Utah Flooring & Design

Coordination of bids and works takes place in another country and is difficult to manage and understand over the phone. I would not recommend.

The installer Nate did a great job, he took his time and made sure everything was done perfectly.

The prices at Utah Flooring and design are reasonable. The estimator for our kitchen flooring project was friendly, personable, and informative. The installer, Nathan, is willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. The floor looks fantastic!

The installers did a great job, for the most part, actually installing the floor. There were enough irritating situations along the way that I wouldn't pick this company for any future projects. Problems during the project included: late arrivals and no shows by contractors and demo crew, poor work from demo crew, and missing installation supplies. In addition, the company attempted to charge my credit card for the balance due many times over several days before it was actually done, without asking me if work was complete. Had I not frozen the card to prevent that, I don't imagine the work would ever have gotten done. After project problems include: loose and missing trim pieces, oil spots on my driveway from contractors, and no cleanup--I was left with a giant pile of debris in front of my home that took about 3 weeks of 2 full trash cans to get rid of. Next time I need flooring installed, I will choose a company that costs more so the whole experience requires less supervision and effort from me.

The Estimator (Kevin) and Installer (Nathan) were outstanding. The Scheduling folks seem to be a little off. Scheduling a 6 hr project to begin mid-afternoon when I specifically told them I did not want installers here in the LATE evening is not what I would call good customer service. The quality of the flooring and installation - EXCELLENT. Customer Service - Less than stellar!

I had leftover carpet from previous owner and wanted stair carpet replaced. Communications was great on getting bid and install date. Price was reasonable and installer was fantastic. Start to finish less than a week. I will use them again.

Utah flooring and design was great to work with. Installer worked with me throughout the process and accommodated all my last min requests. The only negative was the demo crew took a little bit too long and made a mess of my house with dust. Overall a very pleasant experience ?

The installer, (Kenneth) was right on time to start the job, very professional, he made sure I agreed with every step of the process before he would continue. Kenneth was very good to work with stayed busy and completed the job on time.

Both Kevin the estimator and Carlos the installer were very professional and easy to talk to. Carlos is a very hard worker and left my home clean and a job very well done. I would definitely recommend him for a great installation job.

Amy and her team were amazing. I was under severe time pressure and it all happened in a nice flow.

This place is the worst!! I would never recommend them to anyone I cared about. I had to take a day off work for a 900am appointment, they didn t show up to start the job till 5:30pm! Wasted my entire day giving me the run around all day!! Thankfully the guy completed the job so I could move in the next day but he didn t finish till 5:30am. The carpet looks good and it was affordable but I will never use them for anything ever again.

We were initially favorable to this company given their price quotes and product samples. They came and did tile in the bathroom, carpeting in living room and bedrooms, and flooring elsewhere. The carpet subcontractors were magnificent. The tile guys were good, once they got there: a week late and we were without a toilet upstairs the while time as a result. The flooring was the worst. The subcontractor did not finish the job and left to start another job, and wanted us to sign off on the invoice for payment before they left. Not! Over the weeks and months that followed, we received promises and apologies, and were told that we would be a priority to complete the job. We never were. To make matters worse, the company charged us for the final payment without our signing off on the contract, and we had the bank reverse the payment. After coming another time to try to finish they processed the final payment again, without our signing off. We asked them to consider a discount on the final payment in the interests of customer service, but they never responded. We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and are pursuing all other options to make this right. Utah Flooring and Design is the worst at customer service.

I am very pleased with the outcome after a few issues they came back out expediently and addressed them. I highly recommend!

There was a miscommunication in our carpet install and the installer came out on a Saturday to make sure it got installed and that customer was happy

Was very prompt into visiting us and bidding on our job. Was very detailed and prompt in returning us a bid. Unfortunately, their schedule was too far out for us, so we were unable to go with Utah Flooring.

Got me in fast, instal was done fast and correct.

the Workman we're not on time and delayed or the first day on the second day. threw my schedule off and I'm afraid that workmen are going to be stepping on each other because I' have carpet layers coming on Friday. I would recommend this company for their quality of work but not for their timeliness and getting it done.

Had to reschedule 3 times

The work was scheduled for only one day, it should have been 1 1/2 to 2. This put the installer in the unenviable positiion of having to;fit me in &; on subsequent days. Which created issues with his ability to be there when he said he would be. Several appointments were missed and had to be rescheduled multiple times. A job that should have taken 2 days took a week to complete. The most disturbing part of the way I was treated was that Utah Flooring and Design charged my credit card for the unpaid balance without confirming if the work was complete, which it wasn't at the time that my card was charged, and that the owner, Jason, seemed not to care that this had happened. This is unethical and a violation of their own T's & C's and the contract that I had with them. And instead of Jason trying to make this right, when I informed him that I had initiated with my credit union the process by which to dispute that charge, he suggested that I might have to pay him again once the work was completed if the disputed monies were unavailable to him.

What was supposed to take 3-5 days took 30 days. Information given was incorrect, they did not show up when expected, and communication was horrible. I was extremely unhappy with the entire experience. To be completely fair I am happy with the final product and they worked with me on the final price but I have another project in the future and will definitely not hire this company.
