Detail Art Inc

I have my car serviced one block over from Detail Art, Inc.'s location. One day while driving home from service I needed to make a U-Turn, and did so by driving down a side street. That's when I saw the contact information for Detail Art on the back window of a van. My car was very dirty, and I was looking for a new place to have my car detailed as I moved away from where my previous detailer was located. I took a picture of the information with my phone and looked up their website. I found a lot of pictures on their site of some very clean interiors of various types of cars, some quite expensive. They were very convincing. Prices were listed for various levels of work, and the price for a full detail, plus headlight restoration, was very reasonable, in my opinion. I wanted to find somewhere convenient to have my car cared for on a consistent basis, and so I decided to take a chance. I called up Detail Art Inc. a week later and talked with Wilson - who I found was very friendly and patient - and made an appointment.
The next morning, I had some trouble finding the location, and I called Wilson. He patiently told me exactly how to find the place and talked me in. I drove my car up, got out, and we talked for a bit. I told him the level of service I wanted, along with the headlight restoration, and pointed out some especially dirty trouble spots. He explained it would be a 4-6 hour affair for all of the work - which was the top-of-the-line detailing service. I told Wilson he could keep the car all day if required, as I had to go to work. Then he conveniently dropped me off at the metro.
I got a call from Wilson a little after 4:00pm, letting me know my car was finished. I told him I couldn't leave work until 5:00pm, and asked if he could pick me up from the metro at about 5:30. He said that was no problem. After work I took the metro to the stop closest to his shop, and he picked me up. We drove back to Detail Art and reviewed his work. He did an EXCELLENT job. Having gotten used to how dirty my car was, inside and out, I was really not ready to see how clean my car could be! the exterior had a mirror-like shine, the interior was spotless, and the real surprise was when I opened the hood to look at the engine bay - which was GORGEOUS. It's not often one looks at the engine bay, but WOW, I might just look at it more often! More importantly though, was the interior, the trunk, the trouble spots, etc. All were just amazing. He explained that I should leave my windows open a crack overnight to help dry out carpet, which was still a little damp. One issue, though, was I had specifically pointed out to clean the inside of the wheels. He had completely overlooked this part, and when my wheels are dirty, it's very obvious to me because my previous detailer always made certain to clean them thoroughly. Wilson apologized profusely and without hesitation gave me 10% off the full price - which was quite substantial considering he was giving me 10% off of the headlight restoration, too! At that point I had already made up my mind I would be using Detail Art in the future, so I suggested that he purchase proper wheel brushes - he said he did all of his cleaning by hand with sponges and towels - and make sure he takes care of it next time. I also gave him a 20% tip which, along with the 10% discount, is not reflected in my "Approximate cost of service" above, since my car was EXTREMELY dirty (I still don't understand how detailing places charge by level of service, as opposed to how dirty the car is??) and everything else was so clean I felt he deserved it. I absolutely plan to use Detail Art again, because the price, quality of service, convenience, and the fact that Wilson genuinely wished to make me satisfied, all make the overall value absolutely worth it. I highly recommend Detail Art.
