Landmark Home Warranty

Description of Work: We have had air conditioner work performed three times under our Landmark warranty. The first service call was made promptly after our contact and the problem was fixed. A year later the whole a/c unit went out. The diagnostic service call was made promptly, but Landmark took three days to approve replacement of the unit and it was another day before the new unit was installed. The process was very slow for the resident who suffered five days and nights of Texas Summer heat with no air conditioning.

Description of Work: they repaired the a/c and the well pump with caveats of me paying the the inspection parts. Overall I had a great experience.

Description of Work: We had just moved into our home and Boom 3 weeks in our AC starts to go out, we contacted Landmark and they sent someone out the next day, although this contractor was TERRIBLE (review separately). They eventually sent out another contractor to reevaluate the mistakes by the first company and found the leak and replaced the coil and our ac is working great! | |We did have to bring our own AC guy out twice to put Freon in because they could not find anyone who would come out on the weekend but they fully reimbursed us. | |Overall I love most of our landmark reps. I talked to a couple at first that were a little rude but that might have just been a bad day. our stuff is fixed and we are happy. | |*** note it did take a total of 3 weeks to get fixed but (which at the time I was pretty mad about) but we were reimbursed for having to put our own Freon in the system but really the problem was the first company who came out and diagnosed a dirty coil and missed the HUGE leak that make it take that long |

Description of Work: They came and said the A/C ductwork was bad and they would not cover our claim. The provider wanted another $600 from us which I declined at this time.

Description of Work: Landmark as a home warranty company has done an Excellent job in terms of being fair and reasonable with our warranty. We have had about 6 issues since joining so I know they aren't making much on us. Some of this is the seller not telling us everything. We had some problems with a stove that they replaced, we had a plumbing issue, a problem with our pool, etc. SOME of the contractors were so-so. But for the most part the contractors have been ones we would independently hire. We moved into the area from out of state so we knew no one. Having this warranty has turned out to be a good investment. I recommend Landmark but check out the contractors and make sure they do what is requested.

Description of Work: We got the deluxe home warranty with our house purchase. Month or so later Ac stopped working. Submitted an online claim. They sent one of their contracted companies out the next day. The repairman identified the problem, went and got the parts he needed and fixed same day. We paid only the $60 call out fee.

Description of Work: Told them that the washing machine was making a loud noise that sounded like a bearing was going bad. Their response was we don't cover noise, there has to be an actual failure for the to respond. Well sure enough a week later the main bearing in the washing machine failed and did extensive damage to the rest of the machine. It cost them not me a lot more to repair than had they responded to to the noise issue. Will never use them again and rould recommend that no one else use them.

Description of Work: Just subscribed to their annual Service. Two reasons for giving B:- |1) their line for subscribing to existing homes which are not part of real estate transaction was always going to voice mail. It took 3 days, when somebody from their team reached out because of the online inquiry I made. |2) the code on angies list did not work for discount. And when I dropped a note to them, they wanted me to call about it rather than correcting the code.

Description of Work: The heater went out and they didn't come out for 4 days. Keep changing the dates some was home every day waiting. When I said it was cold in the house they said Don't you have plug in. You know they make space heaters right. They are rude. I even play a voice mail that said they would be at the house at a date and time they said it wasn't them. We will never use them again.

Description of Work: They are a home warranty company that get local companies to provide work. Have had to use the home warranty and I have always gotten good response time, and service from their contractors.
