The company had 2 gentlemen that came to tune-up the sprinklers. They were beginning to do some work and when I asked what it was going to cost, he said almost $200.00, plus the $59.00 up-front wasn't even included! I told them to stop work, that I just wanted them to check the watering cycle and move one spinkler to go around the shrubs. They turned one sprinkler on (that had been shut off by a neighbor) and added 1 riser----and that was a 20 minute job. It ended up costing me $179.00 total. Some special that was!

Communication was very good throughout the job. Scheduling was easy and they were punctual. Recommendations were excellent. The on-site engineer was very knowledgeable and professional. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely hire Hot Shot Sprinkler again.

Jason was running a bit behind schedule, however he gave me a call and told me so which I appreciated. He greeted me when he arrived and got right to work asking me if I had any specific concerns. He told me what he was doing and made me feel confident that my sprinkler system will run after he tested and adjusted each component. I appreciate his suggestions for improving the water coverage in my yard.

Wow. Amazing and professional from first contact. I had an emergency main line break. The scope of the problem was buried. The company owner called me back within hours and scheduled a repair for the first thing in the morning. This was over a holday weekend, no less. The workman politely and professionally called when he ran late. He had to dig to discover the problem. He not only fixed the problem, he improved my deep underground sprinkler turn on/off valve. This was a miserable problem to fix on a very hot day. I only wish these guys repaired everything.

Hot spot was great. They were the only company that I called that were able to come out the next day. They were very courteous and polite. They fixed it, stayed until it was fixed. I would use them again. They were a little pricey, but like I said, they were the only ones who would respond to me.

ARRIVED ABOUT AN HOUR BEHIND SCHEDULE TO DO THE WORK, THEY BOTH WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THEY ASSESSED THE DAMAGE, CHECKED THE WATER PRESSURE AND GAVE ME THEIR RECOMMENDATION ON HOW TO FIX IT PROPERLY. THE WARRANTY ON PARTS AND LABOR IS FOR 2 YEARS. THE BAD: THE REPAIR WAS FAIRLY MINOR AS ALL IT NEEDED WAS A 2 FOOT PVC PIPE REPLACEMENT, HOWEVER, I CHOSE TO HAVE IT REPAIRED TO THEIR RECOMMENDATION WHICH INCLUDED A FILTER/PRESSURE REDUCER ON THE DRIP LINE AND A DRAIN ON EACH OF THE 3 VALVES THAT RAN THE SYSTEM. I DID THE DIGGING AND REMOVAL OF THE VALVE BOX AND IT WAS COMPLETE PRIOR TO THEIR ARRIVAL, I ALSO TOLD THEM THAT I WOULD RE-INSTALL THE VALVE BOX AND PUT THE DIRT BACK MYSELF TO SAVE ON LABOR CHARGES. I WAS THEN REQUIRED TO SIGN A CONTRACT FOR THE WORK WHICH DID NOT INCLUDE A TOTAL PRICE FOR THE WORK. THAT WAS A VERY BAD MISTAKE ON MY PART, SO BE AWARE OF THIS IF YOU HAVE THEM DO WORK FOR YOU, DO NOT SIGN CONTRACT UNTIL YOU HAVE THE TOTAL PRICE OF REPAIR IN WRITING BEFORE THE WORK IS DONE! BE AWARE OF THIS ALSO: PARKER SENT 2 GUYS OUT TO DO A 1 MAN JOB, THE LABOR RATE FOR EACH GUY WAS $89.00 PER HOUR OR A TOTAL OF $178.00 AN HOUR FOR MY REPAIR SO IF YOU HAVE A MINOR REPAIR THAT ONLY TAKES 1 GUY AND THEY SEND OUT 2 GUYS YOUR GOING TO PAY WAY-WAY-WAY TO MUCH FOR LABOR. IT TOOK 2.25 HOURS FOR 2 GUYS TO DO A FAIRLY EASY REPAIR, 1 GUY LEFT THE JOB FOR PARTS WHILE THE OTHER GUY STAYED AND TALKED ON HIS CELL PHONE FOR 45 MINUTES UNTIL THE OTHER GUY RETURNED BECAUSE HE HAD NOTHING ELSE TO DO, YET I WAS UNAWARE THAT I WAS BEING CHARGED THE $89.00 PER GUY RATE OR $178.00 PER HOUR TOTAL DURING HIS PHONE CONVERSATION. THE NEXT THING TO BE AWARE OF IS THE EXTORTIONATE PRICE THEY CHARGE FOR PARTS. THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $235.11 FOR THE FILTER/PRESSURE REDUCER WHICH YOU CAN PROBABLY GET FOR $20.00 AT HOME DEPOT. I WAS SO NOT HAPPY WHEN THEY TRYED TO CHARGE ME THAT MUCH, SO ONE OF THE GUYS CALLED PARKER AND HE OKAYED A $100.00 PRICE REDUCTION ON THAT PART WHICH BROUGHT IT TO $135.11, STILL WAY-WAY-WAY OVERPRICED! BECAUSE I SIGNED THE CONTRACT WITHOUT A TOTAL PRICE FOR THE REPAIR IN ADVANCE OF THE WORK BEING PERFORMED, HOT SHOT REPAIRS WAS ABLE TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF ME AND PRETTY MUCH CHARGE ME WHATEVER THEY WANTED FOR THE REPAIR AND IT IS MY OPINION THAT THEY SCREWED ME OVER. I DID ALL THE DIGGING AND STILL THE BILL ENDED UP AT $621.81, $400.50 FOR 2.25 HOURS OF LABOR (IT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN LESS THAN 1 HOUR BY 1 GUY) AND $221.31 FOR PARTS (THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $331.21 ORIGINALLY) I ESTIMATE THE PARTS COULD HAVE BEEN PICKED UP AT HOME DEPOT FOR LESS THAT $40.00. IF YOUR WEALTHY AND DON'T MIND BEING OVERCHARED, GIVE THEM A TRY. OTHERWISE HEED MY WARNING AND CALL SOMEONE ELSE, YOU WILL SAVE A WHOLE BUNCH OF MONEY!

I had a problem with one of the zones not working and water leaking into the street. -repaired electrical connection -replaced zone valve that was leaking -checked out system -responded quickly -showed good expertise in knowing sprinkler systems

This company over charged us for major repairs that someone else fixed for $300. The owner came out and we were so disappointed with the entire experience that it actually required hiring an attorney. The law suite was ruled in our favor and I vowed to warn my friends and neighbors about this company.

They dis very little. Did not get what was anticipated

Made some adjustments - some of which were fine, but a couple of sprinkler heads were replaced by me the next day.

I think I expected more than was offered. Could be my fault. The rep was very pleasant but not prepared to do what I expected for the price that was quoted in the ad. He thought that price was to give me an estimate for the needed work. He ended up doing another chore I needed done for the same price.

Bought a deal from Angie's list. They were courteous but felt they did not perform the service for which I paid. The sprinkler next to wall was not fixed and the sprinkler in the middle of the lawn was not fixed.

I think I paid another $89 on top of the Big Deal. They are very fair, they came out and checked it to make sure it's working well. The fans wasn't good, they said they can probably do it next year or this year if I wanted to do it and I just wanted it done because I felt very comfortable with them. They are prompt and they did nice, clean stuff and I'm very pleased with their service.

They were quick, thorough and seemed to do the job we needed.

Our appointment was for 11:00 a.m. He came at 2 pm, but he did call a couple of times to let us know he was running late. He said the reason it wouldn't turn on was because there was static electricity in the box. All he had to do was turn it off and take the battery out for 30 seconds and it worked fine. He then checked the system and replaced a couple of sprinkler heads and straightened a couple that were at odd angles. He took the time to show my husband how to activate the system and a couple of other things about how it works. The next time the system went on, we found that the last set of sprinklers would not turn off. We had to turn off the secondary water to get it to stop. We called Hot Shot again and they found that a diaphragm had worn out and they replaced it. He also cleaned out the filter for the secondary water. There are not many places that fix established sprinkler systems.

They were delayed because of a traffic accident otherwise the check of the sprinklers was just what was needed.

The initial $60.00 Hot Shots sale listed on Angies List resulted in (1.) only minimal improvments and (2) a very mis-under-estimated price for suggested additional needed work which couldn't be covered by the initial $60 tune-up. But the $511.00 follow-up service, which included the majority of the sprinkler system adjustments, as well as a revised (much increased) watering schedule (and a big jump in my water bill) took my lawn from the worst most sparsely growing browned-out lawn on the street, to one of the most attractive uniform and totally green lawns on the street in only one summer (July1 to August 30). Botom line--a fairly costly service, but it (and all the additional watering) produced results which I'm very pleased with. Who said: "You get what you pay for"?e

They did a very good job. The technicians were punctual, professional and timely. They had worked late 2 nights in a row were going to have to come back a third day to install a part. However, they went ahead and ran to get the part that we needed and came back to our home to install the part so we wouldn't have to wait any longer. I feel like they went above and beyond for us.

The technician did a great job at fixing the leak. He knew what he was doing. He was almost 2 hours late for his 2nd appointment, however. And the owner did not inform me at all. I thought he was going to be a no-show. I had to make numerous calls to the office to find out what's going on. It turned out the tech's previous appt was running too long. Well they could've at least tell me!! We had to cancel kids activities due to the delays. It completely ruined our Saturday afternoon! I did receive a regular 10% discount on the final bill, but was declined by the owner when requesting an additional discount for the 2-hour lateness.

Hot Shot Sprinkler professionals arrived on time, and went right to work after I explained the issue to them. I had a broken sprinkler head (and line as it turned out) right by the roots of a big spruce. They were able to fix the line and head in less than 30 minutes -- amazing considering the cramped environment and roots involved. These guys aren't inexpensive, but for an emergency fix they are the best.

Everything went well. They arrived right on time, were professional and courteous, and their repairs have held up well. We were very happy with the service.

They determined within a short period of time that our installer had made mistakes and this was the reason for the dead spots in our lawn. They demonstrated the gain of pressure when one head was removed from the zone. An estimate was given to make the system adequately cover the lawn. The owner contacted us by phone and stated his disappointment that this job was not an easy fix. All interactions were positive and professional.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was fine. One little problem was that he left the sprinkler head on, but that was the only issue. I had to pay extra for something that was broken.

It took longer than expected to dig out the pipe so it ended up costing me more.
