Tunch was punctual for every appointment he had with me. He was very professional and pleasant. He measured my "old" kitchen and he listened to my ideas for my remodel. He made a few suggestions and he drew up a floor plan which was right on point. I selected my cabinets from a sample he brought with him on his first visit. He has a huge showroom in Alexandria. In our only visit to his showroom, my sister and I selected the granite for the counter top, porcelain floor tiles, back splash, sink, and faucet, within one hour. Tunch made helpful suggestions every step of the way. He estimated the remodel would take between five and six weeks. It was completed shortly before the fifth week. Tunch kept in constant contact with me through the entire process. The construction crew removed the wall between my kitchen and dining room, which of course opened up the space and allowed a lot of natural light to come in. At my request, the 1975 circuit breaker panel was replaced. They put track lighting in the ceiling, which is one of my favorite things about the kitchen. The cabinets are semi-custom made and positively beautiful. There is a peninsula, which provides me with a good deal of extra counter top space. The cabinets, which reach the ceiling, the deep drawers and large Lazy Susan allow me to have a tremendous amount of extra storage space. I have two sets of service-for-twelve china, with an incredible amount of serving pieces and a set of service-for-eight china with many serving pieces. All of the china fits in my cabinets as well as the many items most people have in a well stocked kitchen. I am very pleased with the results of the remodel and I would say the construction crew did an excellent job. I would hire this company again. (I gave Tunch some ideas about how I would like my bathroom remodeled. And, of course, he had some helpful suggestions for me to think about.)

The very best thing about this company is their honesty. This company consistently does what they have promised that they will do and does it well. All remodeling projects have that moment where you, the owner, walk into the room and identify a problem - or at least a problem for you. I did not lose sleep during this remodel because I knew, whatever it was, Tunch would fix it - and would do so without renegotiating the contract or giving me a lot of hassle. This company's estimates may seem more expensive than their competitors but that is because they do a better job of understanding the work upfront - so that you don't end up with additional charges at higher rates once the work has started. They do the very best tile work that I have ever seen - they are true craftsmen in this area. I wanted to provide an update to this review because the chandelier that I ordered from a designer did not arrive while Tunch's team was working on my bathroom. Tunch told me that when the chandelier did arrive, he would install it and recaulk the tub area if it was needed. When the chandelier arrived, all I needed to do was email Tunch. He took care of everything right away.

Tunch arrived to perform an estimate on a Saturday morning, and did a seemingly thorough job - asking questions, offering suggestions, so on. We shared that our absolute maximum budget was $60,000. He said that was realistic and doable. We really liked him. So, we waited for an estimate, really thinking we found our guy and the contractor search had ended. About a week later we received the proposal and it was $62,000, not including appliances. Knowing that appliances will cost about $10,000, we were not prepared to move forward with the project costing more than $70,000. Disappointing. I emailed Tunch back, reiterating that the cost was out of our price range and never heard back. Apparently he was not interested in working with us to come to an agreeable number. Oh well...the search continues.

In the two times I have worked with Tunch I have never had a problem. Here are some highlights: 1. He has really good design ideas which has made it easy for my wife and I who don't have a lot of time to find exactly what we want. We can go to his showroom find things we like while also having him guide us. We were able to pick out all materials in less than 2 hours. 2. His price quotes always tend to be the cheapest. I have compared and he is better by far. He gets a great deal on the raw materials which makes his quotes very competitive. 3. He has a great team of skilled workers that allows him to move quickly. They do good quality work and they deliver on their promises. 4. Every project has a few unanticipated events. For example,we found wrotting wood etc. A lot of contractors try to price gouge you when these items are found. Tunch is very reasonable about this these things. I will continue to use Tunch and I advise you to do the same.

Let me first start out by saying that I really wanted to give this company and the owner, Tunch, a good rating-especially since it appears he has a perfect rating thus far. I was so encouraged and excited to have felt like I had found the company for my project-especially after interviewing many contractors and being so tired of the what I have come to understand being the typical contractor behavior of not returning calls or being given such an outrageous quote that it was a waste of time to follow up or try and negotiate further. I did what every homeowner would do and look over the company?s website and was very encouraged by the pricing I not only saw on the website to replace a bathroom (on the low end from $6,000 to about $15,000 for what they call the ?gold package? which is advertised to include all fixtures, plumbing, materials, demo and installation). This was to be so far from the truth that I can?t even imagine how Tunch has been able to maintain a perfect rating! I contacted this company to essentially rebuild my 6 x 10 bathroom in a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom row house that was built in 1929. I had, by this time, understood what needed to be done and what I wanted done. The bathroom needed to be brought down to the studs (which I knew was going to be more expensive than the typical demo of fixtures) with all plumbing moved to accommodate a new and better layout. I needed an exhaust fan, new floor, tile, wainscoting, drywall, lighting, medicine cabinet and faucets and electrical to accommodate the new lighting fixtures and exhaust. I needed drywall replaced in the kitchen ceiling since that was going to be removed in order to install the new plumbing. I was prepared to buy the lighting, faucets, and vessel sinks-outside the price quoted since I had already picked out what I had wanted. I was retaining my tub, toilet and had a newly purchased vanity. Tunch arrived on time, was very respectful and quickly determined, at least I thought, that this was a project that he and his team could complete. Very encouraging indeed! I followed up a couple days later to determine if Tunch received what I thought was a draft scope of work explaining the above and he informed me that he was working on the quote. A week goes by, and I still do not hear from him. I call and he says that he already emailed the quote. This was not the case because I had been looking for it every day for a week. He shortly emails me the quote and I open the quote only to CHOKE on the quote that he had the nerve to submit. I will admit that I am a new homeowner but I made it a point to understand the entire process through endless hours of asking questions of other, more seasoned homeowners and those that have renovation know-how. Nothing could have prepared me for the joke of a quote that Tunch submitted. Not only did he just ?cut and paste? my scope of work that I submitted to him, which included labor and material, but he also added in two additional lines that said, ?materials and labor?. I had to take a few hours to calm down before I emailed him asking if he made an error in the quote price. The quote (47K) was more than double the most expensive quote I had gotten thus far and was so far from anything on his website that I wouldn?t trust any work project that comes from this company! It was truly the most unbelievable and insulting moment that I have had thus far in trying to renovate my small bathroom! Tunch further added insult to injury by saying in his response to my email that ?this price is obviously out of your price range?, and ?it would take my team 6-7 weeks to complete.? Who does he think he is?? If he didn?t want the job he should have said so and been respectful and straightforward from the beginning. My recommendation is if you are considering this company like all contractors, do your homework! If it seems unreasonable, it probably is. This is my first review of Angie?s List contractors that I felt so strongly had to be heard if for no other reason than you think twice about hiring a company like this one just because they have a near perfect rating! Update to my review: This contractor is misleading in his response to my review. I never told him that other contractors didn't know how to handle the project. The one and only contractor that I was going to hire did not have a license and I was working with him in order for him to get it, but, in the end, he decided not to do the job without the license because he didn't do enough work in DC in order to make it profitable for his company. The fact that Tunch emailed me (he knew it had been my review) after I put this review on Angie's list and made some angry comments, including a direct quote, "I hope you lose more than I do", just shows that he and his company are just not the company I would ever want to give my business to. And, yes, I have serious doubts about Tunch's professionalism based on his unbelievable quote and even more now after that email.

Tunc is extremely knowledgeable and couldn't be more helpful. He is calm and so professional. He listens well. He has an amazing eye. He'll give you as much or as little advice as you'd like. He doesn't push, and he gives you as much time as you need. His patience is amazing. The men who work for him are excellent. They are extremely punctual, knowledgeable and hard working. There is definitely no "lolly gagging. My bathroom was completed in 3 days. The men work neatly and always clean up after themselves. The craftsmanship was outstanding. Every single tile was laid perfectly. Border work was exceptional. Vanity was placed well and granite was affixed perfectly. Faucets, lighting fixtures, hardware... perfect. At one point I lost internet and cable. I called Tunc and he and the electrician were at my house in less than 30 minutes. It was only a GFI. The point is Tunc cares. He treats a client as he would a family member.

I highly recommend the Ultimate Remodel. Tunch (owner) was a pleasure to work with and made sure that the entire experience went smoothly. Tunch assisted us every step of the way, helping to come up with a workable plan and with selection of materials. He was available and accessible throughout the process, responding immediately to any questions or concerns that arose. In addition, Tunch has a very nice, calm demeanor, making him a joy to work with. His team is also great - they worked quickly, kept the mess to a minimum, and were very respectful of our busy work schedules, keeping us advised every step of the way regarding the project. We completely renovated the kitchen. The new layout is amazing, and the granite countertops, cabinets and tile are high quality and look beautiful. We were clear about our budget and were able to complete the project at a price that was very agreeable. Again, I would highly recommend this company and would use them again for other projects in my home.

I cannot say enough great things about this company's work at my house. Not only was their work of the highest caliber, but they were also EXTREMELY professional throughout the process. My house is kept extremely clean and staff throughout the process kept their work very clean and professional, which was a HUGE plus for my wife. They put down covering from outside to the upstairs bathroom every day and each day cleaned up completely, so that in the end, there was absolutely no additional cleaning needed. Beyond the professionalism and cleanliness, I found Ultimate Remodel's materials to be of the highest caliber, yet their price was litarally 1/3rd of the cost of the three other estimates that I received for the same project. Tunch and his team were patient and accommodating throughout the process. In the end, the outcome was outstanding, the price was far lower than competitors and the entire project exceeded our expectations. I highly, highly recommend them and will use them for any future projects that I have in my house.

.For this kitchen remodeling the contractor furnished high quality materials during the various stages of the execution of this project (plumbing, tiling, flooring, electrical, painting and cabinets in particular), leading to the ultimate goal; a first class renovation. The skilled workers were very professional and respectful of the surroundings (covering floor and furniture with plastic sheeting, if need be). The contractor stays in touch with you while the work is in progress and remains accessible at all times. When you first meet with the owner of Ultimate Remodel and explain what type of work you 'have in mind' (his scope of work goes beyond bathrooms and kitchens) and how much you wish to invest, he will readily give you a factual and honest plan. He is a source of good suggestions and recommendations based on his years of expertise, all, without bearing any pressure on your ultimate decision. The contract submitted for your signature is very detailed, the duration of the work is not only written down but executed within the limits stipulated in the contract. I would definitely recommend Ultimate Remodel.

We highly recommend Ultimate Remodel and its principle owner Tunch Aydo. Tunch is very easy to work with. He has great ideas, but he also listened closely to what we wanted. What emerged from our bathroom remodel was a perfect blend of his recommendations, taking into account what we were trying to accomplish. We couldn?t be more pleased with the finished product. There are several important points to consider in evaluating our experience. First, we wanted to keep the costs down, but we also wanted to create an upscale look. Tunch recommended marble and plumbing selections that worked beautifully. In this regard, we had selected Crèma Marfil marble, which presented beautifully in the show room, but Tunch warned us that recently he had very disappointing results from this marble, finding that even in the same lot, there were large variations in the color and grain of the tiles and this made him wary of how the final product would look. We accepted his view, went with Diana Royale and were very grateful we did. Although not continuously on the site, Tunch is always available and on a few specific occasions, dropped what he was doing to rush over to the job to supervise issues we wanted to raise. One had to do with the design of the marble inlay, and the other had to do with the kind of drain his men had installed in the shower. On both occasions, Tunch promptly addressed our concerns. His men are reliable, pleasant and careful. They took great care to keep disruption and construction dust and dirt to a minimum. We appreciated that. In sum, Tunch came in on budget, on time, and the final job was far more beautiful than we imagined it would be.

It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Ultimate Remodel. Tunc was very respsonsive from the start of the design process through the final installation. He returned emails within a day and frequently sent them answering questions before we asked. He has a lot of experience and made practical recommendations - such as talking us out of a two tiered counter because it would not work with the placement of our window. He adjusted the start of installation to work around our plans for the Fourth of July. We had to remodel the kitchen because of a mold issue. Tunc was very patient working through the process that took over six months and he handled all our questions and modifications quickly. The install team was very professional and hard working providing high quality work. They had to do extra things due to the mold issue such as replace wallboard, replace subfloor, add insulation and other things. The install team also installed some old cabinets in the laundry room, a new lighting fixture and added dimmer switches and additional outlets that were not part of the original statement of work. For all these extras, we were only charged for materials and not labor. There was no nickel and diming although charges could easily have been added. We were very very close to the original budget and we are very grateful. We are proud of our amazing new kitchen and owe a lot to the Ultimate Remodel team and Tunc.

Tunch (the owner) and his crew were extremely professional and completed the kitchen on time and on budget. Tunch was also very helpful with layout hints and suggestions. I am planning on using Ultimate Remodel again. I am also recommending Ultimate Remodel to friends. This was a very smooth experience.

Plan and simple, these guys are the best at what they do. Before we started working with Tunch, we did a market survey and got few offers from other contractors. Tunch's approach to client relationship and his professionalism was refreshing compared to other contracts. He returned his quote along with a 3D design to us on time as he promised. He answered all of our questions with clarity during our initial discussions as well as through out the work. Once we signed the contract, he and his team were there everyday until the job got done. He provided daily updates to us on the progress of the job. He got all the permits needed and worked with the inspectors to make sure everything was up to code. The pricing was the most reasonable offer we got for all the work that was done. We are very happy with the quality of work that was performed. We are already planning our next project with him.

I can't say enough good things about this company and its owner, Tunch, as well as all his crew. From the start of our first remodels 3.5 years ago, Tunch worked with us every step of the way, walking us through the process and using his great sense of design and color to help us make the right choices. Even when we changed our minds on the color or style of something, he was able to accommodate us, never losing his smile or becoming impatient. His showroom is huge with a virtual one stop shopping experience and he was there with as much time as we needed to look at our options and put together cabinets, countertops and tile that would work with our ideas. When there were items we wanted to purchase ourselves such as decorative mirrors & light fixtures, Tunch was always willing to work with us to advise us on quality and style. His crew is really nice and easy to work with. They are also very neat and careful - always being sure our outside doors were closed so our cat could not get out. I didn't hesitate to leave them in my home when I couldn't be there. When the time came to redo the kitchen, we didn't even consider any other company but Ultimate Remodel to do the job. Again, the price was great and the choices many. Tunch was able to give us about 20% to 25% more storage space without changing the footprint of the kitchen by replacing some cabinets with drawers (so much better) and reconfiguring the layout and size of the cabinets. When it came time to redo our remaining three bathrooms, we decided on a smaller budget since those bathrooms are not frequently used. Once again, Tunch was able to give us the look we wanted within our budget without sacrificing style, quality or workmanship. Each project started and ended on time with minimum disruption or mess. No detail was too small to be overlooked and any issues we had were addressed immediately and cheerfully. I would definitely nominate this company for a special service award.

Ultimate Remodel did an outstanding job renovating our bathroom. Tunch is a true professional. They performed the work as scheduled and they exceeded our expectations. The tile work is perfect and our bathroom came out amazing. Several of our friends saw the bathroom and they were amazed with the workmanship. They plan to use Ultimate Remodel for their remodeling needs. My wife and I are truly some of the most demanding consumers there are. If they can satisfy us, then you can bank your money on them. They will exceed your expectations!!!

Tunc and his crew are awesome. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Their work turned out beautiful, was done quickly, and so far appears to be holding up as very high quality. He gave me a much better price than several other 'A' rated contractors on Angies List. More importantly, he was a true professional throughout the whole process, willing to give me his honest opinion about my renovation plans. As soon as I told him that my plan was to sell the place in 4-5 years, he started offering me ideas and strategies to get the most out of my money. At no point did he nickle and dime me or go beyond our agreed-upon budget. There is no doubt in my mind that Tunc would be the first person who I call if I decided to do more work on the apartment. I wouldn't even consider going with someone else.

Updating our old kitchen couldn?t have been easier. The entire Ultimate Remodel team was helpful, responsive and professional throughout the process from design advice to installation without any pressure tactics or hidden costs. It wasn?t a huge job but Tunc and his team treated me like their most important customer. The demolition was fast and they cleaned the worksite daily so we could stay in the house while they did the work. The price was the most reasonable of the offers I had and it came in on budget even though the job was harder than originally planned. The finished project turned out beautifully. Ultimate Remodel delivered what they promised. Overall a terrific experience.

This company goes the extra mile to make sure that you end up with the room that you hoped for. They just don't do what you ask - they help you figure out what it is you really want and then they build it. We knew on the very first day that this project was going to go smoothly. When we came home the first day, the stairway was covered with plastic and everything that had been hung on the walls had been carefully removed and stored. All the materials for the entire project were stored in our garage and clearly (and correctly) labeled. We were also pleased with the quality of the materials that we had not specifically selected - such as the cement board. The entire job was completed in a week. I can't say enough about the quality of the work. They quickly responded to any questions or concerns that I had along the way. In fact, when we decided to purchase a Pottery Barn cabinet instead of a stock cabinet, Tunch stopped by that day to ensure that the console would fit so that I could place the order. Nothing was left to chance! I should also note that our floor tile was fairly expensive and accounts for a good portion of the price. We have been looking for a company that we could trust and now that we have one, we plan to use them for much bigger projects.

I cannot say enough about the satisfaction that we have had working with Tunch and the crew at Ultimate Remodel! My wife and I started the process of interviewing contractors to perform our upgrade back in early March. We went through a total of six contractors before deciding to go with Ultimate Remodel. The problem with all the other contractors is that they quoted us nearly twice as much as we paid Ultimate Remodel. Angie's List only allows so many characters during the reviews, so I've highlighted the main points of my fantastic experience with this company. 1) Efficient, Efficient, and Efficient!! The project only took 2-3 weeks. They waited until all materials were in to start the renovation. There was almost no time where someone wasn't here performing work. 2) Budget Focused and Honest!! When Tunch came back with our quote, we were pleasantly surprised with the overall price. I appreciated how he understood that we focused on a budget and would let us know how if we were going over that budget. 3) Creative and Understanding - We did not give a ton of direction on tile patterns or placement of fixtures. They included us and asked as they performed the work if we liked certain positions. 4) Professional - They covered up everything to avoid dust and issues with our master bedroom furniture. They removed photos from the wall we missed. Some contractors would overlook this. 5) We had a horrible experience last year with contractors. We feel like this experience redeemed our faith in contractors. We will definately use them again....possibly for a kitchen remodel :)

We were impressed how quick the estimate was submitted. Price was a little higher than the competitor we have chosen.

The installation was not done well from the beginning. The hardwood should have been able to rest/acclamate and they didn't allow it to. They started installing 3 days after delivering materials and did not open boxes to let it acclamate to the home. There were gaps in between boards and some were serverely raised up. After talking to another company they told us why the problems were happening with the wood. The service provider refused to fix the flooring when we confronted him. We ended up having to take him to court to have the situation rectified.

Tunch came out originally to give us an estimate for remodeling the hall bathroom, but we had him come out a second time to give us an all-inclusive quote for the drywall and tiling as well, as another contractor had failed to show twice to complete the drywall work. Tunch's price was very reasonable for the amount of work being done, and combined with his glowing Angie's List reviews, convinced us to use his company. Work started the next week and was completed within a week and a half. The workers showed up every day on time or even early, and worked full days. They were very accommodating for us, as we had purchased all the aesthetic components of the bathroom and the tile for the backsplashes ourselves. The work is quality and the finished areas look great! There was a project manager here at least once a day, checking up on the work and answering any questions we had. We are so happy with this company's work that we are scheduling more work with them. I highly recommend Ultimate Remodel. UPDATE: Well unfortunately we have been unable to use this company for further work. We requested a quote for another bathroom remodel and the owner was out of the country, so we did the remodel ourselves. We recently asked for a quote to hang drywall and were told that they don't do that - they only do bathrooms and kitchens. Maybe the company focus has changed, but we assumed the drywall would be no problem since they hung drywall in our laundry room in a very professional manner just last year. Looking at this company's recent reviews, it seems that they are all for high $ amounts - maybe our job was too small. The work these guys did when they came out was done professionally, it all still looks great and the price was great. I would still recommend them for your work - if they will do your work.

Everything went really smoothly. Working with Tunc was great, very responsive and he had great suggestions. The team doing the work was great, they were careful coming into the house, putting down plastic and such to protect floors, they were prompt and worked hard all day. They did a great job with the tile work, beautiful tile and granite counter. All in all the majority of the work took about a week, with the shower door coming 2 weeks later. Would definitely hire again and recommend to others.

Killer good. On-time, on-budget and gorgeous. His craftsmen had an incredible attention to detail. They came on time each day and left, but only after cleaning up so that we could use our house each day. The end product looks like a $65,000 job. It is that good and it feels like our kitchen is 100 percent bigger, although the actual increase in useable space is probably 25 percent. The cupboard space did increase by 50 percent and they are gorgeous, not cheap stuff. We are redoing our stupid Pergo floors on the lower level soon and I will only call Tunch and Ultimate Remodel. Best contractor we have ever had and we have had 11 homes in our 26 year marriage. (And you know how remodels can kill a marriage!)

This project was one of the best experiences we have ever encountered, beginning with meeting Tunch (Owner Ultimate Remodel)` ` to its completion. During our first conversation, I was immediately impressed with Tunch and relieved to know this monumental task (in my eyes) would be done with minimal interruption and in a time frame that could not be imagined. Every aspect of this project was seamless. The workers were always punctual and professional, making us aware of their arrival time and what would be done each day. We were fortunate to have a Project Manager who was very professional, conscientous and personable. Tunch and his Project Manager made every effort to make sure that we were kept abreast of every aspect of the project. They were very responsive and available when needed. Not only did Ultimate Remodel perform a fantastic job, they completed the project on time and on budget. We are so completely satisfied and impressed with the quality of work and the overall experience, that we are currently planning our next project to be done by Ultimate Remodel. We have and will continue to recommend Tunch and his company, Ultimate Remodel, to any and everyone who might inquire about our project and or his company.
