Marty is a great guy and very easy to work with. He did and excellent job. Gates were adjusted to fit slope and it looks beautiful. I would recommend his work anytime.

Marty is a great guy, and he and his team do extremely high quality work. However, his communication is not always as clear as it could be. However, this is more than compensated by the quality of work performed, and the diligent cleanup that his team did after the work was complete. Marty and his team installed fence posts, and was very careful around my sprinklers. He worked with me to relocate a sprinkler that would be in the way so that underground pipes wouldn't be damaged. I checked after the team left, and I think that these fence posts are the only thing on the entire property that are perfectly level and plum-- flawless. The team came back a couple days later to complete the work, and did a great job. I'm very happy with the fence, and I was pleased to see how nicely they cleaned up-- there was no debris left. The fence looks great, and I'm confident it will last a decade or more without a problem. They minimized impact to my lawn and sprinkler system, and helped choose the best location for gate and height for the fence, double-checking with me and my wife on things before completing the work. If communication had been a little clearer on when work would be started and completed, this would have been a perfect review. Even without that, I would absolutely use Marty and his team again, and would confidently recommend him to friends.

Marty was very easy to work with. We got the quote and were able to schedule the work. They were able to complete the job within the quoted price, even though there ended up being more hand digging than originally planned for.

Marty is good to work with. He came by and prepared a bid. I accepted it. He did everything we agreed on.

I contacted Standard Fence on a Thursday and spoke with an answering service. I received a call back from Marty late that evening and scheduled an estimate for a wood fence repair on the next morning (Friday). He no-showed to that appointment. I called him that morning and received his voice mail. He called me Friday early afternoon and said he had dropped and shattered his cell phone and lost a lot of information. So we rescheduled for first thing Saturday morning. He also no-showed then. In fact, it's now Monday afternoon and I still have not heard from him. Since I had virutally the same experience with the top three fencing providers on Angie's List, I'm starting to think I won't get anyone's attention unless I'm installing a brand new fence, so I've decided to hire a handyman insted. I guarantee when I do replace my fence someday, I will not be contacting Standard Fence. While I understand that my job is not a big one, their deplorable customer service has caused them to miss out on any future big jobs I would have considered them for. They should be very embarassed.

We are so pleased that we chose to work with Standard Fence. Marty Bradbury, the owner of the company, personally ensured that the job was done properly and on budget. In fact, Marty stayed late into the evening to finish the job on the final day to make sure that the product was something that his company could be proud of. Marty was great to work with, responsive to our design ideas (we are very particular), and helped us make good choices about the final construction and appearance of the fence. Not only are we completely satisfied with the fence, but we have received so many wonderful compliments from our neighbors about the work. It is simply beautiful, well-built, and has completely changed the appearance of our back yard. A couple of months after the work was completed, we have had no issues at all. Our only complaint had to do with punctuality--but a busy service provider that has a lot of projects is a good sign. We were also stated that we were flexible with our time (my wife was on maternity leave at the time), so our complaint is very minor and should not be a cause for concern for anyone considering Standard Fence.

Standard Fence was by far the most competitively priced and their work was quality. We love our driveway gate.

They said it was a bigger job than the big deal covered. I agreed. They said for the $250-value deal (paid $99) they could do 2 man hours of work. I thought about that and declined. Please issue a refund.

They did an excellent job on the fence and made an 18-year old fence look practically new. I was very happy with this part of the service. I also asked them to pressure wash and stain my deck. This did not go as well as the pressure washing process left a number of gouges, some deep, in my deck and posts. However, they did do a good job on the deck stain.

It went okay. They did a good job. It was a little slow getting started, but I was happy with the final result. It cost me an additional $125 over the coupon price of $99. I hired somebody else to do the back section of the fence, because Standard Fence's price was much too high for simply adding nails to the boards in place. I got that done at half price the price bid by Standard Fence. I have recommended Standard to my neighbors. I would use this provider again.

Mike came out to give me an estimate and I appreciated that he came when he said he was going to and that he treated my small repair job with the same importance and urgency as I felt in needing it fixed. I thought I would have to wait several weeks for a spot in their books but they were able to quickly fit me into their schedule and had the job done in a short time.

He was fine. I did all the work myself. They just made the gate for me. The quality of the gate was fine.

It went well and I like the quality of work and the availability of scheduling.

Marty Bradbury and his crew were on schedule. My initial impression was positive, although there were some workmanship errors. In particular the hardware on the gate latch was chosen incorrectly. This led to some wood screws being either not put in, or put in at an angle. I noted this immediately. Marty at first told me there wasn't much that could be done because of the hardware that was used. After about two weeks and some settling of the gate, one of the wood screws that was at an angle began binding up in the latch. Within a few days, I was unable to open and close the gate. Marty first sent out a junior associate who made a quick repair, which didn't work. About three days later Marty came out, on Memorial day weekend, to effect repairs. He recognized that the entire latch design was inadequate. Marty completely replaced the latch and all associated hardware with the correct design. He furthermore replaced all wood that had been marked in any way by the first design. The gate is now perfect. Marty;s repair, albeit not immediate, was beyond what I would expect most contractors would take on. He did make sure that my expectations for a high quality job were met.

There were four people that came out to perform this service. The workers did what they said they would do. They got it done and it was good. No extra charges for this service. They were professional. They just did a good job. I would recommend to a friend or family member.

I wish I had before and after pictures to show you the amazing results. Before, the fence was in such bad shape that if I had the money I would have torn it down and started over. But Marty from Standard Fence assured me it would clean up great -- I sort of didn't believe him, but he was right! The fence looks terrific! I'm very pleased with the work done, it was so worth the money. The back yard is so inviting now with the this pretty wood fence around it. and the curb appeal from the front is much improved, too. One caveat: scheduling was a challenge, but he's worth it, so hang in there.

Marty called me to follow up on my purchase of their $99 offer on Angies List in February 2014. I told him since the weather was still bad, I would call him probably in March to arrange the work on my fence. He came out in March and assessed the work to be done and it was scheduled. First time Alonzo and his partner came to do the job, Alonzo realized they had been given the wrong size fence boards for the repair so said he would have to come back later, probably within the next day or two. I asked that he please let me know when they were going to be here so I could be here too. They came back when I was gone and when I examined the fence, I was disappointed that one gate had not been completely repaired so it would open and close properly and another section of the fence still needed to be adjusted. So I called their office and Michael made arrangements to come out and look at the fence with me and assess what needed to be done further. Alonzo and his partner came back and spent a couple of hours doing the final repairs and ultimately did a very nice job. Michael also was diligent in coming back the next day to check out the repairs. All employees were very nice and the only thing I would have preferred is that they let me know better when the workers would be coming so I could be there too. I think it would have saved a second trip for the workers.

1. Michael came to do estimate and scoped out work. I did not receive any written estimate, or any notice of additional costs. 2. Michael called to schedule the service. He also told me that it would be an additional $135 to reinforce a post. Again, I did not receive a written estimate. I was also wary because his phone was a New York area code. 3. The 2 workers arrived. They did not speak English. I noticed they did not have any replacement fence slats in their truck--replacement slats were part of the deal. 4. The workers left without getting any sort of "approval" of work from me. The did about 35 minutes of work. They did not reinforce the post because I had told Michael I could not afford the additional cost. No slats were replaced. I feel like this was a "bait and switch" with this contractor. Since the 2 workers, a friend who does fence work gave me an estimate of $110 for the entire job, including reinforcing the post. I would not recommend or use this contractor again. Updated 5/1/14 After the company saw my poor review, they contacted me to correct their errors. When the workmen came back, they asked me to tell them the damage, even after Michael came and walked through the yard, taking pictures and making notes. Finally, they offered to replace the fence post that was originally priced at $135, at no charge. so, after 3 tries, I finally feel satisfied with their work. Too bad it wasn't taken care of in the first place.

My wife gave a unfavorable review, this review is from the husband's point of view. I was greatly pleased with the gates in which they installed. There were a few problems associated with the installation, however, the workers corrected all of these problems to my complete satisfation. I would give them a grade of A- .

Marty came a day earlier than planned to get the job done. I asked if he could also remove a small chain link fence that was barely upright and add it in with the other job, which they did at a small additional cost. I was very pleased with the fence, including the fact that they managed to replace the fence without damaging my sprinklers that border the fence. I would definitely use this company again. He was quick to reply to any concerns and always returned my texts and/or calls.

This turned out quite well. They fixed the fence, put in new wood, and did everything they said they would and more. There were some extra costs involved for extra fence repair and construction.
