About us

Happy House Cleaning was formed in 2000 by Mike and Charmon Henderson. We had a desire to provide a high quality cleaning service to the Salt Lake Valley. To do this, standards were set high from the beginning. We are very meticulous about who we hire, all of our employees pass both a state and federal background check. Then we run a credit check and a drug screening. We only let people into your home that we would have in ours. Nine Employees. No subs. Cost is determined by the job. No service charge. May contact through e-mail. We accept all major credit cards.

Description of Work: These girls were great, I had a last minute need for help with cleaning my house, due to family unexpectedly coming to stay with me for a week. I called at about 10:30am on Saturday. The girls were already on the jobs for the day. She said she call them and see if they wanted to take on another job for the day. They agreed to come over when they were done with there current job. As I was looking around my house panicking as to how I was going to get everything done before my family arrived the next morning. They showed up they were able to get the majority of the house clean in the time frame we had set up. I am so thankful that they were able to come and literally the last minute. I did not have to stay up all night cleaning, got to bed at a decent time and was able to bring my family from the airport to a nice clean home. I do have a cleaning service I use every few months but going forward I will be using the girls from Happy House Cleaning. They made an extremely stressful situation for me very simple and easy to deal with.

Great communication on scheduling. I saw someone's review about some attitude issues but in my experience these are very friendly and respectful people up and down the chain. Held up their appointment time, estimated cleaning time correctly, cleaned well. Ultimately, landlord is happy with house condition so that's the bottom line. I have used a few cleaning companies in Utah before and this is the first company where the cleaners seem to take pride in their work, know what they are doing, and respect my time. Also, these are locals. I have mostly seen crews where the entire crew did not speak English and only the crew leader spoke some English. Nothing against immigrants, but if it interferes with communication then I have a problem with it, because I want to be able to point out what needs to be cleaned and I do not want to go get the crew leader every time. So for all these reasons, I am very impressed with Happy Housecleaning.
Description of Work: Move-out cleaning of a house (~1100 sq ft). House was empty but very dirty after moving furniture and rugs etc.

I stopped using them because the owner's wife was snippy with me. And I don't want to pay for someone to come be snippy with me. Mike is very good though. If he came out by himself, I would use him, but he won't come without his wife. I think Mike does a very good job and I just think her health made her irritable. But, from my point of view, I didn't want to pay anyone to act like that.

I had unexpected drywall work done and needed it cleaned up on a tight time frame. Called the company only about five hours before I needed the work done. A live person answered, explained their fee and arranged a time. They called later to let me know exactly what time they would arrive. They came and got right to work, had the entire job done in a little over an hour. Very good job. They accepted direction well about my specific concerns and were very detailed. They were very professional and pleasant throughout.

They probably do a good job, and they're very trustworthy. I feel that they pay attention to detail. There are a couple people who come out to do the cleaning. They are here at the same time every other week, so you can count on them to come.

They came to my house at an appointed time to give an estimate. We agreed upon a time two days later for the service to be performed. They performed the service, everything was cleaned to my satisfaction, and the house smelled great!

The manager did not show up at the appointed time nor did he call to let me know he was not coming. Very poor professionalism.

We do our best to meet our appointments as scheduled. In this case the client had given us a phone # that rang to a fax line. When a scheduling conflict prevented me from doing his walk through I was unable to call him. I did leave a note on his door when we came to do his cleaning and we were locked out.

My parents felt the price was fair. The cleaners didn't do everything exactly the way they wanted it, but they were willing to come back and fix it. They were relatively pleased with the job they did.The cleaners were in and out in five hours. They did everything they said they would do. The people seemed to be very respectful.

It was ok, but they didn't clean everything. I had them back, which they were willing to do, but the end result still wasn't what i expected. however, they did install a new toilet pump for free as compensation, which was nice.

They did a great job on the floor. They are very good and very fast and very, very, nice I would highly recommend them to anyone!! they have done (cleaned) several of my rental homes. My property mgr recommended them highly -- he has been using them for several years. I have them coming for 1x monthly service.

Their services were great. I was very happy with the house cleaning. If I had anything negative to say it would be that they were supposed to be there between 12 and 2, but they were not there yet, and I called them to see when they would be there. They came at 3.
