The warranty papers says that the fence is guaranteed to 110 mph and we had 90 mph in Layton, UT and I lost the majority of our fence.  When I called them I was informed that the winds were over 110 mph and when I told them the winds were only 90 mph I was then told that the warranty only covers labor (which the paperwork doesn't specify).  So they came out and as I was talking to the salesman about a post that sheared off I was told that they won't cover it because they don't carry that manufacturer anymore because of poor quality and I would have to contact them to get a refund.  The funniest thing about this situation is that, with free labor under the warranty, the cost to fix the fence was about $500 more than what it cost to put it in the first place (about 15 months earlier).  It is obvious that their product doesn't even come close to meeting 110 mph so don't believe it.  I would think it is closer to 70-80 mph.

So they don't stand behind their warranty and they try to milk customers during a natural disaster.  STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

The customer service was horrible. It took them 11 months to finish and they even sued us. They wouldn t come back and fix the fence that was not installed right. The actual product was good, but the installation was the worst. They finally came back and fixed it, but it took them nine months. We would never recommend them to anyone.

Fence was installed in completely different area than was agreed to in estimate, and pre-installation walk through. Fence is crooked, 3 gates do not work. Contacted company immediately after work was "completed" regarding dissatisfaction. I have left over 15 messages with the company sales rep, installation manager, and receptionist, and a certified letter sent with NO response in over 4 MONTHS. I had pay to have another fence company come to fix the gates since they would not open. On top of all that, the installers left empty beer cans and cigarette butts on my property.

I would not recommend them to anyone. They hire contractors to install the fencing so you never know who you are going to get and the quality of work they will do. Did not care about us once we put the 50% down. Both my neighbors were not happy with them either. Some of the fence paneling was warped so we had to get them replaced. R&L Builds their own fencing. When choosing a fence company, ask them if they install it or if they hire someone. They did match their competitors price which was one positive thing. Did not update us when they promised a date but came a week late. Salesman promised many things but the company could not deliver (on time installation, can do any request, etc.). He bad mouthed other companies which I should have not fell for that sales tactic.

I thought they were excellent. I would recommend them to family and friends. They clean up after themselves. They gave me an estimate an the estimate was right on with the final cost. I had no problems with them.

R & L installed a great PVC fence for me and I was very satisfied with the work done. Had a small issue with them coming when I needed them to, but this was not totally their fault. They had other jobs to do first and the weather was bad also. Overall I was happy.

I felt the quality of the fence, the workmanship, and concern of the company were all poor. They did a horrible job on everything. There is no way that I would ever use them again.
