Landmark Home Warranty

Description of Work: I paid over the phone for their one year warranty of my home with my credit card. I have not heard anything from them since last week. I tried calling their website 866 number, which I get a recording that it is a "non-working" number! I called Angie's list. They were helpful in getting me the phone number of the contact person in my area. But after 2 voicemails, and a text message, they have not contacted me. I am concerned I have been scammed and will contact my credit card company.

Description of Work: 1- Furnace preseason tune up (2 Units), (Tech was not so good) |2- Kitchen Waste disposal broke, replaced on the spot (Tech was awesome) |3- Dish washer broke, fix it once, cashed me out per my choice 2nd time.(Tech was awesome) |4- AC preseason tune up (2 Units) (Tech was awesome) |5- AC repairs (2 Units) (Tech was fabulous, no BS.)

Description of Work: I've been using Landmark as my home warranty for over a year and they have been exceptional. I've used them for pest control and when water heater had an issue and the contractor used was prompt and professional. Would recommend.

Description of Work: My hot water heater sprung a leak on a Sunday. The customer service rep at Landmark said no plumber would answer a call on Sunday and my problem was not considered an emergency. A friend came over and made some adjustments and the leak appeared to stop. By Wednesday, it was leaking again. I called Landmark and they sent a plumber, I paid the $60 service call fee, and the plumber repaired the leaking hose. I checked around with other home warranty service companies and found that it would be nearly impossible to get service on a Sunday (maybe Saturday too?) unless it is what they consider an emergency. I have used Landmark for the past year and wanted to continue the services of a home warranty company and did research on other companies and decided to stay with Landmark for another year. I was disappointed about the lack of service on a weekend. Landmark has very good reviews and a great rating with the Boise BBB.

Description of Work: Landmark uses contractors that are inexperienced. The contractors are unreliable and those who no one else will hire. Landmark hired Kelly's A/C to fix my AC. It took 4 weeks for the repair, which was in July (Texas heat) while I was 8 months pregnant. I ended up having to pay $800 for duct work because they had to replace a furnace because they claimed my motor blower fan was no longer on the market. I later found out that I could have had the problem fix for under $300 by going through another contractor. Needless to say, I did not renew my service agreement with Landmark.

Description of Work: The repairman was very thorough in repairing my agitator free washer. I was very satisfied with his knowledge and ability to explain everything to me in layman's terms.

Description of Work: They answer the phone, and the service representatives seem helpful. They schedule their inspections. They take payments. But when it comes down to repairs, they don't actually cover anything. | |We called them for several different issues that came up at our rental property. HVAC needed service, Landmark said they wouldn't cover any repairs. Sewer line was clogged: Landmark said they wouldn't cover it since it was not inside the house. | |The seller paid for this warranty, but we paid $65 each time for their providers to go out and provide an estimate. Since Landmark wouldn't cover the work, and I did not want to waste time arguing about it, particularly since I did not have faith in the quality of their service providers, we went with other providers to get the repairs and paid out of pocket. Complete waste of time and money.

Description of Work: Landmark contacted the contractor to do the work, emailed me the info, told me the co-pay, coordinated with the contractor if everything would be paid for by the warranty (which it was, without ANY argument!). This is the best home warranty company as far as I am concerned. I would recommend them to anyone at anytime!

Description of Work: I've had several things break in the home I purchased a year and a half ago. During the first year, Landmark helped me repair a garage door spring that broke, a sump pump, and the air conditioning unit. The cost of the warranty was around $300 and the cost of all the repairs done would have cost me around $2000 at least. Landmark charges a standard $60 for them to send someone over to check something out and if it needs to be fixed, there is no cost after that as long as it's covered in your warranty. Whenever I called Landmark they were always very professional and took care of things quickly.

Description of Work: They are a home warranty company, so they don't actually provide the repairs themselves but have contractors that come out to do repairs/service. After having had HORRIFIC experiences with American Home Shield, I would absolutely recommend this company in comparison. The contractors they use are so much better.

Description of Work: We purchased the deluxe warranty plan and the cost was comparable to other major warranty providers. Our biggest concern was with finding a good, quality home warranty company. We have used several in the past that were not worth the money. The reviews for Landmark were all good and our experience was been the same. We were happy enough with them to renew again this year. They are very responsive, follow-up and warranty items as they say they will. Enough said.

Description of Work: Have only used my warranty a couple of times, but every time has been a pleasant experience. I was able to enter my information online and a customer service representative contacted me promptly for additional info and to set up a contractor.
