Description of Work: Best work I have ever seen. The guys do outstanding work. They installed a length of straight fencing and 2 metal (welded) gates. They cleaned up each day during the installation, and were respectful of the garden plants. I would not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

Description of Work: Since having thousands off dollars of damage to my fence from April's record setting hail storm, I called Cisco to come out to look at my fence they built for me about about a year and a half ago. My husband and I took off from work to make sure we were home for the appt. Francisco drove in front of our home in his truck and then left. I know this because I was in my front yard when he pulled up in front of my home. He did not go to the other fence appointments either that were scheduled after my appointment, I know this because I am friends with the other two people he had appointments with. We did not receive a phone call. We called and left several messages. No response from anyone! They build a nice fence but forget getting any costumer service or any response from Francsico for a "repair" or estimate of any kind if you already have an existing fence built by Cisco. He will not be getting any business from me again, which is too bad because the fence was considered a total loss by insurance company . I will be going elsewhere for any fencing work.

Response from Cisco Fencing
The member hired Cisco Fencing to provide a service. Nothing was done at his house. Our company decided to cancel the contract with the member. Before we started the work, the member was demanding work that wasn't apart of our contract. When we tired to explained to him that it wasn't apart of our agreement, he started using inappropriate language. We asked him to speak to us with respect. He didn't want to listen and continued using inappropriate language so we decided to terminate the contract with the member.

Description of Work: Installed backyard fence and two gates. Overall, beautiful job- product was worth the wait. The process could have been more professional and customer friendly. My time was not respected- you are on their schedule even when the weather is clear skies. The product however outweighed the annoyance. Love it!!

I contacted him for a quote in February. We were to meet early one weekday evening -- when he didn't arrive, I called his cell and he explained/apologized he was preparing tax paperwork for his employees. We set another appointment for Sat., 2/14. He arrived promptly 2/14, measured the existing fence, showed us his photo album, and discussed options. I mentioned we had found him through Angie's List. We made some basic choices and he quoted $5,994. Over the next month, I solicited quotes from 2 other firms. Along the way, Angel and I exchanged e-mail. I asked him to re-quote with one of the gates wider than the existing one, and if his crew could remove a basketball post set in concrete, too (i.e., as long they were already removing steel posts set in concrete). He always responded quickly, agreed to both, and did not change his original quote! When I asked about the Angie's List discount, he said it was already factored into the quote. Of the 3 quotes I solicited and received, his was the middle (though much closer to the lowest than the highest). Though the lowest bidder could start sooner, I chose Cisco because of his Angie's List reputation and because fencing is not a second job. I signed with him in mid-March; he said work would begin on/by 4/16. A few days before the appointed date, I saw flags & paint marks in my lawn from the various utilities. As promised, his crew arrived Thu., 4/16, removed most of the existing fence & posts, and began setting new poles. They were friendly and professional. Their English is better than my Spanish, but they patiently let me practice on them :-). Fri., 4/17 was too rainy, but the (pre-treated, fortunately!) lumber arrived. Over the next 3 days, they had completed a beautiful new fence with 3 gates (including the "extra wide" one). In addition to hauling off the old fence, they cleaned up *most* their scraps and such. However, there were a few bits'n'pieces left behind - a few concrete "plugs" from the old fence, a few concrete "mixing spots," some trimmed off wood bits, etc. Some of the scraps were left in "good faith" -- after the workers had left for the evening, a neighbor told me he had asked them to leave some of the scraps because he wanted some of them, and volunteered to dispose of the rest. So my neighbor left some of scraps & the concrete bits, but not all. Sadly, they didn't finish the basketball pole removal. It looks like they split the concrete and pulled half of it, but were unable(?) to pull the rest of the concrete and free the pole. I sent an e-mail to Angel asking about disposal of the concrete and if he had any further thoughts about basketball pole. It has gone unanswered for about a month now.

I called Cisco Fencing to schedule a free estimate consultation. When I called on Thursday, we set up a time for 12:00pm on the following Tuesday. 12:00 on Tuesday rolls around and no Cisco. I call around 12:45 and he argued with me that we had said 2:00. Luckily, he was able to come out within the hour although this was a huge inconvenience to me being a new mom of a 4-month old with a nursing/nap schedule. When he showed up, I felt very rushed. His measurements were quick and inaccurate- his numbers were 40-50' ft different than the other companies I had met with. He seemed displeased with what my husband and I wanted. Our HOA is pretty specific and we had already decided every detail of what we needed/wanted. Cisco said it was "impossible" to slope our wrought iron fence with the natural slope of the ground (even though our neighbors had a naturally sloped fence!). We have a dog and didn't want to do the step off look due to unwanted space underneath. He said it would be way too expensive. Worst of all- he never even called us back or emailed us our estimate. I could tell he didn't want to mess with wrought iron or work with what my husband and I had desired. Also, we asked about their senior discount (which they advertise on Angies List) and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. Not impressed at all!

We had scheduled a time for 12:00 and we had made a mistake and wrote the time 2:00 p.m. When the customer contacted me about being late for the appointment, there was never an argument I apologized to them about writing the time wrong. When I met with the member and met with her and her mother and I explained to them that what they were wanting had to be special made wrought iron fence. I explained to her that it would be more expensive than normal and she told me that she had a budget and she wants to stay in that budget. I told her that for this kind of work that she is looking for would be outside of her budget. I told her that I would not be able to help her because her budget was to low to cover the labor and materials. I am all about my customers and I am very sincere with my customers. That's why every single member that we have done work for is more than 100% satisfied with our work and quality. I'm sorry that she feels that way. I didn't mean to make her feel that way. I was just trying to be honest and letting her know about how much something like she was looking for cost and her budget was to low. About the 10% for the senior discount, we do honor that.

The quality of work was awesome. The fence included Trim, baseboard and pre-treated (i.e. pre-stained), 6ft tall Cedar (wide boards) with steel posts (buried 3ft deep). The fence covered a perimeter of 187ft. They completed the work in 21/2 days. They also gave me a 10 year warranty. All other quotes, from other companies, were quite high and did not cover all of the stuff mentioned above. The second best was $6500.00. Saying Angies List helped a lot. They badly want a positive presence on Angies list and will give you a good deal if you mention Angies list.

Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome of the project. The fence is pretty awesome and I feel like Angel and his crew were intent on making me happy. I didn't feel like it was all about the money. Owning a company myself, I pay close attention to detail like pride in your work, quality, and excellent customer service. Ciscos Fences reflects that.
Description of Work: I contacted Angel Lopez from Cisco Fences after finding them on Angie's list. Angel came out promptly and gave a bid. I also gathered three other bids. Two from other "list" recommendations and one from a sign on a fence in the neighborhood. Mr. Lopez was very professional and his bid was accurate and fair. I say accurate because two of the other fence companies "questimated" the length of my fence or loosly laid a tape measure around. After measuring the fence myself, I realized that they were both off by at least 10 feet (when they bid by the foot that makes a difference so beware!) but Angel took the time to measure exactly and came up with the correct length. He also offered a ten year warranty where the other companies only offered two years. That is huge! I accepted his bid and was also pleased that he asked for a significantly smaller deposit than his competitors. His crew, headed by Aldo (very hard working and attentive) started in approx. two weeks. I was told the turn around time would be 3-1/2 days. They actually finished in 2-1/2 days. That was a pleasant surprise. They were very curteous and aimed to please. As a bonus, they cased out some existing fence posts, which was a lot of work and was not in the original bid, and didn't charge extra. Every day they cleaned up after themselves. The only negative thing I would have to mention is that in the determination to get the job done efficiently,my existing landscaping suffered some damage. Although I know it is difficult to work around a lot of landscaping I wish just a little more caution was taken in that respect.

I called Angel and he showed up for the estimate at our agreed upon time. I was not stood up, so right away he received extra points! He walked me through everything he would provide and showed photos of his work. I was impressed right from the start. I had three other contractors coming out so I advised Angel I would get back to him. Angel's pricing was right in the middle of all my estimates. However, what he provided and his expert quality set him apart. You could tell from talking with him and his photos, that he is in a different league. He was also the only one that accurately informed me that you DO need a permit in Dallas when constructing an 8' tall fence. We agreed on a 3 week start date. They showed up and started on that day without me having to call and ask if they remembered. From start to finish it was 4.5 days ( they allowed time for the posts to set up). They did an outstanding job! They are very detailed and it shows in their work. We have a large yard and this was only the first stage. I will definitely use Cisco for the rest of my fencing needs!
Description of Work: We had a 100' X 8', board on board fence added. This included tear down of old chain link fence, removal of grown in landscaping, #1 cedar, top cap with trim, heavy gage steel posts on 6' centers at 3' deep, treated 2" X6" runner and staining of new fence.

Angel did way more than meet my expectations! He exceeded them and at a price far better than anyone else!
Description of Work: Angel came out at the start of December to give me a bid for a new fence that we intended to have done after the first of the year. Due to a sudden death in the family, the fence ended up getting put off. I called him back in February and asked if he would rebid...other bidders changed their bids since time had elapsed. Angel said his bid was still good and we agreed to start in two weeks. Due to the weather, Angel's team came early and started my fence a day ahead. They tore down the old fence and built a gorgeous new one the next day. The quality and detail of the work for the price we paid was superb! Angel even had the gate designed as a special extra at no cost to us!! WOW!

Upon meeting Francisco Lopez of Cisco Fences, I explained that I wanted a fence that was sturdier and nicer than a builder fence, but not too expensive. I wanted a cedar fence with steel posts. Most companies were interested in building me the fence that they wanted to build, not the fence that I wanted. Cisco Fence was different and understood the concept of a budget for the fence. Furthermore, Francisco was very motivated to do business with me and suggested some things that would make the fence look more appealing and customized it without adding to the cost. He gave me an excellent price and the most beautiful fence ever. I daresay it looks as nice as many of the much more expensive fences in my neighborhood. His crew came out and put the posts in 3 feet deep as promised on the start date. They took down the old fence and an old trumpet vine and hauled the old fence away. They left my yard very neat and clean. The workers were very polite and clean and worked efficiently. They came back with stained cedar and proceeded to construct the fence which they finished that day. This company employs highly skilled professionals who do beautiful work above and beyond a basic fence. I am highly recommending Cisco Fence Company to my neighbors and friends and would suggest that you consider their bid.
Description of Work: I got many bids for a new fence since mine was rotten and leaning. One of the bids was from Cisco Fences (972) 880-4531 and I had the opportunity to meet Francisco Lopez.

My old fence got uprooted during a wind storm and I started looking for various vendors. I contacted about 7 of them, some through Angie's list and got the cost and options from them. Then I noticed a beautiful new fence in my neighborhood. I talked to the owner about his experience and then contacted Angel (contractor). He visited my home, measured my yard and discussed with me the various options. His price was the second lowest and since I had already seen his work, I decided to go with him. He started the fence following week and finished it in 3 and a half days. His guys were very professional and created a nice fence. Very happy with his work and the overall experience.
Description of Work: Fencing; approximately 150 linear foot, board on board cedar, stained after installation, metal post, height 8 feet on the back and 6 feet on the sides, two wooden custom gates.
