Response from Clean Air Inc
I've actually dealt with a Mr. [Member Name Removed] and he was very happy with prior work we did in his home. The second time he called us for a simply dryer vent cleaning. I showed up on time. He introduced himself as Mr. [Member Name Removed]. I called him Sir as force of habit and out of respect. He became very angry and told me that he will give me one more chance to call him by his last name instead of Sir or he will give me a bad rating on Angie's List. After being yelled at because I called him Sir (force of habit) I decided that it would be better not to do anymore work for him. I didn't feel that calling him Sir was being disrespectful, however, I found it disrespectful for him to raise his voice and even found it quite intimidating because of his tone of voice and due to how loud and outraged he became. I simply walked away, as he followed me to my van yelling continuously saying he was going to ruin us by leaving a bad review on here and anywhere possible. I just got in my van and left. I also tell my technicians if they are ever yelled at or threatened, it's just better to walk away from the situation to avoid any further issues. We have to be extremely careful and stay safe out there. Safety is always 1st. This response is written about 4 years later to raise awareness for contractors. We seem to be at the mercy of some people who treat us very poorly because of the power of a false review. 99% of customers are amazing. however, there are always some who try to ruin our reputations which are earned through hard work and dedication to our customers and our trades.
