I like the owner, seems intelligent and sincere and probably does a great job. The groupon didn't really suit our needs. Not his fault. He gave us a bid on what it would take to make our sprinkler system work, but it was outside of our budget.

They were great. They came out and took care of the work and we were really happy. We ended up having some more work done, so we did spend more. They responded quickly and took care of the work satisfactory, so I would recommend them. I don't really have a lot to compare the price too because we haven't had much sprinkler work done, but we were satisfied with what they did for the price.

It went very well and I was pleased with the work. However, I bought the "coupon" from Angie's list for a "tune up" for about $59 but needed additional work done which required paying not just for the additional work but also for the service call as well, even though he was already here for the coupon visit. So I ended up paying more than if I had just called them to come and not bought the coupon. I don't think I will make that mistake again--I won't buy anymore coupons!

They were very polite professional and responsible. They had &an unavoidable delay and called ahead and repeatedly advised me off the situation. It had no impact on my schedule so we agreed they would come as soon as they could which they did. They worked steadily and quickly advised me of what they were doing ,charged me only for the big deal agreement. They could have told me I needed system work or that they had to perform some other repair but they did not. I was very pleased with their work. Additional comment: This was a the first Big Deal offer I had used. Upon reading the information provided, I clearly understood that because I had extra zones in my system, there would be additional cost, and how much I should expect to pay. I am very satisfied with the whole transaction.

It went great! They were able to fix a newly broken head, found the long lost valve for the back yard, and even adjusted some heads to not water the sidewalk

I wasn't impressed with the maintenance special. I didn't feel like it was very thorough and I felt like I had to identify alot of the issues. I did like their suggestions on watering times, duration, lawn maintenance, etc. I feel like all the issues are now addressed and my system is working well but it also cost more than anticipated and two visits.

Poorly. It took two grown men almost Three hours to cap two heads. The team spent very little time on checking the heads on front and back lawn( less than ten minutes ) which was the hot deal I signed up for and then charged me the whole time they were here to fix the heads. Talked to a manager and was provided a rate based upon our review of the time sheet associatd with the workers time on site instead of the bill that was provided

Who I dealt with: Parker - The manager (and possibly the owner) Raudell - The guy that came to do the repairs The Good: - Parker's responsiveness and willingness to get the job done right The Bad: - I was told it would cost "$200 or a little bit more". When i was given the final invoice it was $650. - They charge $85 PER REPAIR PERSON. The whole time Raudell had an assistant there helping him so I was billed $170 an hour. I see no reason why the assistant should be $85 an hour. Had Raudell done the job himself, I doubt it would have taken the time I was billed for two people. - The tune-up was almost a complete waste. They watched all the sprinklers run. They decided to replace one, but they failed to calibrate it after replacing it. So it was shooting into the street the next time I ran it. So the tune-up actually made things worse. They did come back to fix that, but seemed like a pretty serious oversight. Final Thoughts: - I'm not sure if I will use this company again. If I do, I will certainly request a written estimate and hold them to it. I was impressed with Parker's responsiveness and willingness to get things right, but I was less impressed with the technician. The repair that the technician did was good, but the fact that the final cost was 3 times more than he estimated was a huge problem for me.

I hating feeling screwed over by a company. I signed for a $59.99 sprinkler "tune-up" because I had spots in the lawn and garden that didn't seen to be getting enough water, and my system had stopped working, and I couldn't figure out why. (And by the way... here's how the Angie's List "deals" work, or so I have heard: Angie's List keeps most, if not all, of the price of the "deal". The company then comes out and tries to up-sell. Think about it - have you EVER had a company come out on one of these and leave without you paying extra for something?? I have become very, very wary of these "deals".) So, the technician comes out and starts looking at the system and points out some leaks, etc. He did not fix them however, but did tell me how to do so. It's an easy fix, so no biggie. However, I happen to have 7 stations on my system instead of the 6 stated on the deal so there was an upcharge of $15.00 for that. (See how this works?) I'm not sure what the charge was for exactly..... turn it on and look at it?? Yeah, that's labor intensive. Also, the deal states that the system times will be adjusted for better watering. THAT was not done. The timer on my system is exactly the same, and spots are still not being watered. Also, the problem with my system no working was a small electric connection that had come loose on the timer. It just needed to be pushed backed in. Now I know. He DID push that back in. Good for him. A few days before Hot Shots came out, I had noticed a valve leaking, so I asked him to take a look. I decided to go ahead and have it replaced because I knew it had to be done eventually. The technician $59.99 cost of the "deal". Now, why should that be, if they are already at my house and have collected the $59.99. Shouldn't that leave the service fee at $25.01? I believe the reason it does not, is that the company has NOT been paid the Angie's list "deal" fee... Angie's list has kept it. So they need to charge that in order to make any money off the service call, while you, the customer, get screwed. And then there is the cost of the 1"angle valve with flow control. They charged me $58.91, plus being nickle and dimed for other misc. parts to the tune of $14.45. I am sitting here as I write, looking online at Home Depot at a Rain Bird 1" angle valve with flow control for $28.00. I expect a bit of a mark-up, but that's over 100%. I had to leave before the technician finished the valve, so I was forced to leave a blank check with my 17 year old son. I was not aware of the final charge until later that evening. Had I been home, I would have questioned the charges on the spot. I was forced to put a stop payment on the check. Now this company want to charge me and additional $68.43 in various fees and charges. So much for the Angie's List "deal".

The tests went fine but when we got to the estimate for the shut off valve things got a little off. The owner told me the workers would give me an estimate but the worker told me the owner had a set price...$890. Also he insisted I didn't have secondary water because he couldn't find a shut off valve. I later hired an Angies list company who found the shut off valve in a couple of minutes and did the work for me on the spot for $259! Not sure what was going on but over $600 difference is concerning. Anyway botton line the testing service was fine so I'm giving them a B but I wouldn't hire again because of the estimate problem. Also they were 4 hours late because of car trouble?

The only problem I experienced was they showed up two hours early. Fortunately I was home so it didn't create any problems. They ran through all 8 sprinkler stations and provided me recommendations on what needed to be done as well as a quote. I had four broken heads and a couple dry spots where the sprinklers weren't reaching. I went ahead and had them do the work to replace the broken heads and adjust the sprinklers so they could reach the dry areas. They provided recommendations on adjusting watering times. Overall a good experience.

I thought some of my initial cost would be applied towards the future repairs and its not overall. I think I could have gotten a better deal.

It actually did not turn out very well. I feel like the deal was being switched position. The guys came and said what you need is gonna be extra $300. By the time I said "Okay fine, go ahead and do that" it was actually an extra $700. I was not really happy with them and in fact I told the people "I'm not gonna pay your bills until I talked to the owner of the company." That service was done 2 months ago and they never billed me and they never did anything. But if they do bill me, I'm gonna tell them "Forget it." I'm gonna pay them the $300 that the guy quoted me. I think what happened is this guy put a lot of stuff out of me and he got overwhelmed and he just hire a bunch of subcontractors. That's what I feel. I have a difficult sprinkler system, there's no doubt. My problems is "Oh yeah, were gonna go ahead and start," and then "Oh wow, we have a little bit more that we need to do and it's gonna cost more more." I said "Okay, how much?" If they didn't even close to $300 I wouldn't have flip my wig. They didn't even finish what they said they were gonna finish. They were late.

They did what they said they were going to do.

Very fast check up and assessment done on my current sprinking system. Provided great recommendations, fixed one sprinkler head and move another one that wasn't spraying well, because of plant blockage. Did an excellent job and very courteous. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Parker is very prompt and helpful. He replaced a broken filter the next day after I called. This is our second time using his services. I highly recommend his service, however the charges seemed excessive.

Unlike other landscape companies, they actually answered and returned my call. A tech came and assessed our issues and made a bid. He trouble-shot a problem valve that wouldn't stop spraying while he was here as well. $ paid for the bid because we didn't end up doing the work (husband had knee surgery instead with the money).

Hot Shot Sprinklers were very professional and knowledgeable. I initially used them from an Angies list deal to give me a spinkler system Tune up. I knew I needed a lot more work since the sprinklers had been put in by the previous owner of our house, not a professional. We have had several line breaks before and I couldn't find the right company to help get the whole system sorted out until I worked with Hot Shots. During the Tune up we were able to determine the list of issues and scheduled an appointment that we could get them fixed. They came out the second time, right on time again, and got to work with the list: fix a leak in the back-flow, re-set a few sprinkler heads in the ground correctly so I wouldn't run them over with the lawn mower, change the heads of one line to get a better coverage (a side note here I appreciated that they left the old heads with me so I could change out any future broken ones). Then the real issue. I has one cycle that had never worked along the back fence so we had to determine the issue and fix it. He checked the valve that was OK, he dug up a few spots to see if the water was flowing to there. He figured out the issue was a broken line and fixed it.

Last week, when Hot Shot Repair tech came and assessed our sprinkler system, I was not too impressed. Today was the follow-up apt and I was more impressed this time. Same Tech called and said that he could be earlier, and was on time this time. He drained the filled systems, dismantled the problem area, and then told me he has initially misdiagonized the problem. He proceeded to tighten some joints, and replaced a valve. He then finished the initial service by correcting the scope of each sprinkler head, and adjusted the length, etc, of my watering schedule. This was all done within an hour, and I think I should be good now for rest of the season.

Bought the Angies Big Deal. Ended up paying 50 bucks more than last year with out the Big Deal Not a great or good deal. Parker is great just over priced. Mostly Angie Deal's fault

First, he called early to see if he could come early. I asked when and he said he could be there in a half hour. Then apparently he got lost. I have no idea where he went, but by the time he finally showed up he rushed through the whole job. Basically he turned on my sprinklers and told me which ones needed to be adjusted or replaced or raised up. One zone turned out to have a hole in a pipe, which explained why the previous owner of this house had it set to run for 1 minute. No actual work of any kind was done. It was simply an opportunity for this company to charge me $60 to tell me how much it would cost to fix what is wrong with my sprinklers. Calling it a "Full Sprinkler Tune-Up" is grossly misleading. I don't know whethr to be irritated with myself, the company, or Angie's List. I do know that I will never bother with an Angie's List "Big Deal" again. After I finish typing this I am going to check if there is somewhere in my preferences to ask Angie's List never to send me such offers again.

I used them previously and I've been happy with them. I just felt they did a good job, I liked the people they hire and they seem confident. They know what they were doing, did a good job and it always worked when they left.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was not great. The sprinklers that were supposed to be fixed are still broken and the sprinkling time is running at 2 p.m. instead of 3 a.m. It is not working. I have called this company and left a message. I am still waiting to hear back. I got charged approximately $80 more. They were an hour late for our appointment.

Called because he was detained with an emergency. He had asked we take pictures with measurements prior to his visit so he came ready to make recommendations. Left us with a timeline & who will be coming.

How'd it go? For a $59 checkup he completely removed all of my worries about my sprinkler system, educated me about how everything on it worked and then gave me a bid for what it'd cost for him to fix everything right there on the spot. I opted to do the work myself because i fancy myself a handyman. I think he quoted me $280 to fix everything - which in retrospect i'd probably have a much greener yard (and a bit happier wife) if i'd just paid for the repairs on the spot. As is i'm happy with what i learned replacing and fixing everything myself and we're all set for the rest of this year and next. It was seriously the best $59 i've spent on my home since our purchase in December. I'd recommend this to everyone. In fact - I really wish Angie's list had a "share to facebook" button or something so that i could send more people their way - especially with that deal. Two of my employees used the same deal - so i guess i'm getting the word out a little bit. I'll definitely be contacting these guys if i ever have questions/problems with my sprinkler system again.
