I had to call the contractor a couple of times to come get the guy and to make sure he wasn't forgotten because it was cold outside and he was still waiting for his ride when we came back from running errands a few hours later. I didn't think it was right to leave one's employee waiting in the cold for a ride for 3 hours. The man wouldn't come back inside, claiming that the ride was coming soon. Had I known that the man would have been waiting so long i would have had my husband drive him to Metro to help get him home. Otherwise everything went well and the work was done quickly and professionally.

I told the company that my wife works from home on Fridays and they never responded offering to come on a Friday to see the work that needed to be done.

It went very well. They painted and patched several areas through out our house.

Diomedes was punctual and professional when offering me an assessment and quote for the job. He and another member of his crew were available the next day to repair and paint my wall. They arrived on time (early in fact) and completed the job in just 4 hours. He has been painting for over 17 years and it looks great! They took care to cover my furniture, were very careful moving delicate things around and placed everything back in its place before leaving. I would absolutely recommend them and use them again.

Diomedes Mendez came to the house, scoped out the work, and had two men show up who painted our basement apartment which included a fair amount of detail. In addition, his employees also painted the small hallway and the stairs leading up to the side door. The work was performed in a day and was well done. Everything that needed it was covered so they left no mess. They showed up promptly and did the work as advertised, going beyond the call and working a little extra. The apartment looks great.

The men in Diomedes Mendez's firm put in roughly 50 hours of work and did exactly what I requested. I have a wooden house, 1925, that has continuous paint issues. Diomedes came to the house at our set time, we reviewed the exterior of the house carefully, and when he returned with his employees, we repeated the process so we were all on the same page. Rotten wood and trim was replaced in several areas, and the trim, including some unpainted wood. All of it was fixed. It was a trouble-shooting exercise which is what the house needed. They painted basement window frames and 2nd story window frames, the soffets near the gutters, whatever needed attention. Fixed a lot of neglected issues and worked in between uncooperative weather days. Good solid work, I was quite pleased with the result.

The work was purchased via an Angie's List Deal, so the value was exceptional. The work was well done and quick. I have no issues with the work at all. There were some issues related to communication, primarily driven by language differences. As a result, I was not fully prepared with the supplies the workers needed when they arrived that morning...luckily I was able to scramble a bit and pick up those supplies at a local hardware store before they were done prepping the area and thus not slowing them down. The worker spent two days on the project and moved very quickly. Good effort was taken to mask off and protect my possessions in the room and the worker was neat and tidy as he came in and out of the house and with the room. All in all, was very pleased. The owner came personally at the beginning to get the project started and spoke with me by phone before the worker left on the last day to make sure I was satisfied. Having stared at the water damaged areas for years, it is wonderful to have the room looking good again and refreshed with a fresh paint job after 20 years.

Good job. I had great difficulty communicating with him…once we got things straight, all went very well. It will be much easier if the buyer is fluent in Spanish. This is not a detraction, just an observation of how to make things go easier. I will use him again.

Work was done very well. Painter actually pressure washed the front porch and siding as well.

Mr. Mendez did an outstanding job! He has an excellent crew and are experts in their field. This was a major project and I am extremely happy with the end result.

The work was outstanding. I had trouble scheduling because the weather. The clean up was good. Everything was pleasant.

It did not go well. They gave us the hourly rate. They didn't finish on the first day. I asked the painter who spoke limited English if they were going to charge me more and he said no. But when the owner came out they said they were going to charge me.

It went well. My home is very refreshed. They were very flexible. They were able to adjust their schedule due to the weather. It was cold one day and then rainy one day. It took a couple of weeks to finish. Their price is more than competitive. They did a good job.
