The person who came to bid the job had me order the wrong trim, the installation crew were late and unprofessional they didn't put my electrical covers back on. They had me go and buy more tile and I had to take it all back. We are living in a time where no one cares about going above and beyond. It's just get the money and move on to the next project.

After considering several flooring companies to tile our bathroom floor and shower, we chose Utah Flooring and Design. The job was completed to satisfaction.

They scheduled a day and time (anywhere between 9 and 11 AM) to do some in-home carpet repair. At 10:45 they are a no-show so I try to reach them by phone -- it takes 3 calls to finally get through to a recorded message, which puts me on hold for about 20 minutes. Finally, I get a live person and she says she will have to check and call me back, which she does after about 45 minutes and says their employee was having truck problems. I ask Did not it occur to you to let your customers know he was not coming? Um, I guess? So we reschedule a 2nd appointment for the next week and guess what? Yes, another no-show. This time they say scheduling issues with the crew -- but of course, I find this out only after *I* reach out to them to ask where their crew is. Oh, we are so sorry and we schedule a 3rd appointment. And guess what? Yep, a no-show for the 3rd time -- no call, no warning, nothing. And again, I have to initiate the call to them to find out what is happening. Service rep says she will have to look into it and calls me back 90 minutes later stating that their employee had truck problems yet again. I ask Did it not occur to you to let me know he was not coming, yet again? So sorry, but we can reschedule. My response: Nope. And I will be sending you a bill for the three half days of work you made me miss. And the best part is they have already billed my credit card for the work, which the service rep said she would support but the credit has not been issued, so now it looks like I am going to have to file a dispute with my credit card company to get the refund. Fun times.

I wish the installer would have cleaned up after himself a little better. instead of calling me and asking for pictures of the problem the project manager should go personally and look at the problem.

I ordered my new flooring on July 22, 2019 and it is now September 2, 2019 and the project is not completed. Four times they failed to show up for scheduled appointments. The fifth time they did show up but the installer brought no product to install.

The job was quoted to refinish existing engineered hardwood, but it was cupped to bad from water damage. That was on Monday, I decided to replace and we had a new beautiful floor on Thursday. They had wood in stock that we loved, and did not have to wait for it to be ordered and shipped.

The end product was so beautiful. They tiled my entry, kitchen, hall, laundry and bath. They removed old linoleum and corrected any subfloor issues. They replaced baseboards. They also refinished my wood floors in 3 rooms, They were very willing to make everything right. The quality and customer service were 5 star after I requested and received improved communication and inspection. I think that is pretty standard when working with subcontractors though I am no expert. Anyway, I am very happy with my tile and I would recommend this company. There is no question about their professionalism. We chose them out of a lot of bidders and we are glad we did so. they helped us pick out tile suited to our needs and supported my daughter and I through the entire project.

Removed old carpet replaced with 300sf carpeted area and 400sf tile. New granite counter top and double farm sink. The quality of the workmanship and materials (carpet, granite, and tile) was 11 out of 10. Yes, that good! At a VERY reasonable and lower price than the BigBoxes and competition. From first contact to completion was within 30 days. Unheard of since my friends are still waiting, in late August, for their contractor to start. We HIGHLY recommend Utah Flooring and Design.

Unbeknownst to me, Utah Flooring and Design uses subcontractors to do the actual flooring installation; when I asked the owner, Paul, what I was paying Utah Flooring for, he replied ;to manage the sub; or something to that effect. The reason I had to speak with the owner, rather than my project manager, is that the PM never returned my calls. I needed to talk with the PM to find out why the sub didn't show up to complete the install as scheduled (M-F, installer failed to show on Friday as well as half a day on Wed; our household goods were scheduled for delivery on the next Tues the following week after our military move). I never got an answer other than "that's construction'. So, Utah Flooring failed to manage the sub as required, which put us in a bind (customer is required to spackle, caulk and paint all the baseboards they removed/replaced as well as thoroughly clean all the dust/construction grit that floated throughout the house, from the ceiling fans to the window sills to the floors they didn't work on). We also had to patch holes in the walls from their construction accidents; we needed the weekend to prepare to receive our furniture, but didn't get it since the install finished Monday late afternoon. Additionally, we have rustic hickory hardwood with lots of color variation that should have been installed rather randomly; for some odd reason, the installer weighted the dark wood on one side and light wood on the other side of our living room. It looks odd and we aren't happy. Other rooms look pretty good.

Nate our installer was amazing. Our rock installer screwed up and did not leave any room to tuck the carpet edge under. I was very worried about how it would look by the uneven rock. Nate made it look perfect.

Worker late every day, no-show one day. Work hastily done; sloppy and incomplete. Final day to complete work would have been a no show had we not contacted the company several times inquiring as to worker s whereabouts. A worker was subsequently pulled from another job at the end of the day to do our job. He did not use the sealer that was suggested by the previous worker who had come to finish up a hasty install earlier.

Absolutely the worst company I have worked with. They cracked my existing beautiful marble tile far away from the area being worked because they left a brand new installer alone to do the job. Refused any compensation, did a shoddy repair job and they are overpriced.

Horrible experience! I was bullied, lied to, and threatened by owners and project managers! The job was done wrong, Utah Flooring and Design used the wrong wood to repair my original wood floors. They used small, patches rather than lace the spots as I was promised. The repairs look horrible! When I complained, I was harassed, blamed for the errors they made, and it took 3 months and 8 manager visits to the site to get them to agree to re-do the job but only if I paid 75% of the price. Three different project managers treated me like I was a stupid woman, told me I didnt know what I was talking about, when questioned about the wood grain that did not match the original floor, he said it was the same. When I pointed out the patches were moving with traffic, he said it was all in my head!!! When they came to correct the errors, they tore up the floor, sanded the stain off all the way around the edges of two rooms, then Jason (the owner) told me they would NOT finish the job unless I signed a new agreement NOT to go online and file a negative report. Jason had his worker destroy my floors in order to force me to sign a new contract! Jason threatened me with legal action if I did not pay the balance, misrepresented the balance due, and insists on being paid in full even thought the job is not done. Kaisha, project manager, attempted to repair my expensive sheet vinyl floor and made it worse! It looks terrible and he said they would remove that charge of $199. This is a $1,000 floor and it is now ruined and needs to be replaced! But now, they have added the $199 back into the balance due and are demanding payment with my living/dining room wood floors tore-up and ruined. While reviewing his new agreement, Jason ordered his worker off the site and told me he NEVER intended to honor the repair agreement and then texted he was done. The floor has boards missing and is now not stained around two full rooms. I now can not rent or sell my house. Truly horrible experience and nasty company. Everyone should go to Yelp or another independent site to see true reviews about how horrible this company is. Any positive or five star reviews must be fake! It is just shocking that they would damage my floors and refuse to honor any agreements, written contracts and their guarantee. They actually harassed me over the phone with multiple calls telling me it was my fault they used the wrong wood or that the little six inch pieces they installed to patch the holes were coming apart and splintering was my fault. No one even lived in the house and there were issues with the patches after only a few months! The phone harassment by Kimball, the office manager included talking over me, ignoring me, threats, and disrespect. Can you imagine trying to explain the problem to someone that after three words would start talking over you and not let you talk? This was a nightmare and now the bedroom floor is ruined and the original wood floor in my dining room and living room is ruined. I am shocked that this company can even have a contractors license or do business the way they treat customers. There is no guarantee! They do not honor the guarantee nor do good work. They just want your credit card number to charge it whether the job is done or not.
