A-1 Garage Door

Charles arrived on time to give me an estimate for installation of a new opener. The price was great and he did not try to sell me anything extra. As he had time to install it right then, we moved forward. He worked efficiently to mount the opener, and tightened/adjusted the existing rails, springs etc. The new wiring is neatly done. A very professional job! He even helped me to set up the HomeLink connection with my car. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

It was very easy to schedule an appointment without too long of a wait. We reviewed my options for a new opener before the work was scheduled so we knew what would be installed. Charles arrived as promised, and was very courteous and efficient in installing a new garage door opener and numerical keypad. I have used A-1 Garage Door before, and I was very happy with their service once again - and I will continue to use them for our garage door and opener needs.

Everything went well. Serviceman checked his work and picked up after himself. He honored the coupon purchased through AL. The garage door opens and closes much more smoothly now.

We were actually please when the technician arrived for the service. However getting the appointment was beyond belief. After I purchased the service I waited a week with no word. When I finally called them to schedule I was told they sent an email (there was no email - even checked my spam folder). Then when trying to figure out a time, was told that I would get a call back later that same day. Didn't get a call back until the next day and it was the exact opposite time I had given for availability. This back and forth went on for about a week until I finally re-arranged my schedule to fit the times given. The service really was great, but scheduling was a disaster.

Tech was awesome! He showed up early and had everything fixed by the time I got home. I had put in a replacement torquemaster spring myself (which took hours!), but couldn't get the door to close because of excessive force. He simply dialed back the tension on the springs, and, most importantly, adjusted the opening, closing force on the garage door opener itself. Once that was done, works perfectly. I actually had installed the replacement torquemaster spring correctly, but wasn't aware of the need to do the other stuff. Service call fee well spent!

As it turned out, the technician discovered that it was an electrical problem rather than mechanical. Although he was unable to fix it, he gave useful advice and provided a temporary fix until I hired an electrician---and with no charge! Very professional and proficient. Would hire the company in the future.

Excellent. A-1 promptly contacted me to schedule work. Technician showed up on time, examined doors and set to work. Very courteous, professional and speedy.

Charles did a tremendous job. Not only did he replace the rollers but also noticed that the tension spring had snapped. While here, for a nominal extra charge, he fixed that as well. Charles called and requested to come early and was on time. He was professional, efficient and personable.

They came by yesterday bright and early at 7 am. The technician was very pleasant. They were done in about an hour and a half. There were no surprises as far as my balance. Everything went swimmingly.

The garage was still under warranty so the representatives did not perform any work.

The work performed was fine. The provider was late due to traffic delays.

Same-day service, competitive price (although it is still higher than warranted given that it only takes 20 minutes), Charles was extremely friendly and professional, warranty of one year for the labor and three year for the parts sealed the deal! Would highly recommend to anyone else who has issues with their garage door.

It was great. I called at 5:45 on a Saturday afternoon when the spring broke, and the guy was here shortly after 7 pm. He was quick, friendly and efficient. I was happy someone was able to come out on a Saturday evening. Would highly recommend these guys.

workman arrived. Refused to work on Genie brand garage door opener and recommended that I buy a different brand. I would like a refund of $80. This is the second company to refuse service. I recommend Angie's List remove these business from the list as soon as possible.

Charles was prompt, friendly, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. He went to work immediately on arrival and oiled all areas of the garage door and replaced all of the old rollers as advertised in the deal. As I asked him questions he was very patient and thorough is his explanations and provided some useful tips on how to keep the garage door maintained and working properly. He even provided me with a new garage door opener, which he had on hand, after I told him I had misplaced one of mine (For a small fee of course). The end result was an operational garage door that opened and closed like butter. From the scheduling process and throughout the appointment the customer service was top-notch. Excellent all around service. Called them Wednesday to get a quote for the installation of a garage door opener that I had already purchased. They were by far the cheapest of any other company in the area and they were able to come out the next day to install it. Charles, the installer, was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. I would definitely use this company again and recommend it to my friends.
