Went very well. Kurt serviced my furnace. Besides an efficient repair, he gave me helpful information that I had not known and even gave me a percent efficiency statement on my furnace. He was friendly, professional and finished the job within an hour. Because it was a Sunday when my furnace failed, I paid the after-hour rate, but it was worth it. :)

This was a professional, outstanding experience. Estimates both over the phone (initial) and at home (actual) were given in a pleasant and professional manner and any questions I had were answered completely. Technician apologized for being 20 minutes late (got lost - not unusual for our address, so no big deal), was extremely thoughtful about keeping his shoes clean so as not to track dirt in the house, and ASKED PERMISSION to freely go in and out of the house as he did his work before doing so. I have never had a contractor ask for permission like that before. Technician performed work efficiently and completely. 100% satisfied. Great experience. Will use again.

Affordable was awesome. Not only did the tech ensure my furnace was running, he offered insight into code issues that no one else had ever brought to my attention. Even better, he was honest and didn't try and convince me to do extra work to fix issues, but just wanted me to know. You don't find that kind of integrity in service people very often anymore. I highly recommend Affordable. I'll use them again.

I am a person who has serious trust issues with contractors. However, these guys were great! The serviceman showed me how to diagnose a problem by myself in case I don't call them in the future so I won't get ripped off. This makes them very trustworthy in my book!

After getting a quote of over $3,000.00 from another company for large-scale repair, I called Angie's List and was referred to Affordable Heating & Cooling. They came out for the inspection and found that the only issue was with my thermostat so they replaced it. I have not had any other issues with the system since then and I am very happy that I got a second opinion on the work.

Really bad experience. While Affordable sent someone out the next day, there were several issues with service. First, our appointment was a window from 8:30 - 12:30. They called at 8:00 and said I needed to be there at 8:15. I was there by 8:20, but the serviceman was rude about having to wait. Next, the service guy was even more rude about getting up on the roof. (Even though this was discussed when I made the appointment.) he complained and acted like I purposely put the AC unit on the roof just to inconvenience him. After going up on the roof and adding coolant, the serviceman couldn't calculate the ounces of freon he added, and wasn't aware pounds and ounces can't be added on a normal calculator. He was off by a half pound ($50 of freon), and got hot under the collar when I asked him to do the math by hand. I was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Last but not least, Affordable didn't honor their coupon, nor did they provide any sort of documentation that they actually performed the 20 point check. I ended up paying them $34 more than the coupon rate. Shame on me for not booking through Angie's List. I definitely would not use them again.

The fan on our air conditioner went out two days ago. We had tried to contact another company, but they did not answer the request for an appointment or answer their phone. Affordable responded quickly and made sure we were taken care of the same day we called. The installation was quick and even though we have an unit that hasn't been made since 2010, there was no pressure to upgrade and they had the part needed to fix our problem. We are very happy with the service we received and will use them again.

The technician, Kurt, was nice and helpful.

It was a very good experience. Job was very professionally done. I felt the diagnosis was right on the money. When I need a\c service again I will call them for sure. I felt the cost was very fair.

Fix was easy, technician was pleasant and efficient and patient in working his way through potential sources for the voltage issue (that was identified before they got here- the source was what I couldn't figure out).

Harold Bunting's bid included specifics on several units, options, and additional information such as rebates and warranties. 2. Very reasonable cost for services. 3. Three-man installation team arrived exactly as they specified at 8:30 a.m. 4. They first laid protective covering on inside work area. 5. The professional team split-up and began working on electrical areas, draining and disassembling old unit, and adapting the new AC system. 6. After several hours the "baby" was born. Bring on the hot weather! 7. A follow-up visit from Harold Bunting included an informative binder with specifics regarding the system his excellent company installed.

Hire these guys. The service tech was running a half hour late, and the office called to tell me. (Comcast are you listening?) Kurt did a thorough inspection of my AC unit and checked the interior of the house too. I don't trust the $37 coupons you see in the paper for AC tuneup and was happy to pay the regular rate for good service. And I chose Affordable on the basis of the Angies reviews. Very pleased.

I did something dumb but they fixed it promptly and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Friendly and helpful and right on time, can't ask for more than that.

It was great. He explained the furnace and the sensor function. Also told me a few more things I needed to know, since taking over home "chores" for m y mom. He was very polite and humorous. I will call them again any time.

They had the best price, and even gave us advise on what to ask when we meet with other companies for estimates. Very professional and courteous.

As he stepped in the house, he put covers on his shoes! Unassuming and very professional. I then referred a friend of mine and he replaced my friend's furnace...my friend had a very similar experience.

Technician clearly knew his stuff and was very helpful in showing and explaining the problem to me. I had thought the smart valve had gone bad which would have been a much more costly repair. They worked with me to ensure it got fixed the same day I called even though was getting late in the day so I would not have to go through the weekend w/o heat.

My furnace is a 1995 Carrier Weather Maker rated 90% efficient. It started rattling and vibrating although all functions are OK. I called Service Experts which was previously Thompson and Sons whom I trusted and helped me in the past. Their technician diagnosed that the blower motor is on the blink and the induction motor also need to be replaced. the repair would be $1600. He recommended a new furnace since it is almost twenty years old. It was a Saturday and they were able to send a sale person in one hour and did an estimate. The replacement cost for this unit would be, with a Lennox system $4500 to $6000 before rebates from Questar gas and Rocky Mountain power with 3 options. I decided to get , according to old wisdom , at least three bids, before I make a decision. I called Affordable Heating and Air, as well as two other companies to get a estimate for a new furnace. Affordable is the first one that I could get an appointment. The Sale person arrived on time. After I explained why I needed a new furnace, he asked whether he can spend a minute to see what noise was. I replied that you are sales, "do you know how furnace works?' He told me that he is the owner's son and has been working with his father since 1980 in all kinds of capacities. He spent 15 minutes looking and checking things out and concluded 'that the unit is in good condition, the bearing of the motor is good and there is no excessive heat when it is running and therefore it is a balance problem. The induction draft motor is good'. The recommended fix is $179.The electronic air filter he deferred to his technician to find out what was wrong. He said 'if this is my furnace, I would fix it'. I was elated and thought even this should last a couple of years, it would worth a try. They send a technician the next day and fixed the problem . The electronic air filter was due to a tripped switch. The final bill was $195. Image that! The owner's son whom I asked for an estimate for a new furnace could easily just do what he was asked and give me a quote , instead , over and above his call of duty, he diagnosed the problem correctly and fixed my furnace and saved me thousands which I do not need to spend right now on these Holiday seasons! He rather do the right thing than make a sale which will bring a lot more profit to his company! This old American way, honest spirit reminds me of the good old days! The furnace is running fine now. I Highly recommend Affordable Heating and air to help them with their heating and air needs..
